Recently brought the same MSI Thin laptop..but AMD version.. I'd say it is my 1st ever gaming laptop i own with my budget..yes and despite it is low powered version gaming laptop..it performed quiet well in most of the games i played..and perfect enough for some emulations..slapped it with laptop stand cooler and i can gaming without worrying much about the heat..
You must be living in a much warmer place than me🙂 It's winter time in the UK now and my room temp is ~18C. That must be contributing towards lower temps a bit.
Brother I have the 16 GB version and I am playing VR games like VRChat and Horizon Worlds in 2000*2000 resolution in 80.frames. It cant be so bad when it runs VR in such a quality without DLSS.
I cant even Play anything with the GPU, im only getting around 10 fps even in WoW Classic without the high resolution pack, tried everything but i cant seem to find the gpu even in bios
Coucou je viens de découvrir la chaîne , moi j’ai un soucis avec msi center quand je veux effectuer une analyse des programmes sur une durée de 1 à 8 h ça me met «init false » 😅
My computer store has the same laptop model with RTX 4060, currently on sale... would the performance be noticeable compared to the one you have reviewed (RTX 4050).
Nice review, i wonder how the 4050 fares against the previous model with the rtx 3060 75w tgp. I have an issue i noticed on mine, there was a power cut while gaming then the system just powered off. on a reboot the battery is full, i tried starting the game but it still goes off. Did you notice this?
Can't say I had a similar experience. I've unplugged and plugged in the power cable many times during running a game and didn't experience anything like this. But then I imagine it is very different from what a power outage or a power spike may do to the system.
i got over 90fps-100fps in pubg with this laptop ( same like you ) on ultra settings but somtimes drop to 70 but its okay, all u need to do is overclock the laptop with msi afterburner, turn on gaming mode on windows 11, turn on the fan to extreme and done ure ready to rock
I was finding out about the Lenovo Ideapad 3 rtx 4050, 170w charger and it turns out that the battery discharges even using the charger with games like warzone 2, is this normal? Does the same thing happen on MSI gf63?
That is not normal. I haven't had such issue with this MSI laptop. Or any other laptop I owned in the past. 170W should be plenty for such a system. Maybe the charger or the laptop are defective? I'd contact Lenovo support.
@@iVadimUnbox Thank you 😊 a question, I am from Peru and I want to buy an Asus rog g15 laptop with rtx 4060 through Amazon, it is "cheaper". It costs 1230 USD and after years of saving I am going to buy my first laptop, before it was 1100 USD now 1230 USD, when will the price drop again to 1100? Those 130 USD will help me a lot👌
This dude sounds like anything that isnt apple, is garbage and why would you even try. The battery is able to power the compents the exact same as if it wad plugged in. The difference is the laptop automatically switches to lower power consumption mode when unplugged because that allows it to conserves battery longer. And go longer without charging. You can turn the feature off and your laptop will perform the exact same, charging or not.
thats about as minimum performance as it get's I would love to test it out cuz my current rig is a 6th gen 1050ti. and it would be hilarious to see how nice it feels. lol
@@typerightseesight good point about the temps. I didn't think to show that. Next time. Unfortunately, I've already returned this laptop so can't check.
It only crossed my mind because the performance settings are so drastically different I wonder if they are meant to be ran at about the same or not? I know ones a lot louder and if thats an average. haha@@iVadimUnbox
@@typerightseesight oh... that I can answer. The reason the performance is reduced while on battery is because the battery can't deliver enough power to run the GPU and the CPU at the same level as when plugged in. It is very common across the entire PC laptop selection featuring even a relatively powerful hardware. Even the RTX 4050. Only MacBooks deliver same performance on battery and plugged in as far as I know.
@@iVadimUnbox I think in most games there should be like 10-30% increase in fps with dual channel ram. I have the rtx 3050 version and in CS2 it has about 20 more fps
I won't buy one, even though it's cheap and has 16gb of RAM, on sale. Because of the Hinge issues most of them have. I have a 10 year old 17.3 HP still going (with a few upgrades), and a 7 year old one thats meh, showing it's age. I don't game on laptops anyway. But I do like the specs of the MSI, just not the quality.

Looks like MSI did a revision on this as all the ones I find around me are 16GB default
This pc can be upgraded to 64 Gb ram so much big difference in performance if u upgrade it
Wtf u doing with 64gb ram💀

I have the same but when playing the cpu go to 90degree in charge

I bought this laptop a while ago, have anyone notice the fact that it overheats(+20C°) when plugged?

I look forward to seeing more laptop reviews. Great video 😊
Thanks!🙂 It was fun to explore this laptop and make a video about it. I'll definitely do more content like it and better in the future.

3D Professional here. I'm happy with it.

I have the same but whit 16gb ram and in warzone don’t go more than 79 fps why ?
Check if you have free sync on turn it off

Why don't you used frame generation??

Fan to extreme? I can't stand THAT much noise.😄
@@iVadimUnbox yes it is, but if u wear headphones while editing or playing games, it will be no a problem at all 😁
plz upgrade ram and test the preformance again, i wonder how much the difference
Already returned the laptop. Maybe I'll get the next one to with more RAM to test it.
i installed 32gb ram on mine from crucial, i can run most games i recently played gow ragnarok with no lag spikes and decent graphics

8gb? 16gb? good video
Thanks! My laptop in this video has 8GB RAM if that's what you're referring to🙂
I have a big issue how can i check the battery level when charging the laptop without power on it
16 GB RAM are enough to play games like Hogwarts Legacy on high settings on this laptop. :D The other games will improve in performance as well.
Dang 40 fps is smooth to me

I wonder if the temperatures are higher plugged in or on battery when doing a stress test?

cheap??????? This thing cost a fortune in my Country

if u upgrade to 16gb ram you get 200+fps
In which game?🙂
