“The difference between a Lexus and Toyota is like heaven and earth”. I love that reference👍🏾.
If I'm getting the Mark Levinson sound system, I sure as hell want a CD player to go with it.
Kevin, on 30 April 2023, I finally purchased a 2022 Lexus RX350 with the luxury package in Nightfall Mica Blue. It only has 2,015 miles on it, and I got the deal of a lifetime so I could not pass it up. After many months of research and watching your extremely thorough and honest reviews, I was convinced that Lexus was the way to go since I am a 61-year-old guy who just want to cruise! The RX350 is everything you said and more! Thanks for recommending Lexus products and for all you do! Keep the faith and be well! Keep those reviews coming, my friend!
Massive congrats my friend! So happy for you and your purchase, and thank you very much your kind words. Enjoy the vehicle and please update us on your experiences. God Bless!
This was a great review of the 2022 lexus rx350. I love this car, hope I can afford it soon. Thanks man!
Thank you my friend!
Lexus review always gets better when done by a Lexus owner, from over 50 2022 RX reviews I've seen yet, this review stands out, it's pure knowledge and logic.
Really great honest review! Best one I have seen on youtube about Lexus.
Thank you my friend
Great review! Finally a reviewer has positive things to say about the touch pad! I don’t understand the haters’ problem with it. Like you, I find the touch pad intuitive and very easy to operate. Like you, I don’t like using a touch screen while driving. I don’t want to have to lean forward to reach it, and just as I’m about to touch it I hit a bump in the road and touch the wrong area of the screen. I also find that reaching out to touch the screen also results in taking my eyes off the road momentarily. No problem with the touch pad.
I am very disappointed that Lexus has abandoned the tried-and-true excellent 6 cylinder internal combustion engine in favor a small 4 cylinder. Accelerating up a steep grade mountain pass, the little four screams its heart out. I had the 2022 newly designed NX450H+ PHEV for a little over 7 months. I hated driving up the Cajon Pass in San Bernardino County, CA. It is a long uphill grade going north. I found the four cylinder gas engine’s whine all the way up the Pass very annoying. It sounded like it was straining. The NX is not a light car, so my impression was that the 4 cylinder engine was having to work hard to get up to the top of the Pass. The 2023 RX has the same 4 cylinder engine. The six has been discontinued. Bad move, Lexus!
I was on the hunt for one of the last RX’s with the 6 cylinder engine. I was lucky enough to find a brand new one. I made the trade. Will never look back. If Lexus had offered the 2023 RX with an optional 6 cylinder I might have looked seriously at it, but no, not available. I am thrilled with the 2022 RX450H F Sport. I am thoroughly enjoying it.
I just bought my 2022 RX 350 without navigation and I do have the CD player. I've wanted this car for a long time and though I've only had it for 10 days, I'm already loving it. The ride is smoother than I thought it would be and it's very responsive to the twists and turns of the Texas hill country where I live. Great review and summary of the car and its features.
they still make CD player in these modern car?
They do! I don't personally have any CDs, but in case I get one, I can play it in the car, lol.
I just got one today. Found it used with 5000 miles on it and can't wait to drive it!
I really like the way it looks, especially the iconic Lexus grill.
You are so underrated; your videos are so relaxing
Thank you my friend I appreciate that!
Great review! Brought the 2022 model for the exact reason you stayed with it being the last V6 RX 350. The 8 speed transmission seems to be great so far too.
13:00 I cannot agree more. The mousepad is superior, but the hate for it has been absolutely overblown.
Facts
Concur, I was fortunate enough to get a 22 Rx (wanted the v6) and use the mousepad on occasion. Btw I love my vehicle (after the shock of the price)
I drive a 2020 RXL, same color, same wheels, same interior as the one you have in this video, and after watching your videos on the RX I’ve grown to appreciate it more. Being one of the best cars to buy for quality, fit and finish, style, comfort and literally everything. I love this thing and this may be the generation to get because of that v6. Still sad they killed off the RXL for the next generation.
Very nice my friend. The new Lexus 3 row will be called the TX rather than “RX L” same concept just different name
@@MeynMotorGroup yes I read about the TX and I can’t wait for your take on it Kevin. Keep up your quality content 💪🏽
Thank you my friend I’m humbled by your kind words
Traded my rav4 for this. 100% agree about your comparison.
