There are benefits to getting a car at the end of its production cycle. Mechanically this has got to be one of the most reliable vehicles in its class.
I can’t believe you aren’t at 1 mill subs yet. You definitely deserve it. You are 100% the most consistent and entertaining channel on RUclips right now.
I just did the LA to Bay Area run in a previous RX 450H. It is a nice quiet car. We averaged 25 MPG, which is pretty good considering it is such a high vehicle, and not aerodynamic. very quiet around town. A very nicely made vehicle, sells well for a good reason. Don't know why tiny people feel like they have to have a battleship like this, but i find so many smaller people loving this car.
Yooooooooooow!!!! Lexus is sending this generation of the RX out with a bang!!! This thing is stunning Joe!!! That blue is shimmering and you can't beat their hybrid powertrain, reliability and value proposition!!! Lori, we saw you flexing behind that camera in the rear end of this RX getting ALL the angles!!! Top tier review, Joe and Lori!!! Congratulations on your anniversary and cheers to many many more years!!!
Bought the first RX450h back in 2011 and almost 200k miles later, guess whats at the top of my wish list again…. Such a great suv, takes everything south lake tahoe has thrown at it!
You forgot a couple of things that are more important than the storage of baby back ribs! First is the CVT. It has a traditional first gear so acceleration feels very normal, after it comes out of first then it goes into the CVT. Unique to Toyota CVT. Then the heated and cooled seats have an auto setting so your buns are always at the right temperature ! I've got less than 250 miles on mine and love it.
I appreciate Joe and you and Lori making these videos 7 days a week. Especially, when I have nothing to do. I can always count on watching your great reviews of cars and trucks I would like to have. Keep up the good work!!
I always have to say one thing in this video: This brand-new lexus RX 450h is one of my favorite SUV'S I ever seen. Also I rather get this vehicle over it's competition with my favorite paint job on this brand-new lexus RX 450h. But excellent review joe.
I really enjoy Joe Raiti's videos, they're informative and not the overly critical stuff you get from a lot of motoring journos who just immediately poo-poo everything that isn't European. I've always loved these RX'S, my nextdoor neighbour has a 300 & my cousin has a 350, I've driven both. I really like the style inside and out and are just very nice to drive..but many journos tell us they're not good looking or good to drive and a lot of arm chairs critics say the same. If it's not a BMW or Merc, then it's no good apparently..which we all know is not true. This is a colour we don't get in Australia, hope we get this in the next generation!
Looks like a great reliable SUV. I’m excited for the Toyota Sequoia hybrid coming out this summer. I know it’s a full size suv, but should be priced similarly and larger
I appreciate the fact that this RX has the best of both worlds. It has a powerful 3.5 V6 and a hybrid system. It gives me the power of a V6 and the MPG of a sedan. Future Lexus Hybrid won't have this combo. This is the last of its kind.
I’m sure Lexus will sprinkle their magic and redesign this RX, and it will have just as much success as the other new Lexus models. I do hope they stick with this color, though!
Looking at the 2022 RXh vs RXhL Like the FSport for sure but now really wanting to know what Lexus will do for 2023!! Thanks for another great Raiti's ride review!
I bought two of the "On Throttle" t-shirts and they are very nice! The material is very comfortable and the shipping is fast. Only cost 20 bucks! This is not a paid advertisement!
I'm working with my Dealer to buy a 450h F-sport but the configuration I want isn't available at any of the nearby dealerships. They are looking around and haven't found it yet. The supply chain issues has everything moving all the slower. I just have to be patient. At some point the Dealership says I can request thru the factory to my desired specifications but that option is not available yet. I'm going with he F-sport because it just looks so much better (love the Grecian Blue), I also like the Handling Package option and will buy it. I prefer this year's model because it will be the last version with the tried and true 6 cylinder engine. Next year's model will have the 4 cylinder Turbo. It might be a little quicker but I'd rather have the bigger engine and its winning engine. This is the engine giving owners 200K plus miles on their car. Impossible to know if a more complex turbo will be as reliable. Also I love Lexus has all hardwired buttoned internal vehicle controls. Next year's model will be likely similar to the NX with a Tablet type interface to control interior functions. I find that clumsy requiring multiple steps per function compared to a single button for individual control. Anyway, those are my thoughts. Hope the Dealer can find my desired car soon.
