This should run really good. Good choices on the build . 3 things the 307 needed.
    Carb, cam & heads.

Finally somebody knows how to do exhaust, Beautiful job My dad still has his 84 Monte Carlo SS And he brought the 3 and a 1/2 or the 3 inch whatever it was I forget, But I'll tell you he didn't run turnouts he brought him out sucked up behind the back tire just like the 65 Chavez you could barely see it it looks so good you had to really like the blind Eye You know what I mean cause look how you did your exhaust sweet ride awesome build I love it

      @@samrothstein9716 ,
      The small block 307 is a 283 block with a 327 crank
      The DZ302 is a 327 block and a 283 crank
I have all these cranks and all these blocks
      283 , 307 , 327 , 350 from the early 60s to 1969 and I have been building small block Chevy engines for the last 40 years

He is right it's not a 283 w a 327 crank it's a bigger bore than say a 305 w a short stroke which makes it a good candidate for a build. Over a 305 in my opinion and I've seen some run pretty quickly but like any smaller cu inch motor the low end stump pulling torque leaves a lot to be desired that's why they stopped making the 327 was because it was more cost effective and it had more low end grunt to just make the 350 to take it's place along w alll the small journal motors went by the way side the 350 and the 305 were the two that prevailed the 400 was the truck and big car stump puller never designed to be a performance motor 250 HP but 375 ft lbs torque that's what you feel driving around HP is up in the high rpms it takes over the 305 was simply idiot proof that's why they kept it going and it had enough torque to make you feel like a V8 should but go fast not going to happen spin the tire off hell yeah so a lot of fun ihad 20 of them over the years run great also the olds 260 and 307 idiot proof won't swallow enough air to over rev and blow up the heads are too restrictive

Wish they still made the 305 and 307. Indestructible run forever motors if maintained.
