HEMA is everything. HEMA tournament, as a sport historical fencing, is as much HEMA as other streams. (Historical fencing, battle fencing, scenic fencing, HMB, Ringen) The only thing a particular stream changes are the rules and the quality of the fencers/competitors. The rules aren't perfect and the tournament lacks some of the factors of combat, but it's one of the closest forms of full sword use outside of training and practice.
