      Andy why don't you tell the people how you made that $715,000 selling cars. You did it by lying cheating stealing from the customers stealing from your employer and stealing from the government. You are indicted on federal charges and the only reason you didn't go to prison was because you told on your friends you told on your bosses and you made a deal with the feds. There's absolutely no reason why you should even be in the business

      My 2 cents...
      I would go into overall cost of ownership. I would talk about the yearly cost to maintain a vehicle without warranty.... When they say they haven't put any money into their 65k vehicle I would say "awesome, I'm glad to hear that because I usually get the people that say "they just fixed this or just fixed that." ...Mr Smith, I'm glad we are catching you before something happens. Now, Mr Smith (pause)... it's not that you have a bad car and something is broken (pause)... It's about the 65k miles of moving parts that touch each other and began to weardown and breakdown the material... I'm so glad we are able to speak BEFORE something happens. It's all about being proactive when most people are reactive."
      Now with your new vehicle you'll have protection. You'll have...

    I love watching these videos being new at this and tomorrow is my 1st day out alone not training.
    Im a cheap ass so all the new cost savings compared to old vehicle is what i already knew before i ever seen someone sell a car.
    I came into this comepletely green and have already had a leg up on guys thats been in sales for a year and more.
    Im still learning from the videos but its made my comfidence go way up knowing ive already got a grip on some of this stuff before i even sold anything.

    • @darknature79
      @darknature79 5 месяцев назад

      I knew more about a branded"rebuilt" title than some of the experienced guys to use on devaluing the trade in and another customer complained about a gap where the top of the door meets the jamb and since I painted cars for 20 years I opened the door and fixed that gap in 20 seconds.
      Haven't even sold one on my own yet and already ahead of the game.

    • @darknature79

      Also,being my own mechanic and have done plenty of mechanical work myself I know certain things.
      Like a sqeeking belt,soon as I seen the engine had been cleaned and dressed I told the customer the recent deep clean and tire dressing was absolutely on the belt and it'll stop by time you're done with the test drive and I was correct and we sold the 2015 town and country.

    My car I'd trade it at the end of warranty. Also if this guy was my car guy I'd leave. I know what I wanna pay and I budget gas in already. This probably does work on most people but the 1200 or 2400 is completely a guess and not accurate. Why make somebody stress about a payment. Camrys are nice cars but my top end payment is my top end payment regardless.

    The dealerships have gotten wise to this dilemma and now let the prospective customer either work up the payments instantaneously online or even qualify with a lender online within minutes.
    This helps prevents the payment sword fight later on. If you upsell the customer too much on the payment they could renege on the deal later on. Nowadays , depending on your credit, you can finance out 7 years to squeeze down the monthly payment. Geez....

    Plus every honda v6 ever made has a timing belt that has a 7 year 100k service interval. Which the owners can expect to pay 1kplus every 7 years or 100k. Toyota changed to a timing chain a few years ago. Honda still makes these 3.5L in the pilots and Odyssey. Great running around 30mpg when the engine was in the accord. Even without cylinder deactivation. Iove the feeling of the v6s power band. Super fun in a coupe car or truck

    Hey Andy,
    When using ownership vs purchase price, I think it would be best not discuss the budget before hand. Would you agree? Otherwise, it might seem a little awkward when we sit down with the customer and present a monthly payment that's twice his budget. Thoughts?
    Also, do you think we could add that these repair costs may be 20% higher because you may have to put the repair cost on a credit card, as vehicles always seem to break down at the most inopportune time? Plus we are not considering the inconvenience of you not having your vehicle or access to a courtesy vehicle?
    Awesome video as always btw

    What is your answer when after the trade walk and you're on paper they say they'll have the vehicle detailed and some PDR work done to bring the trade value up?

    • @AndyElliottOfficial
      @AndyElliottOfficial  4 года назад +5

      zachelberry0188
      It’s simple... You say whether you do the PDR work or we do it still money that Has to be spent right? And the detail is still something that you have to do and we have to do right? So bottom line is that it’s still money that needs to be spent so spending more money and or us spending it is still money spent!
      And if you don’t spend the money and you take a lower value that actually saves you time and inconvenience and it ends up in the end working out the same without wasting your time…

    Hey Andy, great video!! I have a question about how you would close a customer on a payment they say is too high if the gas mileage is comparable or even worse than their current car and also does not come with a warranty?

    • @Mr.MikeTarrab

      Those customers would not come to you unless they love the car they're shopping for. They don't care about the gas. They're ready to upgrade.

    You are a Genius my friend! However how can you get around this if the customer isn't paying finance on the trade in? They won't have monthly payments however still have fuel and maintenance? The monthly average will be dramatically lower even with a warranty? Cheers

Then tries to justify it by calling it an intangible. This is why people like Andy Elliot are a stain on the car industry. And you salespeople are buying into this garbage because of your greed. Sickening.

    Coming from the customer's POV, at least with that intro, you would not get a sale from me. If I say "not a penny over 300" I mean it. You can explain it any way you want, I'm moving on. Now, the last time I went to a dealership, I had a similar situation, I said "I want it around 300, but if it needs to be a little more that's fine." They said 325, and I said why is it that much? I then went over it with them, they tried to tell me my credit was 50 points lower than it actually was, and I told them to kick rocks. I really wanted that car, but not enough to spend 23k on a car with a 14.5k sticker price.
    So basically, and I'm sure youre already aware of this, don't treat every customer the same. Some people really do mean "not a penny more"
