Exactly I'm mad at that.
Now he’s officially a hall of famer and well deserved.🦅🦅🦅
He's the Most Feared player in Madden.
+jacob Estrada he's not even in Madden

+That one dude it was joke about his height

+That one dude If you played Madden, you would know what he was referring to, but instead you look like an idiot.
I wonder if he texted Nick Foles breathe before the Superbowl lol
Hopefully

Aries Anderson that’s not a lot compared to today

Did this 6'8" WR just hurdle somebody?!
Yea, in fact it was one of the first hurdles of all time and the refs didn't know what to do so they threw a flag and called unsportsmanlike conduct XD
Lol seriously @@flamingdagger7751
Never played football, huh? I'm 6'9. Those little cornerbacks, you leave the ground, will wrap you up, drive you into the ground and break bones. You come across the middle and reach up for a high pass? You just lost your ribs. And we haven't even talked about knees. Those boys don't play nice. Be serious. Big men, big targets.
@@earldeanpowell who hurt you
Is u blind it was on this video 😂
yo this card on Madden would be Over powered 😂
matthew pickelmancx yeah 😂
matthew pickelmancx A 99 Overall

I'd change my offensive scheme to Four Verts, and Hail Mary.
+droidtrooper100 OP

Same with Manute Bol in the NBA
+Mariusz Pawlukowiec dumb?
+Mariusz Pawlukowiec check out a kid called fall
he's like a young manute bol
+abdikadir hashi you mean taco? he's a cheat code
He did get hurt
How often can the NFL get it wrong? I'm a Cowboy fan, even I know this guy is a HOF'er. I watched this guy play. His size and pass catching ability would've made him successful in any generation of football. He helped the game evolve to what it is today.
Thank you
I think you probably hit the nail on the head here for all the old comments I saw of ppl arguing against this guy being a HOFer he didn’t have HOF numbers. The ultimate retort is he changed the game. That alone should qualify you
I don’t think the hall is reserved only for great players ***who also had lengthy careers, happen to play on great teams, and had many of their best moments immortalized by nfl films. I think it’s possible to get in with out those additional caveats
Although I dislike the Eagles, I have a lot of respect for this guy and Dick Vermeil.
+ROBERT GLENN TRUJILLO MetallicA, MetallicA, MetallicA. ..
I knew who he was, but I never knew he was that good.
Nice piece.
Glad hes finally got into the Hall
This is why you can't compare the stats of players from different eras. Carmichael probably would've made 100 receptions every season in today's NFL. However, we look at the numbers he actually put up and think, "well, he wasn't that good."
Michael Leibowitz today’s players are bigger, stronger, and faster. Today, there are some players that are a foot shorter than him that weigh more and are faster
*_Chunky Ragu_* yes but at the time, it still wasn’t that big for the quarterbacks to throw that ball. His stats would be a lot more different if he played in the 80’s or other decades after, his stats would be better if it wasn’t for the 70’s
I think it would be a good idea to look at a usage percentage for player. Like you look at what percent of passes were targeted at him
@@theleftuprightatsoldierfield That's called modern steroids and better equipment ie: Shoes, Track...
They had one of the fastest players today run on the same shoes, on a similar type track that Jesse Owens ran on and he was slower than Jesse Owens.
@@theleftuprightatsoldierfield not necessarily true at all. There's freak athletes in every era.
He was created by that guy who makes his player so tall and stacked in Connected Franchise 😂
Do you not make 7'0" 400lb WRs with 99 speed?
+droidtrooper100 I make 7'0 160lb WRs with 99 speed :p.
i made a 7'0 256lb tight end with 95 speed
+BRO-RITTO 7ft TE that's only 256? should be like 270
wanted to make him lighter
And now... he’s officially a Hall Of Famer. Well Deserved 👏🏼
And now, Harold _is_ a Hall of Famer!
5:20 A Philly legend speaking to a future Philly legend. Funny how that played out.
Welcome to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Harold Carmichael!
He’s in the hof as of 2020 now. So happy 4 him
Lmao didn't expect him to say trash!
Calvin Johnson before Calvin Johnson
+fl33tbrand sort of like calvin Johnson he was taller than megatron but a hell of a lot skinnier megatron is 235 Carmichael was only 220
+Brandon Browner thts only a 15 pound difference.
+trenton riggins-walker but like half a foot taller lol (dont know magatrons height, about 6'3?)
+Bazukah187 he's listed at 6-5 I believe
Bazukah187 Where did you get 6'3 from?
Great story, thanks for sharing Mr. Carmichael's life.
This comment was so...so.. normal
Caden Breaux wtf is wrong with that? You do know that that's how youtube used to be, and pretty much the Internet used to be
When wideouts didn't need gloves
+Chuckfan 47 Back in the day they used something called stick 'em to make it easy to catch which wasn't outlawed in the league yet
+Starky *stickum
+Wealthy Pepsi , lie. Some guys said they had used stickum (rice, bletnikoff). Now everybody has a glove.
+Chuckfan 47 Because their hands were slathered in layers of gluey stickum. Especially guys like Cliff Branch and Lester Hayes.
gloves should be banned
Megatron try fuking galvatron
MaxGotUrGirl InDaCut w
1:02 FABULOUSSSS
he was a glitch in the madden
+aj galotto old maddens bro
He's probably some 8 year old who's first madden was Madden 15
+Josh24 Yeah Probably
He retired 5 years before the first Madden game
+aj galotto are all of you idiot? Do you not play MUT? Madden Online? Where you can build ur own team. They can pit him in the game as a legend. Smh yall must have never played online
Imagine if taco fall played wide receiver
lol his knees would be shredded
The matchups vs 5'9" Pat Fischer were always the best to see back then.." The Oak vs The Acorn"
that's cool man nice little analogy haha
nice match up but lol
Carmichael and Cliff Branch need to go in the HOF.
CONGRATS ON MAKING IT TO THE HALL!!!!!! GO BIRDS 🦅🖤🦅
those white with green wings helmets are pretty awesome not gonna lie
Naw their ugly
Honestly if they made a throwback helmet that would be sick
@@treylorinza6719 no. The current uniforms are starting to look bland and boring and old now. I want change in the uniforms.
So glad he’s finally in the Hall, very deserving as one of the greats in his era