I’m thinking the same! I like the physical buttons on the dash and the engine as well. Having a hard time finding my dream car and they won’t accept a custom order. Hopefully I can find it soon
Great car. I’d definitely buy one of these especially in the secondary market with some depreciation out of it. This design, build quality and powertrain will be on the road the next decade at least. 😊
Hey Joe and Lori, and also the Raiti's Rides family, how are y'all doing today? 😁 Thanks for this review about this Japanese mid-size SUV from Lexus. Ok anyways the Lexus RX 450h is the hybrid version of the Lexus RX and it's also a good looking mid-size that's "affordable" and reliable. I'm not going to talk to much about the Lexus RX 450h because it's not the most interesting vehicle at first expect that it's a hybrid with 308 hp with the good looks and it's also a F sport. Now this is an Lexus Rx 450h F, which means it have some styling upgrades like the front end and ECT. Anyways if you had to choose what is your favorite mid-size SUV. Maybe the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Dodge Durango, Kia Sorento, Kia Telluride, Hyundai Santa Fe, Hyundai Palisade or ECT. Or maybe the more luxury/premium models like the Jeep Grand Cherokee/Grand Cherokee L, Acura MDX, Mercedes GLE, BMW X5/X6, Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Volvo XC60, Volvo XC90, Tesla model X, Infiniti QX60, Range Rover sport, Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Defender, and ECT.
What about the 6 series GT? Could you do an in-depth video about it, Joe? That's the best sedan ever made, in my opinion! I know a lot of people would disagree with me, but I've always wanted to choose something different!! And the GT certainly is, because it gives you the aesthetic and sporty feeling of a coupé and the comfy aspect of a sedan with the same leg room as in the 7 series and the same head room as in the X5! And with a huge boot space!!!!
I have a 2017 350 RX F sport. I considered a 450h F sport because I like a hybrid. The 450h requires premium fuel. When you consider the hybrid option cost + premium fuel cost it just didn't make sense for me. My 2017 only has 36,000 miles. When I do trade it will be for another RX.
Hard decision the Lexus is really nice but think stick with Highlander love that color combination. Don't worry Joe you're good boy they just coming they appreciate your good work ... LOL 😆 which is the truth what you do is amazing.
Pass that to the Toyota Highlander with the same Engine but with a Twin Turbo power and a 8 speed Automatic Transmission thank keep bringing the videos we love them!
That depends on what you value if you were valuing a good deal and price savings then you should go with the Toyota Highlander. It’s going to be much cheaper than a Lexus RX probably about $20,000 less. If you want to go with ultimate luxury, then go with the Lexus. I’m also looking at the Lexus Rx 500 H F sport. You get a TwinTurbo 2.4 in line for versus a 2.0 L turbo in-line four and a bump stop the horsepower nicely. At least you got through you are 150 hp with the 500 you get around to 90 with the 458.
