  • If you have a TRD PRO Tacoma and want to install Stealth Custom Series F5’s with 285’s but don’t want to toss the the OEM Fox internally bypassed shocks then check this out. This is what I came up with to make them fit.
    Parts used.

Whats the largest you think without a chop?

With F5’s and stock lift, I think you have to chop. With stock wheels I think you can run 255/80r16’s which is a 32” tall tire

I’m thinking of going with the Westcott design lift for my 19 pro too. Do you think I’d rub or have to chop if I have stock 16 inch TRD pro wheels running 285/75/16?

Wescott website says with their shock perches, you can run up to a 33” tire without having to chop the body mount. Wheel offset usually determines if a chop is needed. With the stock wheel, A 285/75 is just under 33”, so it would be close, or maybe rub when tucked and turning.

Thinking of ordering the F5’s. They look great. But with the hub is exposed, what do you do on the rear wheel? Front wheels have a rubber cap, however rear wheel, at least on my Tacoma, the hub has a layer of rust.

That’s a common complaint with the F5’s. Most folks will spray paint that rear hub black. High temp engine spray paint dries super fast. I don’t think there is a readily available cap that will work.

      I average 16.5-17 combined. On the highway I get 17-18 if I keep it around 69mph. I typically run 87 or e88.
