    I swear you must be part willow tree to twist as much as you do! However, I am old enough to be your grandmother so must work with what I have! 😊 Its wonderful to see how far you can hit and a real pleasure to see what can be done with fitted clubs. I’m not at that level but the experience was very enjoyable to watch.

    I'm glad you enjoyed the fitting experience. I must say your swing is amazing. Parallel at the top and full shoulder turn. When I was in my 20s and 30s I was able to turn like that but not anymore. Enjoy your PXG clubs and keep these videos coming.

    Did my fitting a few weeks ago and loved the experience, first round out this weekend and success! Had a great ball striking experience and had much better approach shots.

      Thats great to hear! I also felt instantly more confident with fitted golf clubs. Also had better approach shots with new irons. :)

    As someone that works in the industry, one thing I would like to point out about getting custom fit: (particularly for newer/beginner golfers) Getting custom fit is often not necessary, and sometimes can even be detrimental for you. The reason I say this is because I often have new golfers come to me and ask if they should get custom fit. If the person has only been playing for a few months, but are taking lessons, their golf swing can change drastically in a short time period, ESPECIALLY IF TAKING LESSONS. I often try to get my customers (depending on the situation) into clubs that at have some room for growth in terms of skill. I.E, The numbers might suggest they need a light flex, but if it's a young athletic person, I try to put them in reg flex so by next season when they are swinging faster they are now in a more appropriate flex. I really only recommend custom fit if your have a consistent swing. Sometimes if your super tall or super short it's not a bad idea, but most golf stores should be able to tell you if need to extend or shorten your clubs without getting a custom fit.
    Just something to think about for beginners thinking about getting a custom fit.

      This ☝️Completely agree!
      Beginners don't need to spend the money for custom clubs. If they want, of course, but kind of a waste of money for most people at the start 😊

    Informative walk through of the fitting. Just wonder if you used your usual game ball for the session since I presume that different balls would have an impact on the results?

    • @GolfwithShan
      @GolfwithShan  2 года назад

      Hi Jim,
      Good question. I actually play a bunch of different balls.. so i don't have one specific ball. At the fitting, they have Titlist Pro Vs in good condition

    Very informative, I think you will really enjoy your new clubs. I purchased a 0211 hybrid. It looks great, feels great and is very easy to swing. When it is time for me to replace my driver pxg will be strong possibility. Thanks for the video.

      I tried the 0211 and they feel really good! I got the same distance from the 0211 and Gen 5, so definitely a good cheaper alternative :)

    I may have missed it in the video - did they shorten your shaft length?

    • @GolfwithShan
      @GolfwithShan  9 месяцев назад

      Only for 3 wood and 5 wood, I got fitted with 1/2 inch shorter from standard men's shaft. 3 wood = 42.5 inches.
      Everyone else is standard length. Driver = 45 inches, 7 iron = 37 inches etc.

    Great video! I just got pxg 0211 with Steelfiber! Love them! TXG is also a great place to get fitted especially if you are in toronto. But they are much busier and hard to get appointment!

    nice video, but i gotta ask.....why didn't you go to a fitting centre (trying to avoid naming competitors) that has a choice of brands of clubs?

    • @GolfwithShan
      @GolfwithShan  Год назад

      For my PXG set, i wanted to try PXG golf clubs specifically. I'd never tried before. They also had a really good promotion going on at the time + free fitting.
      For my boyfriends clubs, he went to StudioX because it was the most convenient for us in terms of location and time.
      There are amazing reviews for StudioX and the other fitting facilities around Toronto. Really depends on what is most convenient :)

    Definitely interested in getting fitted with PXG clubs. This was very fun to watch. I do have a question, how long was the overall experience? You hit a ton of shots and I’m sure you edited out every shot no? Lol, great content!

    • @GolfwithShan
      @GolfwithShan  Год назад +1

      My fitting was 2 hours for a full bag, including irons, woods, driver, wedges, putter. I will say, we spent the most amount of time on irons, and less time on other clubs. After using them for a few months now, I really like them!
      If you can get a free fitting and a discount, I think they're worth it :)
      I did hit a lot of shots and had to cut out some of them (condensing 2 hours into 20 minutes 😊)

    • @Blackcloud319

      @@GolfwithShan roger that, yes from what I could gather they give a huge discount for active military personnel and veterans. I actually called the golf dome I go to all the time and will speak to the PXG rep this Sunday about fittings and pricing. I’m really excited to do the entire process. I enjoyed your video and you earned a new sub from me! I’m new to golf started playing last summer 2021 and am hooked! I’m using Ping Zing 2s from 1995, hand me downs from a buddy of mine🤣

    very interesting, I am wondering why you picked PXG. I myself would never have a bag full of just one brand. I have Taylormade woods, Ping irons, Cleveland wedges and a Ping Anser putter that i got in 1989. I do believe you should be fitted.

    • @SnoopyGolf
      @SnoopyGolf 2 года назад +2

      If i were to guess cost since its cheaper there than txg or modern golf. Golf town is a similar price but their fitting aren’t the best unless u go to studio x. Pxg clubs and fittings at peak performance are also cheaper than if you went to the ping fitters in oakville or the titleist one at angus glen. Cost of clubs at pxg are slightly cheaper as well than the big names.
      Another reason could be location too since shes in the etobicoke toronto area.

    • @GolfwithShan
      @GolfwithShan  2 года назад +1

      Hi Marty, in my next video, I explain the cost and specific clubs I ended up ordering. Stay tuned!
      In short, I chose to get a full bag PXG fitting because 1) they had a promotion going on for full set orders 2) the fitting was free, and 3) the expected turn around for the clubs are FAST (within 2 weeks, unlike other places). Also, I have heard great things about PXG irons and wedges.
      I totally get what you mean though! My current clubs are a mix of various brand, Callaway driver, Adams woods, Taylormade irons, Cleveland wedges etc. Since the fitting was free and there were full bag promotions, figured i'd give it a try. Overall, I believe every brand makes a variety of clubs for different swings, so there is likely a club from every brand that works for me. This was my first time trying PXG and the costs/convenience checked out ⛳
