- In this episode, Gabby flies all the way to California to get a vip club fitting at the Taylormade Kingdom. First she met up with Trottie who is one of the best club fitters ever! She got fit for irons driver, woods and wedges with Trottie and then got a full putter fitting in this really cool putting simulator. Gabby has never really had club fitting like this before, this is her first time and one of the coolest experiences to visit headquarters and get all new clubs!!

In 2 - 3 years, when I am watching you on the LPGA tour, I will remember, I used to watch Gabby2 (Gabby Lopez will always be the 1st Gabby), on this channel, and when you win your first major, I will remmeber this fitting, where you got dialed in, and when you are part of Team TaylorMade, I will just smile. Go, Gabby Girl, Go!! Your future is so bright, you should be wearing shades.

Gabby I am so impressed by your ability to absorb all the new dialog, science, and engineering of club-making. Building my own clubs for 30 years I know it's a massive journey. You will inevitably learn the language. There is a preferred fit and feel for every club in the bag. As your career progresses you will become your own director for fitting. You have the golfing talent and you will ultimately be able to control your own fitting process. No matter how sophisticated graphite shafts become, steel is a fundamentally different material. Steel has a better predictable performance that you can feel. That is why most pros and low-handicap players primarily use steal for irons and graphite for drivers.

Golf has certainly come a long way, the game itself, clubs, materials, instruction and more. I am 71, I remember my father, uncles all played with clubs that were paper thin, it was their own ability on how well they played. They did not have club fitters back then. Great video
I wish I could come and learn the art of club fitting from Trottie and take in his vast amounts of knowledge. Just to be able to pick his brain and get tips and tricks that he's learned over the many years of being a master fitter would be a dream come true. Gabby is gonna be one to watch in the future for sure!

I wanna putt like Gabby. What a cool fitting experience! She “feels” the numbers. Listening to her and Trottie talking was very cool. Having a session like that, I would come out of it feeling like they had made me a better person (not to mention golfer)😊

He has it, but what he is really good about is selling it. You have many great fitters especially Titleist is always step ahead..but Trottie is great guys, knows his stuff, well spoken, makes sense🙌🙌🙌
I was exhausted after the first warm up with the 7 iron. How much she loves the game really comes through

Gaby will become a great champion and it's a joy because she is so enthusiastic, diligent, attentive, and pleasant to watch play. It's rare that such a talented young girl remains so likeable. Many would be distant and show an air of superiority, the complete opposite of Gaby

This is à very interesting video. If you want to learn the technical details about golf clubs, you will benefit by listening to Gabby and Trottie as Trottie does a "fitting" for Gabby golf girl, an excellent young golfer. Watch her video's about golf. An outstanding young female golfer! She is a great player, cheerful, and enteraining. I don't play much, but take delight in following her and learning a lot about the technical details of golf. Gabby is just precious and very entertainíng! Watch one of her video's and you will be hooked.

A day very well spent. Hope this adds upto a few less strokes every round. Putter was most likely the biggest difference 😂 smallest club in the bag that's used the most.
As a Father of 2 girls, I get extremely excited at the success that Gabby has achieved even this early in her life. It makes me hopeful for my 2 girls to eventually get into the game!!
I thought I loved Gabby but as it turns out I love her parents even more, great job mom and dad.
I went for an iron fitting without any brand preference. Tried 3 different iron heads, Cobra, taylormade and titlest. Also Tried graphite and steel shafts. I ended up with titlest t300's amr red steel shaft, 1/2 inch short and 2 degrees upright. Best money I ever spent was on the fitting. Gained distance and accuracy. 5 iron to a 48 degree wedge. Next will be a wedge fitting and maybe hybrid fitting.
The DI is literally 14 years old, and still one of the best shafts on the market. Looked like she had a BB in one of the ones she hated. The BB is a stout.
I know nothing about this girl but I’m a huge fan already! So refreshing to see a girl that’s not constantly giggling and posing with one heel up and hand on the hip! Beautiful golf swing. Knows exactly who she is and not a drop of makeup. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 to her parents

Awesome video Gabby! I knew different golf clubs and the quality of club made a difference. Didn't realize how much customization goes into it. And I don't think he gives out the compliment of great player very easily seeing who he has worked for. And he said it more than once to you. It was a massive compliment and he knows what he sees in you! 👍😎

Nothing on this video surprised me other than her not knowing a few of the things. Really surprised she didn’t know what the loft lie or swing weight measuring devices was. This was really a good learning experience for her. Her golfing instincts on the range and course must be excellent.
She is now learning the science behind what she was already doing instinctively. 👍🏼🇺🇸

I really enjoyed this video. I love detail even though I’m a high handicap player. Unfortunately for most amateurs club fitting is not a detailed one. You’re in and out with a recommendation and a purchase. They are really more interested in making sales rather than helping you! The other thing is I bet your players do this out of season so they can get used to the new feel. They also hid a ton of balls before making a change and to get used to the clubs before the season starts again! A big difference in terms of finding what’s best for you.

This was pretty cool. I like the way Trottie works, listening to the player while still providing his skill set. The putter fitting was just nutty. Crazy what computers can provide in something so physically based. Did Gabby’s bag have a ponytail logo on it? It should. It's great seeing how much technology they put into the process! As an engineer I like that!
As an old golfe,r I cringe at how much people think they can use and rely on the clubs over talent!
It's great to have clubs you can trust.... but they don't swing themselves!
You kept saying that you want distance and height!🤔. Why?
Almost every golfer I've seen wanted more distance!
The mistakes that come into a game by swinging at a high speed are numerous!
The only club in the bag used for distance is the driver... and it has it's limits!
Another thing... you don't like your hybrids... learn to hit them! They are a great tool to use when playing in the wind!
Get all the clubs that you think you can use...then adjust the bag for the course and conditions!
The putter! Just another tool
But work on your stroke... figure it out and understand all the different variables!
I lost my putting stroke, and when I went to fix it I found out that I didn't have one!
So I built one!
Three days plus experimenting with everything I could think of until I found what worked for me! Then lots of repetition until it became smooth and comfortable!
Take the time and figure it out..in the process you will be surprised how much you can learn!
For instance...if you look up trying to follow the ball off the putter.... you will pull the putt!
I had to work on my putting after some time off and I had to adjust at least 8 things to get my stroke back!

This is fascinating for me the weekend golfer as while this would be fun to do, it would also be wasted on me. I will do it for my teenage son though. It also shows what a dedicated golfer you are. I am once again impressed watching you from Australia.

Great watch!!! I'm just so confused! Because I use an old set of spalding tour editions and my buddy has the 790's that I've hit a few times, and they actually launch higher even though the lofts are stronger. So I guess my point is why did he put her in more of a "blade" iron when she wants to hit it higher? Because I always thought "blades" launched lower. Or am I trippin???

Hi Gabby, I just got fitted too and I hit the 770 tremendously well but I wanted a little more distance so I went with the Mizuno 923’s because I’m an older player now 😬. The 7 iron was 170 with TM and 180 with M. FYI I was more consistent with the TM’s though 😊. I just love golf and I really enjoy watching where your career may go! 👍🏼

The Trottie changes will help you, but that putter change you made is going to be massive for your scoring.
I like a midsized grip.
Or a standard over 3 wraps. But that's just me. Thin grips feel surgical but jar my hands a bit if I duff the ball ( a lot)
