My fave is the Tele section - through the 4x12 with a little bit of light gain sounded GREAT!! Your playing is on fire!! Penguin section was a close second too....
I'm glad they're coming out with products like this. This is a rig I could carry in my car and up staircases. I'm getting too old to haul Marshalls every where I go.

Class AB power section so it's going to sound and feel more like a tube amp when you break it up. Debuted at NAMM This year. I love the sound of this pedal but it feels a little Boujee (Made for people with money).

@@juliansedor7101 There is a video by CSGuitars on how different Class Power works with amplification. It has to do with the power going out. Class D uses power that alternates it's current, so the effect is different from a Class A or Class AB which is more direct (albeit with more power loss). CSGuitars does a muuuuch better job at explaining it than I do. There is also an audible and feel difference. Hard to explain without being in a room ya know?

I own a Kraken preamp from Victory, which I love, and I would be very interested to hear how these two products in compination would sound. Then at the end of the video, you said that in the future we will see a Kraken version of this...so I can't be more happy with that in mind. Cheers !!!

I've have been telling all my turing friends that the days of heavy rigs and full stacks are over. I even think the days of all valve amps are going the way of the Buffalo. It's all becasue of these awsome preamp pedals. The peadal baby, bass butler, this device, helix go/lt, and so much more that are changing the game. It's really awsome to not break your back loading gear and break it down all in one trip.

It was the first fully professional light weight, compact guitar amp on world guitar scene. Would be interesting to see a comparison of the Taurus Stomp Head with compact amplifiers from other brands (Victoria, Blug, Hughes & Kettner...)
As soon as the revival drive came out it was ON. Tele neck light to medium gain is definitely one of my my main tones. Sounded killer with the LP too. Really good demonstration of how I would use this amp in a box. My bassist just got a bass simplifier - I think this would be my equivalent, especially with the new version having the built-in two notes.
I own the V4 The Kraken, it's my main sound for metal obviously and for "gainy/pushed a touch" cleans and whoaa! This new series of V4 is so compact and portable! Im so impressed this little box of joy can pull out those beautiful sounds and features and bloddy hell the wattage man!!!

Yes, in front of a number of amps actually haha i usually loop my pedalboard and use the amps as "power slaves" (love to call'em that lol) but i've also tried it into the clean channels and sounds bröötall. I slave my Laney 60 watt head usually in rehearsals through the loop out a 2x12 V30 cab (dream metal sound right there) but i PA my board at home (cab sim --> mooer radar = 5150esque 2x12 iR i downloaded for free through the pedals own 6L6 or el34 sims). Ive tried both loop and clean-in methods with a boss katana, one of those fender hotroad amps, a bugera el34 loaded 120w amp, even a Vox 1x12 amp that was old as a fossil! ... bröötal sounds all the way!
180 watts , FX loop and it's only what 3-4 lbs. all SSL or is there a tube in there? Perfect as 2nd to power your latter fx but unfortunately "joined the Dark side" this week. Power of Reylos ( only 2 ClaptonIsGod crowd ) just too strong. Vai's setup is ideal although $$$. Should talk to V about doing a rack Separate power amp unit. Then all the Pre's would have someplace to naturally "fit". Yeah you can accomplish it on a PB, just like the idea of one self contained "crate" so to speak.
You stated at around 3:05 in the video that a speaker load is not necessary when using this. My question is if this is used with the Two Notes C.A.B. M, then is a loadbox (or speaker cabinet) needed as with other amp heads?
Benton Cox not if your using the balanced line out, a load box is only needed if you are using the speaker out, victory designed the line out section of this amp so you can use it with your favourite ir loader/speaker sim
Nice addition to the line but I always feel amps like this, including the Milkman offering, tend to sound fairly sterile on cleaner tones. Might just be how they come across but the compromise here seems possibly more so than some similar sized digital options - and I'm firmly in the non digital amp camp.
I've got a Quilter Micropro Mach 2...200 watts class d with a neo speaker...1x12 combo...(it's a small enclosure and a bit beamy unlike an open back cab) .in a 6 peice band never had it up past 5...

So torn on this and the Milkman.. This one seems to get closer to fender tones easily.. whereas the milkman sounds like i need to add an EQ to get the tone I want (Less Low end more mids)
Rabea Massaad would love to hear your opinion on Victory V4 Duchess vs Hx Stomp, i'm more inclined to go Hx Stomp at the moment as i've heard a great amount of demos but i'm afraid it'll feel just like playing through a plugin, i use IR's and Two Notes Wall Of Sound emulations and i'm looking to a good pedalboard sized amp to travel with. My only complaint about the Victory v4 is that i can't find a lot of reviews at the moment, and it's in fact a one sound amp, but hey, sounds magnificent! Thanks man you're awesome!

Great playing as usual Rabea. A question on the recording chain. From the ox to your universal audio interface, do you use any Unison plug-ins on Consol?
The Revival drive sort of steals the show. It will almost make any amp sound better. I run mine into a cheap quilter and the round is almost indistinguishable from a cranked vintage fender. In fact I’ve run this rig side by side in the studio with a cranked 68 bassman. Even the recording engineer couldn’t tell the difference. Then I run the revival drive into an old fender. There is no better sound on the planet! It’s such a brilliant pedal. No slight on the Duchess but I’d spend my money on the revival drive first. The duchess is really expensive in the US. Makes the $500 revival drive really seem like a deal.
I think Victory's about to give me some buyer's remorse... I LOVE my V4 Kraken pedal, but no onboard reverb/fx, no 9v out, no dedicated cab out, no special-made 2x12 cab. Will we see an upgraded version someday? That said, the one feature I do wish it had: a power switch!!! (I'll probably mod mine to add one like I have other units)
2:45 onwards basically says that this amp is the first of a new line for the v4 pedals so one would assume the rest of them will eventually get this treatment!
As great as this is, I'm a little disappointed that there isn't a version with just the preamp - I would love to add a duchess clean to my Kraken head. This will no doubt almost double the price of the other V4 preamps. Sounds great though!

Love my Kraken V4, it is my go to source for medium to high gain sounds. Nothing else really does it for me anymore, in that regard. I appreciate that the duchess is a self contained amp, that is pretty sick. I wonder...it has an FX Loop...can you use the Kraken V4 as a preamp pedal for the Duchess V4? XD
You could put any line-level signal in that effects loop, but there's no point to it unless you want to put the kraken between the preamp and power amp of the duchess
@@kentfranklin736 That is kind of what I was suggesting. If you put the Kraken V4 in as a preamp using the four cable method, you would essentially be adding two channels of killer med/high gain to the Duchess, which seems to have clean and low gain thoroughly covered.

In my experience, 140 Solid State Watts are like about 40 Valve watts. Usually loud enough. I want to see a little V4 Copper. :)

In addition to the normal uses could you plug a helix into the fx return and then to a cab, using the pedal to power the helix to the cab.
