2:29 Ahhhhhhhhhh! The start up tune when you load a file in a Metroid game! As well as start Metroid on NES. I love that! And I think its even included to show Nintendo isn't forgetting about Metroid anytime soon. Can't wait to see Prime 4 and other Metroid games.
When I saw the bosses in the trailers (specifically tape and colored pencils) i really thought this game was a huge joke but Ive never been more wrong. The characters were unique, the story was ambitious and fresh and the music score was FABULOUS. Incredible game would 100% recommend for everyone to try out.

I don't get why everyone is so upset with Paper Mario's negligence to go straight-up RPG. There's already Super Mario RPG and the Mario and Luigi games. Paper Mario can be what it wants. Which is why Super Paper Mario is my favorite. Combining RPG with platforming.
BlooCheeseForMaBoi The problem with that is that Super Mario RPG released years ago and I can’t remember the last time a Mario and Luigi game came out. Even then just because those are RPGs that does mean that Paper Mario can’t be RPGs too. And the reason people are upset is because the gameplay simply isn’t *fun.* People are just tired of these gimmicky mechanics that are just going to be thrown out for the next game. The Sonic franchise has been more consistent than this series and that’s saying something. And another reason people are upset is because of Nintendo’s absolute refusal to actually listen to their criticisms, Origami King repeats the same mistakes as it’s predecessors, being very easy and unchallenging, and keeping things like turn based battles even though they clearly don’t want to make RPGs, making for a dull experience and this is something that frustrates fans because Nintendo clearly knows that fans liked the gameplay of TYD the most yet refuse to actually make games like that under the false pretense of making something “new.” And it isn’t actually combing RPG with platforming, it’s hardly even a RPG at all anymore and if it were to be counted as such it really sucks as one due to just how easy it is to just one shot enemies before they could even do anything. And it would also suck due to its lack of variation in weaponry, outside of consumables, there are *only* boots and hammers and that’s it.

This was my first Paper Mario, and I was enamored with what I experienced. The characters (surprisingly), the story, the F-ING VISUALS AND SOUNDTRACK ARE PERFECT, everything about this game is phenomenal. What a great way to enter Paper Mario.

Anyways, plugs stuff aside, I gotta say i really enjoyed this game. It had a lot of fun moments that felt like they could've been in a classic title. I also liked the battles, tho they're not for everyone, and the bosses were all very fun, with an exception or 2, this game isn't perfection but i would say it's a fun time.

What boss fights did you like the most
Nick Klumpp Well, for me it’s gotta be (SPOILERS) Rubber Band and Stapler.
My favorite bosses would probably be Rubber band, tape, and the penultimate boss
I love that this game has no BP, FP, or Exp so there is no risk of being under leveled. The fights are puzzle based with no RPG so they are easier to manage. Love this game.
and by the time you reach the point where the enemies could be a threat you would almost certainly have the best weapons in the game
You do technically gain strength through Max Hearts. Every one you collect increases your attack damage a bit, and you can insta-kill slightly stronger enemies in the field (why would you want to, though? COINS!!!). There is a bit of a risk to being "underleveled", though, as fewer Max Hearts means you're stuck with the minimum amount of HP you have throughout the course of the game.
@@KingdomKey-ik4xk True but you can pay the toads to get life back during fights and if you are lucky you can line up hearts on your attack route so though HP can be a struggle you can get it back

My favourite part of this game is how when you expect something really bad is gonna happen something silly happens afterwards.
Like for example when olivia got depressed over bobbys death and when you walk out and see all the moles are gone, i assumed they were all turned into origami and that something grim was gonna happen.. But instead the moles are fine and some time later Olivia is making a cute jokes and singing.
Going from final fantasy 7 to this is just a pleasant surprise for me in my opinion.
(Especially in a world where you just kinda expect bad things to happen at this point)
3:14 i’ve been handing for most of my life, and i think this was the first character i shed a tear for. and then the game pulls that move and gives the “important box” collectible
The music at Snifit City is by far my favorite song . All the music has been incredible so far but this just adds so much to the atmosphere of that town
The desert in this game really makes you feel like you’re in a desert. And honestly, this is the most colorful Paper Mario game. Even more than Color Splash.
The thing I like is how Olivia seems more lively and more emotion then the other partners we have especially some paint bucket.

I love the final boss, but the one issue is that the puzzle is tough to memorize your first time playing through when you have to memorize that and the dodges...took 4 tries to get the puzzle because I was too focused on trying to avoid the dodges. Not that it's bad mind you, this was the best boss so far
Me personally the Origami King is an underrated gem seriously the music, the characters, and some of the boss fights are incredible.

I really enjoyed the game but the fanle boss was not the best one out of them all but it's was fun but I loved every boss in the game I love the new battle system the water the partners my favorite being Bobby bob'om and I love every area in the game and that battle music to it's slaps so hard
Commas, please. Other than that I agree though, the bosses were more of their own thing than using the normal combat system.
My only problem with the final boss is that it's too easy. It's a very cinematic boss and I love the presentation of it, but I've had a harder time with boss fights halfway through the game
For me best partner is professor toad he really helps in the overworld and battles.
@@chickennoodlegamer915 To be fair Super's final boss was even easier than that. When it comes to final bosses in the PM series, none of them are hard honestly. Even Shadow Queen is easy in my opinion.
@@MarioSonic46 paper Mario games definitely don't have hard final bosses but Nintendo has mastered the illusion of difficulty. All the pm final bosses have like 2 or more mid fight cutscenes and so many different forms that you really feel like your doing something, even if the boss is a cake walk

This paper mario was an absolute fun adventure, yes its not exactly like paper mario TTYD but its still very fun. the characters are memorable and the music is some of the best Ive ever heard this game earned my respect

That’s kinda odd, because apparently the past paper Mario title 64, TTYD, and super are said to be connected to the super Mario franchise, and for some reason sticker Star, color splash, and Origami King are all in a book, since it’s been confirmed by Mario and Luigi paper jam, but if all of the games are connected, wouldn’t that mean that paper Mario, and Mario are the same, and that somehow they were both able to meet in paper jam? I’m starting to confuse myself

When you’re so early that you don’t know what to say
You forgot that in the museum you can use Toad Points (which can be claimed by saving toads) to unlock CONCEPT ART OF THE GAME. (And you forgot that for pretty much the first time ever in Paper Mario history you can finally re-fight bosses.) And the writing is pretty darn amazing. This has to be the best of the modern PAPER Mario games. Paper Mario, TTYD, and Super Paper Mario(?) Are considered Mario STORY games at this point.
Now that this video is out, you should make how the rest of the Paper Mario games are mind blowing!