Great content, appreciate the review , own a 22' RX350 L , very comfortable and good as long as you really don't need the third row (3rd row is Non-existent/no space) however the vehicle within itself is really nice. Cargo room is great and I had 5 people for a trip and we did great (about an hour drive each way). Good on fuel; just a smooth operator all the way around.
Oh I agree with you regarding the track-pad , use it all the time and it works.
Excellent job my friend it really continues to be one of my most favorite modern Luxury SUVs
The vehicle just does what it is supposed to do.
For years I’ve seen the RX getting bashed as being boring by the internet warriors out there, but the strong sales figures speak for itself. The RX is a great car for everyday people.
Thanks for the review, and for pointing out the practical aspects of what real world buyers actually look for.
Yea my friend most journalists completely disregard or just give an unfair assesment on many Japanese cars. Thanks for stopping by and for appreicating this real world perspecitve.
I have used 2013 lexus rx 350
2 yrs and half since i have it last 2020
No problems for me.still running the same
I just change tires, brake pad and rotors
Air filters cabin filters change oil thats it
Carwash
@@marcianoperez6640 you made a great choice
Rx350 is pretty much universally praised and my point is backed by the sales numbers.
I love the look of this vehicle, it says may the force be with you
Great Lexus review as always.
Thanks Peter
I like the Birch / off white color interior, like you had in video, but when I found a used listings with it the Birch was only on the center of the seats and it black vs matching Birch headliner and door panels. Was the one you were driving a specially equipped Birch interior or do you know if the used one I was seeing some non-standard setup?
I love that they’ve added the fog lights back as standard on all 2022 RX’s (I think 🤔) - even if only for the final year of this generation 😢. The vehicle looks a lot nicer and finished with fog lights.
Unfortunately, I’ve started seeing 2022’s without fog lights. Even Lexus dealer couldn’t explain…🤔. Lexus makes too many things optional IMO. …Makes it a bit frustrating when shopping for pre-owned vehicle 🤨🙃.
My second Lexus. This is without a doubt the sweetest highway cruiser ever. So quiet and smooth. Can’t imagine driving anything else.
I’m looking to get a dash cam for my 2022 rx350 Fsport front and rear but I don’t want to mess up any wiring, what would be the best dash cam?
I have driven the 2021 RX 350 and i was truly impressed wit the handling.
Yea my friend 2020 and up RX def handle great for what it is
Is it too late to find a new one at the dealer now? I checked online with 10 dealers in northern California but they don't list any.
We now need a review for lexus RX L 450H with captain seats. A good comparison would to compare Premium Sport vs Takumi model. Takumi has features such as adaptive variable suspension.
Such a great video I am looking for an suv and want dependency
What is the lens on windshield connected to the rear view mirror on the 2022 Lexus RX 350 Fsport?
Now that we are into 2024 in the used marketplace do you still think the 2022 rx 450h is not worth any extra it might cost over the 350 option?
Can the ml audio system be installed aftermarket if you buy used? I’m assuming so but wondering would it be worth it…
I agree, no need to touch the screen while driving, i like the touchpad, no need for me to lean forward and play with the touchscreen. Lexus is very greedy on certain thing, they really force you to buy more and pay for more. It already a luxury car, it should not have too much options.
Just bought Lexus rx450h and I’m beginning to think it’s the smartest move and won’t want to get anything else again. It’s so relaxing.
So happy bought this RX f sport at the year end sale of 2022 with the v6. Great discounts I got.
Nice work mate
Thank you my friend, currently spending all night and day to get that G90 vid out it’s like an hour long 😂
@@MeynMotorGroup Awesome I honestly can't wait.
I actually like this model and the 2023. Crazy expensive though! I'll buy used.
Yea I don’t mind the 2023 looks good
The new RX no longer comes with a V6 but has a turbo four banger. It consumes less fuel BUT it requires premium. The old V6 runs on regular. I would prefer the old V6. Waiting for a good deal but it's hard as the RX remains a popular choice
They should never changed the 2022 model rx450h, and many brands destroy theyr comfort an the range for electric cars with bigger wheels, I will never destroy a familycar by too big wheels. Tanks for your great reviews😊.
Does Lexus brought 3row in 2023 model?