You should not choose a car because of the brand. The car and its model must be earned in order to be bought. Lexus is no heaven or makes you feel blissful. It does not automatically mean that it is the best possible choice. Not even every time. The comparison is always worth it. In the series where the Lexus nx is, it has a Volvo xc40, Toyota rav4, BMW x1, which are safer than the nx. The Lexus NX Series doesn’t offer pretensioners for the rear seat belts. compared to a bit of other cars as well so you get a perspective on the matter BMW x1 vs Lexus nx : The BMW X1 has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The NX Series doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag. BMW X1 is safer than the Lexus NX Series The X1’s corrosion warranty is 6 years longer than the NX Series’ (12 vs. 6 years). BMW pays for scheduled maintenance on the X1 for 2 years and 26000 miles longer than Lexus pays for maintenance for the NX Series (3/36,000 vs. 1/10,000). There are over 43 percent more BMW dealers than there are Lexus dealers, which makes it easier should you ever need service under the X1’s warranty. On the EPA test cycle the X1 gets better fuel mileage than the NX serie Brakes and Stopping : The X1 stops much shorter than the NX 70 to 0 MPH BMW 170 feet Lexus 183 feet Passenger Space : The X1 has 29.6 cubic feet more passenger volume than the NX (101.2 vs. 71.6). The X1 has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the NX Lexus nx vs Lexus rx : Lexus nx is cheaper. The Rx has a larger interior. In a crash test using a dummy (doll), rx is much safer than nx. Lexus rx price range is different. Lexus rx and Toyota highlander, both have the same and also better level of reliability than nx ( source : J.D. Power web pages ). The car crash tests 4 stars each ( Toyota highlander, Lexus rx ). BMW x4 vs Lexus rx : The X4’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The RX Series doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners. The X4 has a standard PostCrash iBrake, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The RX Series doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed. To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the X4. But it costs extra on the RX Series. The X4’s corrosion warranty is 6 years longer than the RX Series’ (12 vs. 6 years). BMW pays for scheduled maintenance on the X4 for 2 years and 26000 miles longer than Lexus pays for maintenance for the RX Series (3/36,000 vs. 1/10,000). There are over 43 percent more BMW dealers than there are Lexus dealers, which makes it easier should you ever need service under the X4’s warranty. On the EPA test cycle the X4 gets better mileage than the RX Series 60 to 0 MPH : x4 109 feet, RX Series 123 feet The X4’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (50.2% to 49.8%) than the RX Series’ (57% to 43%). This gives the X4 more stable handling and braking. The X4 has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the RX Series with its rear seat up (23.7 vs. 16 cubic feet). The X4 has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the RX Series with its rear seat folded (50.5 vs. 32.6 cubic feet). Lexus rx are not among the top three. The Toyota rav4 will be significantly cheaper than the Lexus rx or BMW x4 during the five-year ownership period. Lexus rx and es are probably the best car models of the brand. The value of a new Toyota highlander car will fall by 35% in five years, new Lexus es350 38%, new Lexus rx car 41%, nex Lexus nx car 45%, new Lexus LS car ~60%. You never know if an injury will occur, today it may be the last day you are healthy. Health may not be regained. Then a safer car would have been a better choice. Car safety matters are therefore important. I looked on the website for what readings the cars have received in safety tests : Neck injuries occur with a 46% probability on a Lexus nx ride in a 50km/h (35mph) crash test where a dummy ( doll ) was used. Here is results ( 2021-2022 ) : The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration does 35 MPH front crash tests on vehicles. Neck Injury Risk : Lexus nx driver 46% passenger 42%. Audi a3 driver 45% passenger 34%. Audi a6 passenger 41%. Lexus is driver 35% passenger 41%. Lexus ux driver 33% passenger 36%. Toyota avalon driver 35%. MB C-Class sedan driver 24% passenger 60%. Mazda 6 driver 23% passenger 53%. Toyota rav4 driver 29% passenger 37%. BMW x1 driver 32% passenger 31%. Volvo xc40 driver 30% passenger 31% Toyota Corolla cross driver 27% passenger 27%. If there is a crash that car is doing badly, then it hurts and hard. I prefer to walk, go by bike or taxi, but I don’t go to this car(s) ). I choose the sedan car model myself. Toyota Camry is at least safe, although not the best in all areas. car crash test 5 star in every segment ( unlike suv -> 4 star ). - lower price ( than mostly suv ) - better reliability ( than mostly suv ) - better fuel economy ( than mostly suv ) - all wheel drive if you want / need what could be better : - brakes and stopping : more powerful brakes. - a bit better headlights - corrosion warranty : 7 -> 12 year Thank you
2022 is a zonk from me- I can't wait until they redesign it to look more like the NX which you beautifully reviewed and I watched before this one. The track pad has to go and I can't wait for them to put the name Lexus on the back hatch. If they get rid of the body cladding above the wheels and instead paint-match it to the body color, then I'm getting one of these over an X3/X5.
Why didn't they follow the new NX350h's infotainment screen? Will it be on the 2023 RX450h model? That tablet screen stuck on dash and trackpad is getting old, or is it for old folks? I would rather have extra cup holder in place of controller pad.