The NFL finally got it right and Harold Carmichael is in the Hall of Fame!
Congrats to Harold on going into the Hall of Fame!
Just made the HOF fame today, good for him
I'm a Cowboy fan. Of course we have to respect Bednarik. Went to Hardin-Simmons, down Ambler from ACU, so Wilbur got my affection, and at 6'9", I loved HC. Put his rear end in the HoF!!!
I grew up watching him as a lifelong eagles fan. Hands down HOF and not many as classy and humble. True gentlemen on and off the field.
His team finally got that trophy
Man was a beast congrats on making it to HOF
It is an interesting thing to think about how many people applauded Foles’ mental stability in the Super Bowl and the playoffs and realize it all ties back to Harold Carmichael constantly reminding him to breath. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.
My favorite Eagle ever. He has always personified grace and dignity.
I'm a steeler fan and i use to love to watch him play
Unbelievable catches and he could move. Had great hands.
He made it to the class of 2020 hall of fame congratulations man
i lost it it that trophy lmao
Me too haha
+Fuck You Mean dude prolly white
Still shorter than him lol
He's in the HOF now!!!!! That changed today!!!
Jaworski, Carmichael and Wilbert. Those were the days!
Harold Carmichael is a big part of why I am an EAGLES fan today.
He should've been in the HOF
Buy or Sell?
+Theing Soe he is in the HOF...
+Donovan Louis No he isn't
+Donovan Louis He isn't in the Hall of Fame.
he should have, just bc his records were broken shouldnt take away from his work he did for.the organization
+Theing Soe buy cause it aint his fault the qbs wasn't slinging the ball like that in the 70's..nearly 9k yards and 79 tds send him in..has more yards and tds than bob hayes(rip).. let him in...
Awesome guy. I had never heard of Carmichael. Really speaks well of the Eagles organization for them to treat players and past players this well.
Used to love watching Harold battle with Pat Fischer of the Redskins , dude was only 5-7 but gave Carmichael some great battles
Just inducted into HOF! Congrats Harold! GO BIRDS!!!
Thank You Harold Carmichael and Nick Foles. That is All 💚💚💚🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏁🏈🏉
Yo those white helmets are so sick
What an amazing player and person in general! Harold Carmichael will always be one of the greatest players the Eagles ever had in my book!
respect the NFL legends that came before us
Imagine him in Madden with aggressive catch O.o
imagine if someone gave a fuck
Brad Lamb dayummmm
he's like the first Calvin Johnson
Not a Philly fan, but I admired his play. Great WR
LOLL he looks so much fun to tackle. It'd be like tacking a monster and then saying "Ha.. Yea I took down someone twice my size"
Finally getting the recognition he deserves. 💯 🦅🦅🦅
I think he should be a HOF'er... stats may not be there Like receivers today, but he's like Mike Vick. Both Vick and Carmichael don't have daunting jump off the page stats. Both players are game changers. Vick was the leader of the new DT QB. (Dual Threat Qb) Carmichael showed how dominant size can be for a receiver. Look at Megatron and the career he had at 6'6". Then Brandon Marshal and Mike Evans each about 6'5" a piece. I think certain players should go to the HOF because of their impact and how they change the game, not always because of stats and rings.
That is the thing though, when he retired he DID have jump off the page stats. Don't let the modern age of the inflated passing game take away what he did. He does belong in the Hall of Fame. I actually had a friend of mine who doesn't follow football as much as I do ask me why I thought Joe Montana was so great since he looked up his stats and saw he "only" threw for 40,000 career yards. These days mediocre QB's like Philip Rivers are gonna hit 60,000 by the time their careers are over.
@@boletus2001 truth!
im not an eagles fan but this is a great story. seems to be an awesome guy.. God bless him..
Put this man in the Hall of Fame.
You can always feel that NFL Films did something good when it ends with a smile on your face ! :)
He should be the next most feared master next madden season. FACTS
