After watching multiple videos on this amp I thought I really wanted one. Now after seeing this video I have to have one and will get it ASAP! Thanks for breaking everything down about it. I'm 100% sold.
a more affordable solution for me is to use the V4 pre pedals with an external poweramp or even the fx return of any amp head.you can also buy 2 preamps for that price like the copper and the jack or kraken and put them in series for a 4 channel clean to high gain preamp setup! cheers .🤟
Mine’s arriving tomorrow 🤘🤘 Haven’t got a cab for the time being so hoping studio monitors still give me the thwack-in-the-face I’m looking for from the Kraken.
what would the connections need to be if i wanted to use a v4 power amp with an extra v4 preamp and a pedal switcher such as the efx mkvi AND also have the ability to connect extra pedals (such as overdrives, wah etc before the preamp but controlled by the switcher) and a strymon timeline and an h90 on the effect loop (perhaps even 1 algorithm of the h90 on the preamp and 1 on the effects loop)
The V4 preamp would need to be in the loop of amp, the pedal switcher could use the remote input on the amp and the v4 preamp, so you can control the channel switch and reverb (v4 amp) and bypass and channel switch (v4 preamp). The overdrives could go into the front of the amp and the time based effects we recommend in the loop of the amp after the v4 preamp. Hope this helps!
@@VictoryAmps kinda cause you will have to take into consideration that with the switcher i can assign the order of the pedals that are in one of the 12 loops (especialliy the eq as well the h90) which affects the signal a lot regarding where i place them (before or after the preamp)
Hey guys, just got some OH V30 IR’s. What is the optimal sample rate, ms and other settings to use when uploading to torpedo remote? Also, how do I bypass the existing IR’s so I can just hear the one I’ve uploaded? Thanks!
Hey Victory Amps, can you clarify whether you need an instrument or speaker cable to connect the v4 kraken to a cab? The manual for the vx specifically says speaker cable only, but there's nothing I can find in the v4 manual about this. Cheers!
question 1: can u use it in a 4 cable method with a loop switcher such as the boss es8 (in my case musicom efx mkvi) and a lot of pedals such as overdrives, timeline, wah, eventide h90 etc ? question 2: can u change the v4 amp channel with the loop switcher through the footswitch insert ? question 3: can u add an extra channel as u showcase here with the v4 preamp but instead of that go cheaper with a v1 preamp pedal ? question 4: can u go direct to console mixer (with cab sim on) and simultaneously go to a real guitar cabinet also (without a cab sim) and hear both of those outputs at the same time ? the idea is to use the loop switcher (efx mkvi musicom) on a pretty big pedalboard with the v4 amp, wah, overdrives, delay, eventide h90, and even more pedals, and be able to control everything with the switcher. so u just carry that big pedalboard and a guitar to a gig, and hook up directly to the console, or even better to a real guitar cabinet (if there is one available at the venue) at the same time. right now i have connected all of the pedals on the loop switcher in a 4 cable method (so i can adjust the order of each pedal... before or after the preamp) and i have 3 cables to hook up to my amp (guitar in, effects send, effects return) the 4rth cable goes to the in of the pedalboard (therefore the 4 cable method). so can the v4 amp act like that and replace the need to carry my amp and cab everywhere ?
Question 1 - Yes, Question 2 - Yes, Question 3 - yes but it will not have the exact same effect as using a V4 preamp by bypassing the V4 amp preamp through the effects loop this will be more like using an overdrive pedal with the sound of Victory amp, Question 4 - Yes this should work, all the effects will come out of the Cab Sim and the Cab on stage. Thanks Victory
You can take a cab sim feed at the same time as using the speaker output on the amplifier. There is a separate speaker output and cab XLR output, there is also another line output which you can switch the cab sim on or off. Hope this helps, any questions just let us know!
@@VictoryAmps Cool! Then what if I use another preamp pedals instead of Copper? Like Two Notes Le Clean, Orange Guitar Butler, or any pedals that can be connected as 4CM. Would it be still switchable?
Great video! I was wondering if it’s possible to integrate the kraken amp pedal and copper pre amp pedal into a boss gx 100 to make use of the effects in the unit? The boss effects are great and having all three units working together would be sick. If anyone could help with the signal chain that would be appreciated! Cheers :)
Hi Steven, we think this should be ok, we haven't used the V4 amp with this specific unit but we have tried it with similar multi effects units. If you were using the GX100's time based effects best to place it in the V4 amp loop after the V4 preamp pedal, when this is bypassed the GX100's effects will still be audible when engaged. Thanks Victory.
@@VictoryAmps thinking of pulling the trigger on the updated Kraken Amp pedal. Is there a significant difference in tone vs the original version? Thanks!
@@stevenlobo2828 The basic tone is the same, the updated versions have the VRC tech which adds a more valve feel to the power section. This is more of player feel thing. Thanks Victory
Thank You for being almost the only people to show us beginners how to hook up to the various other gear such as your computer Thank You!!

Nick - killer video and my V4 Kraken just arrived today and I'm blown away with the tone and options!!
Finally!!
The first video that really answer all the question how to connect this pedalamp.
Thank you thank you!

is true but your not going to have the VRC from the new ones

Congrats on your impending new amp! I'm sure through your speakers it will sound ace!

I'm sold on the pedal. I just want to know the name of that gorgeous PRS strat at the beginning of the video.
Well done dude. Really helpful
I still miss a small 3 channel amp in your line-up
This guy does the best guitar videos. What a player he is. Very cool amps V.
Can I hook this up to a 70watt 16ohm cabinet?
Sounds killer, can you get a tone like Shawn lane

How can I use the cab sim from the v4 amp live with a 12” cab?

Hi,, just fro the sake of clarity: is the Kraken unable to produce a prstine clean tone with no break-up, just pure clean toone?
If you go way low on gain channel 1 you can get close.
Oh, if I try that 4cable method with copper pre, and playing clean tone of copper, could I be using cab sim of kraken v4 at that moment?
Yes the Cab Sim on the V4 amp will be in use with the Copper's sound coming through.
@@VictoryAmps Cool! Then what if I use another preamp pedals instead of Copper? Like Two Notes Le Clean, Orange Guitar Butler, or any pedals that can be connected as 4CM. Would it be still switchable?
Love mine, now after the copper
Hello just a question...can you plug this in to a 1x12 cab with a 60 watt v30? Or it can only go with a 2x12?
It can be used with a 1x12 cabinet, just depends on the Ohms, if it's a 16 Ohm cab it will be fine.

The headphone out is really not good! But it is a great amp
Can youz play da blues with it
It will stop working if you play blues pentatonic.
Seems like such a misstep to not have a dedicated clean channel on this amp.
Bluguitar amp 1. That is all
