    • @flok2929
      @flok2929 4 года назад

      May I ask: do you have like problems with clipping or compression with your V4 in your setup? I have a setup like you, a TC spark boost, a ocd clone, a Thunderclaw, and gfi for del/Reverb. And: on channel 1 with gain arround 9 to 10, when throwing in an OD ( mainly as boost, so gain rather low) it starts clipping/compressing heavily, dempending on how much gain i set the pedals up (tc spark boost is fine, but the ocd set as boost, seems to be too much, so the sound starts clipping almost like a fuzz).
      Didnt have a Problem like this with my Orange Amp. But as I got the V4 for cheap used, I had to give it a try

    • @jordanm7898
      @jordanm7898 4 года назад +1

      @@flok2929 mine's always fine, i have the input on my audio interface set so the loudest input i can give it (heavy palm mutes with drive and boost engaged) is just short of clipping therefore i know im not gonna have any issues. Hi man, really nice rig!
    Ever since I've seen those preamp pedals I have a tonal itch I can't scratch (but you can)... so I'll leave it here as a suggestion/request:
    it's a 4 "amps" rig and I dream it like this:
    A Countess or a Le clean ( maybe with scooped mids to allow the other two amps to be heard in the mix) paned in the middle, a Sheriff paned all the way to one side (or almost) and a Le Crunch paned all the way to the other side (maybe two Le Crunch because it has the sweep mids funcion) and a Kraken (paned in the middle, as well) as the solo sound/boost. So, the main sound would be the 3 "amps" at the same time, and the kraken (added, not as a substitute) to solo with. This, with your talent, skill and taste would (I'm assuming) sound really awesome. A wall of tone.
    The real amp alternative would be a nice advert for Victory amps: A Copper in the middle, a V40 panned to one side, a Sheriff to the other as the main sound, and a Kraken as the solo amp. Not going to suggest a way to mic it because that would be a long conversation, not a youtube comment.
    Sorry for this, just daydreaming in isolation.
    Thank you for your videos, music and inspiration!

    Fantastic Playing. I'd say You're easily one of the Best Guitarist's alive today. I was thinking wouldn't the BluGuitar Amp-1 Mercury Edition or the Iridium Edition accomplish the same thing for much simpler for a lot less money and give You a true Tube Tone because they use Nanotubes. They're rated at 100watts, but they're supposed to put out 180watts. All You need is Your Guitar, Cord, Amp-1 & Cabinet. I'm sure You're familiar with the BluGuitar Amp-1. My compact rig is an HX Stomp with an Eventide H9 in the loop. It's amazingly flexible and can do just about anything, but there is definitely a lot of menu diving and deep editing. There is definitely something very appealing about a rig like the one in this video, both in terms of simplicity and just from the standpoint of living within a fairly narrow set of options and making the absolute most of them.

      If you're going to do the pedal amp route, one of the Amp1 models would likely be a better value vs. the two Victory boxes for about $800 USD. In a single box roughly the same size as the Duchess you'd get a 4th channel, far more tonal options, and have full MIDI capability if you wanted to add that down the line.

      I woupd like to second this.
      Also, i might be in a minority but a rig that goes for a “very-compromised situation” rig whereas you only have the front of an amp no send and returns to go throughjust everything in the front like a beginnersrig type thing.

    It would be nice to see a Stereo versión of this pedal amp, also it should include the preamp of the cooper, just saying it would be a great idea to see an extremely powerful and versatile stereo solution you can take anywhere

      I could do a video using 2 of the V4 amps in stereo? With some pedals in front?

      Rabea Massaad yeah!! If you could bring the pedal baby 100 from Orange that would be cool, I’d like to see the quality of the sound class D power amp Victory chosed for the V4 pedal amp and the class AB, it is nice to save some money instead of buying 2 pedal amps 😁. Please suggest Victory my idea, it could a nice product on the market, remember it should be stereo and should hace 2 different preamps.

    Ive just realised the Kraken nails a perfect blackface w a TS sound AND gives you a bucket load of Marshall-y gain on tap if you want it....Call me crazy but I'm going to buy one and try pairing it with a Fender Bassman cause why not?

      It’s a diamond in the rough when in comes to strat tones man. Honestly you wouldn’t think it out of the victory range but it’s a beast at dirty blues

      Rabea Massaad yeah once you have your high power fender clean adding a preamp like the Kraken makes total sense for gain vs a tube screamer or a klon? This is a category error on my part not to have considered this sooner. Great vid man

    Are these Victory tube pedals made in the UK or Asia?

    Really interesting video. With the V4 amp having a solid state power amp, can you get good tones from this rig at bedroom volumes. Cheers

    Hello Bea,first Thanx for the great video and the idea in general to build up this chain of pedals. There is where my question comes in...what’s the rough price of the four pedals? (Without guitar and the UA-Box)
    Thanx you’re the greatest

    Sorry for the out of the context question but do you know Cloudkicker´s music? Your music and Cloudkicker´s are some of my favorite heavier music and for some reason i see some resemblance on both. Heavier tones, big melodies and ambient music intertwine in the same space.Just ou of curiosity of mine. Cheers from Portugal.
