Ravens fans are so lucky to be able to watch a dominant team like this. They have a QB that can extend plays but rarely is even pressured bc the line play has been amazing.. backed up by a smothering defense that just vice grips every offense they play. Most well rounded team in a while.
The O-line gives up sacks -- sometimes, too many. One is enough. They're far from perfect -- but they do good in stages. So far, Lamar hasn't been injured because of bad blocking.

The way the Ravens adjusted to the Texans game plan in the 2nd half was amazing, offense & defense ballin out signs of a championship team.
It was kind of a back and forwards. Demeco adjusted quickly and then the Ravens adjusted at half time. It was cool to watch
Yeah we do that all the time, if you watch the Jaguars game from last season. Oline couldn't protect lamar then in the 2nd half we ran for over 200 yards. Same with this game yesterday.

I’ve been a ravens fan since 1996 (when I was 6 years old) and this is among the most complete and dominant ravens rosters ever assembled. They look better than both the teams that won Super Bowls.
I too have been a Ravens fan since the team started. But let's not get it twisted. That 2000 D was light years more dominant than this one, even though this one is good. And that 2012 offense had guys like Dennis Pitta, Ray Rice, Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith. Flacco went on a historic 11 TD, 0 INT playoff run, and the team in general played its heart out, both for Art Model, and most especially inspired by it being Ray's last ride. They wanted to get Ray another ring, and they got him one.
I get being psyched for this team. But let's not punch that "Festivus" ticket before we even get it. And while this team certainly looks good, no, I wouldn't say they look BETTER than either SB team.

I knew nothing about football, but my husband is a Chiefs Fan so I saw a few games. The first game I saw from the Ravens, they lost and could'nt go further, but I immediately fell in love with this team. Now, in my first full season, they are in the playoffs. Awesome!

Some Chiefs fans comparing Buffalo to Baltimore are in for a surprise. The Ravens are more physical, have a much stiffer D, especially in the red zone, and their offense throttled some very good teams this year (Det, SF, Jax, Mia, etc.). I think Lamar is the best QB this season. I don’t care much about the stats suggesting otherwise. When I watch his film, he is just on a completely different level than everyone else playing the game. He never looks like he’s ever stressed out.

It's amazing how Ravens' defense is consistently good since the Ray Lewis days. How is it even possible with different DCs and players?? Just wow!
The culture was established early. Build from the trenches. The Ravens drafted a DT the draft a record 20 consecutive seasons.
They have great player development. They are good at finding supreme talent at positions that other teams don’t value as much ILB, DT, S.
The Ravens also have a type of player that they draft for the scheme they run.
All of the hires are usually guys who are hired from within. The scheme may change with DC but philosophy remains the same.
The OC now started off as a position coach with the Ravens before becoming DC at Michigan when the Ravens moved on from Wink Martindale. They also have a large defensive coaching staff. They have a few young position coaches who will be DC’s and HC as well.

The stadium's reputation as a crowd noise nightmare for opponents is on the rise. This was the highest ratio ravens to Texans fans I’ve ever seen in my life, I saw maybe 10 Texans fans in the entire time I was there. We caused so many false starts & completely disrupted the Texans offense with our noise. M&T BANK is quickly becoming one of the most difficult stadiums to play in due to crowd noise.
Imagine how loud it’s gonna be next week…