Joe hello from the Dominican Republic. I'm a big fan you and the channel. Is it recommended to wait for the next gen or get a 2022 RX if I'm in the market. Also the rumors sat the next gen will not have a V6 and will be an I4 turbocharged I would prefer the V6 but it may be dated. I love this car but maybe should wait (?)
Lexus need to rebuilt (redesign) the rx series, because their competitors such as bmw x5, mercedes GLE already bring the all new version nowdays, even genesis also
It’s too late for Lexus. All the rivals have already mopped the next generation RX off the floor before it even gets unveiled. A dressed up Toyota Highlander/ Camry on stilts is not luxury whatsoever. If you want the new Lexus RX, it does exist, except it’s called the GV80
@@naveenthemachine if now it's too late, that's true, because in 2015-2016 that was where the rx dominated the market, even including the best choice of consumers in the mid size luxury suv class, this was also proven in the US and UK, but when it started to enter the year 2019-2020 other manufacturers such as Mercedes, BMW and even Genesis have redesigned their products, and the dominance of the RX series has decreased drastically. It's true that in 2019 Toyota finally launched the all new camry and all new highlander using the RX series platform, and making the Toyota Harrier (in America it's Venza) not on the same platform as the RX but Rav4 or NX series, even because the Highlander is already on the same platform with the RX series. Since the rx series has been in the latest generation, in 2020-2021 it has become the best-selling mid-size suv in the US (because it is cheaper than the RX). Like the comment from the "Thestrightpipe" channel, that because the RX series is so reliable, Lexus doesn't rush or quickly redesign or launch the all new RX series even though its rivals have cleaned up first. it must be admitted that if you want luxury but the budget is tight, then genesis is the best choice, it's like buying an iPhone but lack of funds then just take the huawei P series, especially when it comes to huwaei camera results are still the best
Mom has a 2013 RX Hybrid (Will be 10 years come August)...its reliable! But for a car enthusiast like me, I find it boring to drive lol. But good to have in the garage for the daily drives.
It’s a great looking SUV. 2023 redesign model not going to have V6. It will be turbocharged I4. 2022 still has 2016 technology which updated and facelift on 2020. The model we see here, check out from the dealer from 63 to 68 thousand dollars, plus all the beautiful fees that dealers can’t live without..... Highlander 2020 design, new platform. Looks like it will have the V6 up until 2027 year. The difference between these cars should be 10-15K....

I had a 92 camry then upgraded to a 2014 corolla s when it came out, ive been a Toyota fan for the longest. Looking to upgrade to an SUV in a year or 2 and I will say, if they don't nail the RX/GX redesigns and don't make the "F Sport" badging legit, ill be switching over to a different company. Lexus, please, I would love to stay in the family but so far with what you put out with the "F Sport" NX and LX, I'm losing hope. We need legitimate exhausts, performance and an actual luxurious interior for the redesigned RX/GX. Take some notes from Genesis because if I had to choose today on what vehicle to pursue, it would be a GV70/80 as they are the only company right now giving you your moneys worth. The Germans simply charge too much just for the name and you definitely don't get your moneys worth.
Very disappointed with the 2023 re-design. No 6 cylinder available on the new RX lineup. BOOO!! Don’t want to have a turbo in order to get power out of a 4. Small 4 cylinder sounds like it is whining its heart out on long uphill grades like the Cajon Pass in Southern CA. Don’t like the newly designed front end. UGLY! Lexus took a step backward with that design. The rest of the car looks great, however. Interior is very nice, but I still think the 2022 RX450H interior is very nice. I had the newly redesigned Lexus NX450H+ plug-in hybrid. Loved the fact that I rarely needed to stop at a gas station, but ultimately it was too small inside for me. It drove great on the flat, but that drive up the Cajon Pass had the gas engine screaming its lungs out. Made me feel like over time that little 4-banger would wear out quickly. So Lexus went ahead and put the same engine in the larger, heavier 2023 RX line. Makes no sense to me. They should have kept the 6 cylinder as an available option. If they had done that I would have seriously considered upgrading to the new model. Instead, I was able to find a new fully loaded 2022 RX450H F Sport which does have the 3.5L 6 cylinder gas engine along with the hybrid setup. LOVE THIS CAR! As for the hated track pad…I don’t know why people hate it and why Raiti says not to operate it while driving. I have no problem operating it at all. Also, it eliminates the need to lean forward to operate the touch screen and take my eyes completely off the road. The new huge infotainment screen on the 2023 is very nice, but it is glitchy. On the NX I had trouble with the Navigation because it kept recognizing me as a “Guest” rather than the owner. It wouldn’t allow me to do voice command navigation as a “Guest.” Very aggravating. Hopefully Lexus will eventually come up with updates to eliminate this problem in the future. Bottom line, I opted for the outgoing 2022 RX450H F Sport with its 6 cylinder engine. Will never let that go - unless Lexus relents and brings back the 6 as an option in the future.
