Andy, you rock! I retired from the military in 2020 and always wanted to sell cars, but never had a game plan. I went into teaching High school and getting the family homesteaded and never knew how to make the leap to sales until I found you. I have put the feelers out to a couple of dealerships around me and I look to finish out the school year and then light the candle on a new beginning in automotive sales. In the meantime, I am using the time between now and June to gather the tools, invest in training, and be able to hit the ground running. You guys work on your craft day in day out avg customer does no research and maybe does this twice in 10 yrs.....they are screwed tbh I pay cash for new trucks, and contact 30 dealers for best price.....same as you I put effort and time into the process....no way you can go into any negotiation where the person who is unprepared will win.....impossible Next day or week later is too late after you sign....

LOL the one guy asked the question I have. I have worked at 2 different stores and neither allow the Sales staff close on payments. We sell the car and have to negotiate the price then hope and pray that finance does not blow them out.

I worked for a Toyota store about an hour away and it was the same way.....and now i work for a dual brand store that has Chevy GMC Buick and a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram store . Not only do we not talk payment we also do not get paid commision. we work on units as well as get 25% of the finance PVR from our deals. Small town and limited opportunity unless I start over again. Like you information and will try to apply the best I can!

Not a salesman, but I really do like your content. Question. On your cost of ownership close dealing with gas, how do you deal with a customer who says, "You know my monthly insurance will increase at least the same amount as the new car saves me a month, right?" Again, awesome job! I have to wait out this junk to go get my deal, but I watch pretty much all of your videos. (I am going to be at least as well trained as the person I will be dealing with.) Again, I appreciate what you do, the work you are doing and stay safe in this crap.
Sir I understand that this car may increase your immediate insurance premium; in my experience, and depending on your circumstances, that premium is certain to go down; it’s not a solid variable cost of ownership. However, there’s something that won’t go down or vanish quickly and that is the pure excitement of driving this car every morning. V8? V6? Bi turbo diesel, tonnes of torque? It doesn’t matter, you are here today because this is the car you want, and it’s the now the car you have. That is what I call having something to show for it.

New cars have better safety ratings so often the insurance is the same or cheaper despite the value difference.
