Wow that is a nice sander! I was considering purchasing this sander because it is reasonably priced compared to other ones! I am currently working on scraping and sanding 93 year old paint off of my house. The paint is thick and stubborn. I decided I’d get something more efficient. I’m glad you posted a good review of this tool so I could truly see it in action, in real time. Great tips for operation as well! Great video!!!!
Thanks Patrick. Practice with it first in an area not readily seen.....it takes a light touch because it can be very aggressive even with finer grits. Thanks for watching and commenting!! Good luck!!
@@PopsCustomSignsLLC Thanks!!!!!! I will definitely take your advice! My house has cedar shake siding. Cedar is known to be a soft wood so I will definitely be careful.
I agree with the dust collector.....except I found it hard to properly use this sander with the hose attached. But it is a BEAST of a machine. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy New Year!
You really sold me on this one over a cheap belt sander. I was gonna get a cheap belt sander to get through some jobs, but I could see from miles they were not very durable, this one however does look solid and almost the same price.
It is a beast and will remove lots of material FAST. It takes a light touch so practice on some scrap wood first. You will be glad you bought this one when you get the hang of using it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Keith, my sander arrived with the pad already attached to the sander. If you are talking about the sanding discs, they need to be the style that attaches with velcro. Thanks for watching.
Yep! Close enough is good enough......if I wanted it perfectly flat I would have to pull out my hand planes. This board is now too wide for my DeWalt 733 planer. Thanks again for watching and commenting.
My favorite were the ShopSmith brand.....but Lowe's quit carrying them in my local store. I have some left for now. Diablo are OK. The Gator brand.....nope, never again.
@@marlabusby1574 I like the ShopSmith brand....they lasted for me. I see I can order them from Lowe's and get free shipping to my local store. I will go that route soon......I'm getting low on some grits.
So basically you hold this sander not flat, but rather as a grinder, at angle. However, DeWalt manual does not say about using this sander at angle. And I wathced another RUclips video where a guy use it flat without any problem. I will try both ways, but something tells me that DeWalt manual may be correct.
If you hold it flat to the surface....have a very firm grip. It may have looked flat, but I promise it is ever so slightly elevated. I don't know anyone who has successfully sanded with it flat down. Good luck.

Dust extractor is very efficient on these when equipped..
Underrated tool, but takes a little practice to use.

Sorry Jason....it really is a good one. Thanks for watching.
What grit number are you using in that video?
I believe that was 80 grit....but could have been 120. Thanks for watching and commenting.
He said “80” in video