Hi joe . My vehicle died two weeks ago and I can’t wait for the redesign 2023 . There’s a 2022 rx 450h L available in 2 weeks in a dealership close to me . Is that worth $60k you think ? Thanks v much
@@RaitisRides really ? That makes Me very comfortable. Will do . After all at this point I really don’t think I have a better choice . Thanks so much for your reply
I'm sorry but Lexus has because like Chevy and what I mean by that, Lexus is late to game with making necessary updates to their interiors. I could never understand why for some manufactures it takes them over 10 years to make updates. Lexus is still rocking the track pad just like Nissan still is using the same old Key Fob. Back in the day of classic domestic vehicles every year Dodge, Chevy and Ford would change up their modes. I know it's not fair to compare domestic to import vehicles especially in a time were there is chip shortages, gas prices are going through the roofs, the V8 are being push out of todays society. Back to my point Lexus should have make more changes a while ago. Besides the reliability, I don't see anything that entices me to want to buy a Lexus.
There are benefits to getting a car at the end of its production cycle. Mechanically this has got to be one of the most reliable vehicles in its class.
What's the benefits ?
we have a car,
Toyota Corolla,
it works just fine.

I agree. My Camry was the last year of its generation. Still running like clockwork.
The last year of a model is the most reliable of that model, The first year is the least reliable. That being said this is the year to buy a new Rx
Love the dark chrome. Hope to see more of this across all brands.

I appreciate Joe and you and Lori making these videos 7 days a week. Especially, when I have nothing to do. I can always count on watching your great reviews of cars and trucks I would like to have. Keep up the good work!!
I am so glad that I can be here for you Dan!
Hello Joe! I love watching your videos. I bought the 2022 Lexus RX350 because I prefer 3.5L V6 engine over the 2.4L turbocharged inline 4 engine.
I always have to say one thing in this video: This brand-new lexus RX 450h is one of my favorite SUV'S I ever seen. Also I rather get this vehicle over it's competition with my favorite paint job on this brand-new lexus RX 450h. But excellent review joe.
Thanks for the review Joe, love Lexus but saved the bucks and went the a Platinum hybrid Highlander.
Love that color and style - plus dependability. Saw Lori in refection. She's
" Doing the Business " 👍
I have an 06 400h & it’s so ahead of its time. I can only imagine what this is like! Great video.
First time watching your videos. Very well done! Thorough and great honest opinions. Picked one up.
That really means a lot! Thank you for watching!
Love the Lexus RX it’s one of my favorite suv brand cars and the RX line just fits in the suv family
Looks like a great reliable SUV. I’m excited for the Toyota Sequoia hybrid coming out this summer. I know it’s a full size suv, but should be priced similarly and larger
That blue paint on that car looks stunning in the sun light. I like what Lexus did with it by the way.
It has a fantastic pop to it in the sun!
@@RaitisRides you are right about that
@@Reaperguy67 Yes indeed!
I love this dudes videos and all the chat about storage space for my Twinkie’s 😂
I totally agree with you!
The 2023 has 4 cylinder. That’s a turn off!
I love Lexues. I owned is for years. Wanted to buy awd RX, but the cargo space is so small. . Still thinking. Looks like older models had more room.
Great review as always joe. Big fan of rx but I will wait for redesign of new rx there might be plug in rx like the new 2022 nx keep up the good work😀
Looking at the 2022 RXh vs RXhL Like the FSport for sure but now really wanting to know what Lexus will do for 2023!! Thanks for another great Raiti's ride review!
