      @@Joe-hf3cn what is he calling preflop for such a large 5 bet that is ahead of aces there. The only things I can think of are 1 combo of AK suited and 1 combo of aces (with the diamond freeroll). so he is losing to 2 combos, and ahead of atleast 6 (kings), possibly 12(if you add queens) and even more if you ad AK os. It's not like he flopped a set of jacks, he'd probably fold them preflop but even then only 3 combos of JJ. I'm honestly suprised Nik decided to check, a lot of people would just jam there before the diamond hits to extract value from sticky kings/queens. Aces are almost always ahead on this runout, just think a little deeper about what the opponent can have and how many combinations there are of worse/better hands. You want to get all your money in on the turn because the worse hands are still going to call at some frequency and you need to deny free equity.

    Both hands were pretty standard by Nik tbh. You can debate him checking or betting the turn, I’d prefer him betting since it’s 5b pre, villain unlikely to have flush draw, meaning he’s way more likely to have KK QQ. And the 4s full hand was super standard. He should 100% be calling flop and he hit gin.

    Bald Bull be killing it lately. GT's bet sizing on the turn was a huge error it told Nick exactly what he had. He could have no hand besides pocket QQ or KK because of this. Pocket JJ would have went all in..... a flush(unlikely hand) would have checked.

    • @skrhaha
      @skrhaha Год назад

      Why can't JJ make that bet, and why does it have to go all in? There's not enough bluff GT has in that spot to mix into the all-in bet size. To be frank I think the bet-fold line by GT is a solid play. If airball does not raise, river would likely go check-check, which is fine for GT. If airball raise, airball simply doesn't have enough bluff also in this 5bet pot, so you can fold pretty much anything less than set.

    • @Jolly-Green-Steve
      @Jolly-Green-Steve Год назад

      @@skrhaha Dude if anyone had set of Jacks on the turn with the pot that big they would be going all in to protect against a river diamond. You don't "have too" but it's the move GT or most people would make. He is either ahead or way behind here on the turn with KK.... against AA way behind no point in betting.... other scenario if Nick had just an Ace high rivering the Ace is only like 13 percent so it would be ok to check here. it's a better move than betting a size that is not all in like he did.

      This is a 5-bet pot, it doesn't matter if Nik checks, either you have aa, a set, or you don't have a value hand. Therefore betting is a polarization error. If he has ak and gets there, so be it. If you bet this kk, you are bluffing, Nik has no worse hands in range that can call.

    The second hand doesn’t make any logical sense. When you dall 75k what the f you are thinking. Qq is going almost always pressure you the same. How you are going to play that postflop. Or if you are hopping it is qq then check the turn and get to the river safe. Fold 75k is better then playing it, but the best is to jam it preflop. How many times you will burn half of your stack before you get those king to the finish? Lets say the sizes are much aller for blinds and open ups and the four bet is 15k and he has 60k. Is not he going to jam? Then he needs to do the same when it is 300k. If not then don’t bring that money to the table.
