The fact that some enemies bowser can squash, but when Mario and Luigi encounter them they have to fight them is kinda neat EDIT: also them actually panicking when the other dies is a good touch, like how in other team based games, the teammates don’t care if they die
Its also funny how these smaller enemies mario&luigi fights are actually stronger then the big ones bowser fights. Because mario and Luigi encounter them when they are a higher lvl
This is not only my favorite mario game, but my favorite game of all time. Everything comes together so well with the spritework, the gameplay, and especially the music.

I've always found it badass that Bowser literally dies four times throughout the game by getting crushed to death. And then Mario and Luigi revive him and by doing so they turn him into a giant and then he fights the thing that crushed him.
I have so much nostalgia for this game. I remember getting it at target and struggling in the trash pit. But I was little, soo yeah. After I got older and played it all the way through many times, it’s become my personal favorite game of all time hands down. It easily surpasses all other games I’ve played.

My brother and I played this game on an emulator, and we loved every second of it. The only reason we stopped playing is that we got stuck in an area where you have to punch a gold rock/door thing, and we couldn't figure out how to get through it :(
One thing I love in particular about the final battle is that Bowser doesn't do it because he's gotta save the world he dose because He wants to prove to Dark Bowser that's he's better than him by beating him he even said "this kingdom is all mine!"
I always liked the midbus character. He was a good sport to stop the fight and let bowser heal after their first battle when he saw he couldn't continue in his state telling him to work on his skills to improve. Later on after their fight in the castle Midbus accepts defeat gracefully and even helped bowser by sliding a treadmill underneath him. Fawfull seemed to only want the mushroom kingdom while Midbus only wanted to fight with honor and that's what he got
I remember in the winter of grade one my mom got me this game as a surprise. I loved the style of it so much and the music. I got stuck on the fat bowser part cause I didn’t know what to do for the tornado part. Overall this is probably my favourite Mario game, so many good memories. Btw the wind is blowing at cavi cape is the second best song in the game
Shy guy squad will always be my favourite brawl attack. I’m so good at it I surprise myself sometimes. As for least favourite I’d have to say either goomba storm or bob-bomb blitz
Broque Monsieur is a reference to a french dish called Croque Monsieur, and the fun thing I noticed as a french player is that Charlie Block (the french name of Broque Monsieur) puts english words in his sentences instead of french words, like in your version of the game, that's probably the best character of the series to be honest
That's all this game is truly mind blowing and i love this game to death its my all my time favorite the Soundtrack, Story, Attacks, gameplay, and everything is on point with this game

It starts of good, ends of good, is fast paced, and has almost no issues if you ask me. Howrver TTYD, while amazing in it's own way feels a bit more slow paced throughout the entire game, and the backtracking, while not excessive if you ask me like others say, is definitely notable for especially Chapter 4(7 feels easier for me tbh). It's great if you ask me, but it's not as "fun" compared to BIS

To find that bastard you must go back to every chapter and talk to specific people,which sounds ok on paper but it isn't,because they don't give you a clue about who you have to talk to in order to proceed,they only tell you where to go. And after all this,it turns out General White was in Fahr Outpost the entire time,which is where you started,and then you have to spend another 5 minutes trying to wake him up and then you can FINALLY get to the Moon. And you know what's the worst part about this? This is just ONE of the many examples I can make to show you how much the pacing sucks

About exp. You don't really feel stronger at all in TTYD, cause the enemy's just compensate with higher Def, resulting into the damage you deal staying really low.
Paper Mario isn't about raising raw stats to overpower enemies, it's about playing carefully and being more strategic. That's the type of Gameplay Intelligent Systems specializes in.
I agree. However just because it's best/favorite doesn't mean others deserve to be hated(cough cough, Dream Team). Most people only think of BIS and SuperStar Saga when they think of ML. PiT and DT are rarely brought up. PJ isn't mentioned as often either but it's less because of the game but more because there ain't much to it. They're all amazing in theit own ways if you ask me, however BIS is definitely my favorite, and that doesn't mean the others are bad, simply have weaknesses I wish they didn't compared to BIS.

This game brought me so much comfort as a boy. I caught a wave of nostalgia thinking about it today and honestly, 15 years later I am amazed at how polished this game is even for Nintendo standards, and it has a beautiful story

this game has award winning OST on the level of sonic games, insane graphics and creative fresh gameplay that holds up after YEARS and another reason why the 3ds remains the best console ever made
i wouldn’t even say rpg games are my go to games. but bowsers inside story is literally one of the best rpg games i’ve ever played. the gameplay and mechanics are unique and the idea of being able to play as multiple characters simultaneously is brilliant. the mechanic of using specific buttons to control certain characters makes it easier to navigate and adjust to at the beginning of the game. and of course the lore in this game goes crazy and the fact mario and luigi wander around inside bowser’s body is so unique and different from any other mario games i’ve played. it’s obvious the game designers brought out their creative juices with this game

This was my first Mario & Luigi game, and I’m glad to have played it because if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have known the others existed. Such a great game.
I also really like how bowser turns the small enemies into coins just by walking but Mario and Luigi have to fight them, just kind of a cool detail

Not directly stronger, but you can for example equip more badges. And with more badges you have more benefits, which feels rewarding too.