They're replacing the v6 with a 4 cylinder - ugh!
I bought two of the "On Throttle" t-shirts and they are very nice! The material is very comfortable and the shipping is fast. Only cost 20 bucks! This is not a paid advertisement!
Thanks Blake for doing that! I really appreciate your awesome support!
love the RX and can´t wait to see where they will take it stylingwise for the next generation
I really like the color of the Lexus! Great job!
Lexus did a great job with this one.
Joe you and Lori do a great job - love the color but I'll wait for the redesign
Hope you like a 4 cylinder RX......
Great car. I’d definitely buy one of these especially in the secondary market with some depreciation out of it. This design, build quality and powertrain will be on the road the next decade at least. 😊
Great review, love your humor.
Thanks for letting me share it all with you!
Love the videos! Keep them coming
You got it!
This is one beautifully machine ❤..sick paint job.
It’s an amazing color for sure!
Hey Raiti's Rides Can You Compare 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum And 2022 Lexus Rx 450h Hybrid
You got it brother!
Hey Joe and Lori, and also the Raiti's Rides family, how are y'all doing today? 😁
Thanks for this review about this Japanese mid-size SUV from Lexus.
Lol. It looks like you wrote a whole page of your new book.
We are doing goo Michael! Thanks for being so supportive!
@@Reaperguy67 You are hilarious!
@@RaitisRides lol I had to since it was a long comment
@@Reaperguy67 yeah I guess it was a longer comment today then usual, but not so long ago I used to write things alot more longer then this 😅
This is the only time I'll come to this channel only when there is a Lexus I love Lexus cars ONLY.
The interior does look a little bit dated but it is pretty well done. I'm curious about the redesign.
Me 2. Hope it's soon
i dont find it too dated only thing i dont like is that there not handle on the door panel it kinda looks empty
I love it my boy Joe and Lori and keep up the work and I love the video lot real true 👍 💯💯💯💯💯
To the door panels…. Gets me every time 🚀🚀🚀💥💥
Blue is my favorite color. But I'd rather drive a black one🏎🔥🔥🔥
I will get that together for you!
Great review. Thank you Joe @ Lori. Toyota/ Lexus know how to make a great looking Suv .
Nice color. As always, love it Joe!
What a shame it requires premium fuel!
@@gianniclaud It's just a pain. Why make a hybrid that requires premium fuel ?
It does not require premium fuel only. The inside of the fuel cap says it can take both premium or regular.
Fantastic SUV. I like the front end design but also apart of me wants to change it a little bit.
I totally understand where you are coming from.
@@RaitisRides I can simply ignore it but sometimes you just want a better design on it.
Bought a 21 Highlander XSE last year, traded it on a 22 RX 350 this week. I'd never go back. lol
Congrats Douglas and thank you for sharing your experience!
We need to get taco bell to invent a new cylinder container for nachos so we can fit them in the door pockets
I love he way you think Daniel!
RX 450h looks awesome and feels more sporty than the Highlander, even if it isn't.
Nice Lexus RX class Joe I love this SUV.

@@RaitisRides The new NX tells you the new RX story. 😉
You should not choose a car because of the brand.
The car and its model must be earned in order to be bought.
Lexus is no heaven or makes you feel blissful.
It does not automatically mean that it is the best possible choice.
Not even every time.
The comparison is always worth it.
In the series where the Lexus nx is,
it has a Volvo xc40, Toyota rav4,
BMW x1,
which are safer than the nx.
The Lexus NX Series doesn’t offer pretensioners for the rear seat belts.
compared to a bit of other cars as well so you get a perspective on the matter
BMW x1 vs Lexus nx :
The BMW X1 has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard.
BMW X1 is safer than the Lexus NX Series
The X1’s corrosion warranty is 6 years longer than the NX Series’ (12 vs.
On the EPA test cycle the X1 gets better fuel mileage than the NX serie
Brakes and Stopping :
The X1 stops much shorter than the NX
70 to 0 MPH
BMW 170 feet
Lexus 183 feet
Passenger Space :
The X1 has 29.6 cubic feet more passenger volume than the NX
(101.2 vs. 71.6).
