- Genesis GV60 Remote Smart Parking Assist(RSPA) is the official name - ask me how I found the name - testing out the remote parking system on Genesis GV60 real world!
The best I did thus far is using the feature inside the car, still having that last drop of doubt in mind with foot on the brake pedal. However, this time, I leave it up to Genesis to fully park itself at the risk of damaging my Veloster N as well as the test driver GV60.

This was a very informative video! I had no idea that using the key for RSPA would actually steer the car and allowing to perpendicular park. I knew the car was capable however
+ if you left the car with the steering wheel turned and ask the car to pull out remotely, the car will straighten the steer on its own! 🚀

Plus the overall aesthetic or design approach, a decade ago such looks were only reserved for show car Concept or prototypes. Currently Korean cars are the only ones being bold in this approach.
Yup right now Tesla and this one are my favorite electric cars.
Now i figured by NOW we'd have flying cars but THIS is a cool close second lol. What a blessing to be able to live to see such innovation. Getting old and living healthy is such a blessing. To my young people, live long and prosper. Be happy and live healthy. You are important and needed ❤️

At first, i really skeptical about this, but wow, that GV60 really can park itself, even if it has to back and forth to be fit on the parking spot. For the next, it has to be able to park in one try only (not allow back-and-forth), otherwise it won't pass the parking test by Indonesian Authority 😂

It was literally perfect. I do find the UX to tee the vehicle up in the right mode to park it rather confusing though.
The results are a bit different with every attempt indeed.

I love how the gv60 has a feature where you unlock it with your face kind of like Face ID of the latest iPhones 📱
I'd use that feature 24/7 if I actually did own GV60. I even open/close my Veloster with the phone quite a lot :P

If you can't reverse into a parking slot, hand in your license and get a bus

It's rigged, you're crazy, you're unconscious, you have very good insurance, you're very lucky, you have blind faith in the Genesis automatic parking system... or a little of all that in same time! 🙂 In any case, thank you for the very convincing demonstration!
All is true except for the rigged part 😎 To be honest, it does not always park perfect, so this was my second attempt (I actually did look on the first attempt, which is the first few seconds of this video), but it never crashed among a number of times I've used the technology. It sure will take time, but it can be trusted.

I believe so. Specs may differ from a country to another.

Great video! Is this feature only available in the GV60, or is it also available on the top spec Ionic 5 and EV-6? Is this feature different than the forward and back buttons on those cars’ key fobs?
All available on the cars you've mentioned :) You can only enable this feature inside the car before letting yourself out. Controlling isn't much different from the feature you've mentioned.
Thanks. So those other cars could park themselves into a tight space like you did with the GV60? I’m just asking because I thought the Ionic 5 and EV-6 could only inch forward and backward a little, not perform a complex maneuver like the one you did with the GV60.

OK, but you could have parked it yourself in less than half the time. With my GV80, I’ve found this feature to be useless where I need it the most: in Manhattan on busy streets where street side parking is challenging, the GV80 rarely detects a space where I can park on my own, and when it does it’s so slow that it annoys the traffic waiting behind me.
True. This tech seems suitable when you have a tight parking space and a pillar blocking your door, etc. One more thing, this tech seems more fitting to EVs given nature; the car itself moves much more smoother than ICE.
This is not meant for lazy parking, it's really meant for tight spaces and especially if you also have to get things from the trunk or back seat when you get out the car. It's not useless if it can have real world use case.
Once you park where everyone else has failed due to tight space, no chance of leaving the car after parking, etc., I think you can do nothing but praise this tech :P

No for the first question, yes for the second. The car actually parks differently every time.

Gotta squeeze yourself in and out. There are lots of tight parking spaces like this one in Korea 🥲 And I know Korea is not the only country in the world with this problem.
