I bought the v4 jack for myself courtesy of my tax return and I built a little board a bit like yours to have a portable rig. I love the 9v outlet! Anyway, the amp is great. Victory is killing it right now just like you guys.
Demeter Amplification was the first to use this technology and has been making a pedalboard amp since 2013 using the clean preamp of their well known Tga-3 amp. Pretty cool to see many other companies catching up and starting to come out with their own take.
I’d love love LOVE for y’all to do a pedalboard for *each* of Victory’s V4 series. Make a mini-series of it. It would be so cool especially since their recent releases.
Amp on your pedal board (some powered, some not) is the trend. Kemper, Line 6 and Strymon Iridium.....and now Victory. Like the option of a send/return loop. If you just play at home buy the combo amp....if you travel (gig, jam for fun, band, worship group) then this is the way to go.
And great options for the power amp now, like the Seymour Duncan Powerstage and Orange Pedal Baby. Personally I just have one 'powered' amp head, and run various other pre-amp pedals (like the Victory Kraken pedal) into the effects loop if I want to push it through a speaker cabinet.
Neodymium magnet speakers are fantastic - especially combined with the great dynamic of a class D amp. And saving between 1-2 kg magnet weight (since Neodymium has a much higher flux - only comparable with Alnico) is a nice add-on. I like the punchy sound of this combination.
I generally like Andertons videos, and find they usually seem pretty fair about gear. I'd still want to see a head to head with the regular V40 duchess. VERY curious about that. Now, this does speak to me, but I have to wonder: if it's actually meant to be on your pedal board, that implies you're going to use a very long speaker cable on stage, right (well at least 4 or 5m)? Is that preferable to having a long instrument cable?
Sounds great, I don't understand who it's for. If you want just a pedalboard to DI, you have pedals for that. If you want a pedalboard to a combo amp (minimalistic solution) - you have tube combos and pedalboards that can contain drives or preamp pedals. Why would I want an amp in a pedal? If I have to carry a cab with me, I'd rather get a pedalboard and a tube combo.
Weight I think is the main thing. If you want this type of sound in a tiny package- you can pair with with a lightweight cab and produce mega volume, instead of lugging around a 50lb combo.
Somehow positive grid didn't send out any of their amps to serious reviewers. They prefer dubious "influencers" instead. That alone tells me not to buy it.

Really interesting that they chose not to build in a digital IR cab sim. The new Revv with the built-in Two-Notes Torpedo is very attractive but you do wonder how long it will be before the next generation of digital IR makes that obsolete.