The X1 has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the NX
Lexus nx vs Lexus rx :
Lexus nx is cheaper.
The Rx has a larger interior.
In a crash test using a dummy (doll),
rx is much safer than nx.
Lexus rx price range is different.
Lexus rx and Toyota highlander,
both have the same and also better level of reliability than nx
( source : J.D. Power web pages ).
The car crash tests 4 stars each ( Toyota highlander, Lexus rx ).
BMW x4 vs Lexus rx :
The X4’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly.
On the EPA test cycle the X4 gets better mileage than the RX Series
60 to 0 MPH : x4 109 feet,
RX Series 123 feet
The X4’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (50.2% to 49.8%) than the RX Series’ (57% to 43%).
The value of a new Toyota highlander car will fall by 35% in five years,

nex Lexus nx car 45%,
new Lexus LS car ~60%.

I love the new NX! It is crazy out there!
I would get the highlander and put those Lexus wheels on it. 😃
I don’t care for the current RX exterior styling.

Yes sir, thank God I will buy one for myself
Simply best suv on the planet !
Love all the random food reference, lol. Great reviews!
Joe I believe one day, car manufacturers are going to finally listen and match paint around the wheels and ditch the black plastic! 😄
Fingers crossed!
Would this SUV be too small for a 6' 2'' 230 lb man?
Not at all.
Its dated but the current generation of the RX aged good
CVT ruins it. So sloppy. Drove one last week and agree with the review. Not worth the price right now but maybe heavily discounted.
Luxury, style, reasonable performance, economical and classy. But a bit pricey.
They do hold their value though.
what's your take on the comparison of the 2? pros and cons, ride feel, info tainment etc? Lexus is definitely more sporty looking, thoughts?
That is a great question!
When will the REDESIGN happen? Sooooooo excited.
I think next year!
Why is the 0-60 so slow with a V-6 plus electric motors? Is the V6 only on the sport (RX 450)?
I want to get a job at Lexus naming colors!
Now that sounds like a plan!
Always a Great Job Lori Joe Another Good Review thank you both 👍 Appreciate your Channel and content

- better reliability ( than mostly suv )
- better fuel economy ( than mostly suv )
- all wheel drive if you want / need
what could be better :
- brakes and stopping : more powerful brakes.
- a bit better headlights
- corrosion warranty : 7 -> 12 year
- reliability -> it is good but a bit more is never bad thing
Thank you
Looking at this and the Q5, and the XC60. Decisions....
Hi need advice for RX450H 2022 are good :) thanks
Beautiful vehicle..wish I can afford one
Great review, but I think I'll "wait for the redesign" :)
What a beautiful car wow!!
Hopefully next gen RX coming later this year 👀
It's gorgeous, please don't add any chrome, perfect the way it's designed.
Ready for the redesign
Ask and you shall receive!
I’ve been looking for a vehicle to play my CDS lol
Hi joe . My vehicle died two weeks ago and I can’t wait for the redesign 2023 . There’s a 2022 rx 450h L available in 2 weeks in a dealership close to me . Is that worth $60k you think ? Thanks v much
i would jump on it Mel!
@@RaitisRides really ? That makes
Me very comfortable. Will do . After all at this point I really don’t think I have a better choice . Thanks so much for your reply
Nice car. I had those same rims on my 2014 IS 250.
Lexus: we've got black fenders. it's just beautiful to me.
Had an RX 350 and traded for a 22 Highlander. Answer is Highlander!
Change camera angle when goin on throttle joe!!
Love it 💙💙
I’m so glad that I could share this one with you!
If the '23 had a V6 I would wait. Since it has a 4 cylinder pulling an almost 5,000lb SUV, I'll get the 2022 while I can!
Very good call on that one.
@@RaitisRides And the sad part about it is it probably won't get any better gas mileage!
How much longer is the RX 450 than the RX 350??
I was planning to purchase this same color car but dealer add $10k marked up
That is just really crazy!
Have you seen the new NX & LX from Lexus?
That because they sell more of this every year, why should they redesign every year.
