- Hey, we all use it - why did they use such reverent hushed voices, during the old time TV commercials for toilet paper. They even referred to it as "BATHROOM TISSUE" A pretty name for a piece of paper that will do a dirty job.

I don't think they even said the words "toilet paper" in, uhh, bathroom tissue commercials until 1976 or so, when a littie old lady claimed White Cloud "doesn't feel like (whispered furtively so no one could hear) toilet paper!"
I remember one from the 1970s and it had baby powder in it and it was a 2 roll pkg. Gotta have the 2-ply at least! lol.
Kimberly-Clark hasn't marketed "Delsey" bath tissue in years...
Sadly, nowadays, single- and two-roll packages of bathroom tissues were phased out about the time Johnny Carson told America there was going to be a shortage of toilet paper in the 1970s. Nowadays, six rolls total are the smallest size you can find!