he should get a MUT card
cold mist he does he was on the most feared
Madden 18 got him as a legend
Thank you for sharing that. What a graceful, strong, gentle giant. If I had to live in a city again, Philly would be my number one choice.
so very many fabulous memories watching harold play!
then as now.....class act, all the way!!!
who agrees they should make a movie about this guy?
he deserves hall of fame
I remember seeing him as a young teen at the Vet...We used to sneak in all the time...I remember seeing him on one knee on the side line and all the support staff were shorter them him...He had great hands and made some real tough grabs...Nice to see him getting props...Nice to see how well NFL films has done for itself too...I've been watching you guys since the Facenda Days...That's when football was beautiful...J. Facenda and nfl films, put football on the map.
That's true happiness, where he's at and what he's done.
really? petition for him to be in the HOF, please.
1. How is he not in the HOF
2. Does anyone know if he is still involved with the eagles
Great man with a great story. God bless him.
Great work NFL Films. I remember getting excited when I saw you logo as a kid 25 years ago. I ready to hear those trombones & o-linemen blocking for RB’s.
who else likes the narrators voice? I LOVE IT
Another guy that the HOF has totally disregarded & ignored along with Randy Gradishar, Ken Anderson, Cliff Harris, Cliff Branch, Donnie Shell, Ken Riley, Drew Pearson ..... at 6'8", Harold Carmichael was virtually unstoppable !!!!! I might've grown up a Cowboy fan (HATE THEM NOW !!!!!!!) but there's no question Harold Carmichael is a HOFer !!!!! Should've been inducted a long time ago .....
I'm in Canada and I started following the NFL in 1979 when Harold was part of awesome Eagles team. I was a backup receiver on the Senior football team in high school. My teammates and I would often talk about players in either the CFL and NFL we would like model ourselves after. They laughed when I revealed my choice0 as Harold Carmichael because everyone knew about his height advantage while I stood at 5 Ft-6 IN! Great story here. Thanks for posting.
Real dope legacy he has
IMAGINE IF HE PLAYED TODAY.
Jesus Zamora OP mosses everyone
He would probably be a. Good tight end if he tried to bulk up
Jesus Zamora would get killed
#CarmichaelForHOF
Oh man i loved watching him when i was a kid...hes a class act and one hell of a player!!!
What a nice video for a really kind and humble guy.
wow he was skinny as fuck being only 219 pounds at 6"8 o_O there are 5"8 running backs heavier than him.
ikr
They didn't have the technology that we have today back in the 70s
+BAE State what technology?
+yoshigotgun w
yoshigotgun no football player would eat Big Macs to get big. That just makes them fat, not muscular.
I can relate. I'm 18, 6"7, 270lb. Being very tall is awesome and all. But, most tall people don't have that stamina for sports.
you should play DE or Tackle
Bruh I’m 6’7 255 I’m a freshman lol
I had never even heard of this guy. Thanks NFL Films for allowing me to learn about this interesting player.
13 years with one team.
Back when NFL clubs treated their players right.
He looks like he's like 6'5-6'6
Jackson Salyer Behr your lunching
...of course now he is, many people I know over 65 have lost some inches! He was 6'8
Jackson Salyer Behr He probably shrunk some since he's old now
Some of those people he's standing next to are tall too. Nick Foles, for example, is 6'6.
He’s 6’8. I’m 6’7 and he looks a little taller than me.
Imagine Lebron James playing WR.
Tight end
WR
TheFalloutShot96 WR he's to fast for tight end
Y’all know he played wr in high school mans was 6’4 200 in sophomore year
BeastMode90 there's no such thing as too fast for any position
Loved watching this man we a kid...get him in the hall of fame!
I’m from Camden County and all South Jersey loves you !!!
That's the old school Gronk!!!!
I'd like to see him take a full-brunt impact from Polamalu. His limbs would be flailing. Unfortunately, 6'6 is about the ceiling for a modern WR.
One handed catches barehanded is nuts, that dude had some claws
Grew up watching him. Great player; much respect!
