4 bet jam on the river is very rare. Its either nuts or nothing but still folding 3rd nuts to a 4 bet jam takes heart and tremendous amount of discipline. Good stuff Aaron.

Good example that speach play has value. Could of made him call by asking “do you have a flush?”
honestly, on a river with a small pot and it goes bet raise 3b 4b, its obvious someone at least has the second nuts. so it makes complete sense to fold. the check check before river doesnt make sense unless they have 44s or JJs since as the preflop agressor you 3b and only one call. no AKQ on the table so its trying to get value.

Was wondering if there is value in 4bet shoving. Of course depends on opponent but versus anyone reasonable TT is not beating any value hand at that point. Plus that shove as bluff is pretty crazy move to pull of.

It's all about how much you playing, low and mid stake games, nobody can fold that hand, and no need to fold......
If Andy said he is never bluffing and only raises hands close to the nuts in these spots; What does he have? With all the action he is basicaly saying he has 10's or jacks. Since you have the 10's, it has to be jacks. Im not saying I could have folded it, because that requires you think about it and analyse it before calling. But once you do that, it does make sense.
You cant fold it because you never play poker this deep. By the time you 3 bet on the river it's probably all in. There are no 4 bet all In call for most of us poker players.

Great fold. Junk hearts wouldn't have been passive. A junk 4 wouldn't have liked the turn bringing a second heart. And the 20k->80k 3-bet was too strong to attempt a bluff-shove.

Last night, 12/15 on ACR playing a PLO tournament, nearing the money. I had a short player on the button on my left min raise. I held AKT8, 1 suit so I called. Flopped KJ8. He min bet, I called. 8 on the turn, his min bet was 1/3 his stack, so I shoved him allin. He snapped JJ holding second boat..... 8 on the river. It felt like 1 outer, but was actually a 3 outer. Critical at the moment for me to stack more checks, and eliminate 1 more.
Mars had he standard 10 outs at the river. Well disguised to be true.

Dood has been playing the highest stakes in Macau for awhile. You don't last this long making hero calls. Look at that hand he had with Garrett when he folded the nut straight with a flush board.
Hero call is when you call off with with ace high or marginal hand. He only lost to quads and jacks there. That wouldn’t have been a “hero call” 😂😂
@@curlsgonewild5769 you are both right. 3rd nuts is def not a hero call but the way the betting went it's as the guy says, 10s full suddenly became a bluff catcher. Which kinda makes it a hero call lol.
@UC7TGb3ArLdZ9poecAeyDy-A as a bluff yes, for value no. Any flush or deuces full would almost instantly calll the 80K. So the 10s basically become a bluff catcher which technically *is* a hero call. It's just we are used to using the term as you said, with Ace high or marginal hands.
Having said that, folding third nuts is not a viable strategy and it doesn't make him a better player than others, you must have some extensive knowledge of how the villain plays to let that go.
@@Lymbe06 definition of hero call : To call a bet on the final round of betting with a relatively weak holding after suspecting the betting player is bluffing, so described because the call is considered especially “heroic” or brave. He did not have a relatively week hand and his opponent wasn’t bluffing. He is in no way right here.

1010 is not a bluff catcher on the river. he beats all the flushes, 22, 24, and J4. this is just a crazy cooler and an even more crazy fold.
Aaron Zhang is extremely rich. He came from China games. With that said, he folds to extreme pressure but definitely a good fold there. He knew Double M got it.
Double M: such a class act and a good human being. With that said, he over shoved…. Had he made it 120K more he would have won that.

Time chips almost always improve the game. Here in this one instance it took away from the game.
3rd-nuts is never good when you get 4-bet on the river. It's a painful fold but pretty straightforward nonetheless.