Excellent content. Nothing tops a Lexus.
Well there’s certainly many cars that will “top” Lexus but I know what you mean it’s a good product that deserves far more credit than what most people give 👍
Anything tops Lexus… 😂.
Lexus is now as bad as infiniti
@@naveenthemachine the most reliable luxury brand still and it’s not even close.
@@gregpst77 genesis is slowly encroaching on Lexus reliability
And Lexus reliability is not what it used to be
@@naveenthemachine based on what? Lexus IS #1 in reliability of any brand, luxury or not and hasn’t fallen off. All there cars can still go over 300k and have the nicest looking older vehicles because they do a better job with their paint, among other things. There are no actual facts to support what you claim.
I will wait for The 2022 RX350 V6 NA used because I still love the power of V6 NA engine. I like the new design of 2023 model but I still prefer V6 engine . LOL
I think that the not-so-positive reviews for the RX are generally from the lacking understanding as to where to really compare this vehicle to, which is really in the middle of the compact and midsize luxury crossover segment. Apart from the Lincoln Nautilus, Cadillac XT5, and possibly the Genesis GV80 and Range Rover Velar, I can't see any other direct competitors for the RX and within that competitive set, I think the Lexus excels.
Outgoing model isn't based on the TNGA-K platform yet but I get your point. With vehicles on TNGA platform regarded to offer better driving dynamics than their previous generations, I expect the upcoming RX to be the same. Shame that the glorious 3.5 V6 will be no more though.
Yes my friend you’re def right very misunderstood never gets the chance it deserves.
And yes you are also right I apologize for misspeaking this generation of the RX was still built on the “K” platform and hadn’t transitioned over to the global platform quite yet. I’m sure the new RX will be a fine machine but smooth V6 will certainly be missed. Thanks again for stopping by
Really a nice sporty looking vehicle bro watching now 😎🤝
Thanks bro words can’t express how much I appreciate your support 👍
@@MeynMotorGroup No problem now ima binge watch your videos starting tomorrow after work too and u saying it’s not far from a Audi in the Lexus sporty feel really saying something about Lexus been waiting for it and u finally got a chance to compare this Lexus to a German rival so cool bro 😎 and Thanx for all your Great videos CANT wait to catch up from the ones I missed watching 🤝👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks bro yea people are really sleeping on that Lexus driving quality glad I could make the comparison. God Bless you brother
@@MeynMotorGroup Not a surprise bro always some Lexus haters German Badge snobs lol thanx bro you too God Bless you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🤝😎👍🏾👍🏾
I think some people make the mistake of comparing the RX to the GV80, which is at least 10K more. They are also two very different vehicles with different target audiences.
Well it depends on the model right. A base model GV80 would be $10k less than a fully loaded RX350. They can compete since they are in the same price category depending on spec.
I only love Lexus cars end of story because of great reliability and I love that
Kev, do u still keep in touch with mark from savagegeese?
Hello my friend, I am only aquainted with the gentleman I do not have a personal relationship with the man. But please support him and def check out his reviews, Mark & his co-host Jack are one of the few people in this industry that truly have a good understanding on what makes a car great. They have discernment and they are always objective.
Is lease companion only going to do new cars or do they cover used as well?
New cars only
The 2022 interior looks much better than the new one even tho it’s a little older it looks more luxury
I’m buying one this month. Would you buy the 350 or the 450? Or are they both good options?
I would def get the 350 but in our case we bought from LC so they had a much larger discount on the 350. If you’re actually just buying from a Local dealer and they have both available at just MSRP then I would maybe go with the 450h. Both are truly good options.
@@MeynMotorGroup Thank you!
Get this last generation of the RX while you can. Re-sale value in 5-15 years will still be high!
Ehh idk hindsight is always going to be 20/20 we’ll have to watch and see
I'm getting better gas miles from my 05 RX 300, she's still smooth and everything works too! I disagree entirely the everything about the Q5 is better, Lexus build a way better car having worked on both there is no comparison and the Q5 will be long gone while the RX is still rolling on, to give an example of how good Lexus cars are built imagine that the first RUclips Video was uploaded in 2005 that's when my car was first registered and it still drives like new everything is original never had a spanner on it, I never check the oil or the water because every time I do its spot on so just got bored with that lol
Kevin, would you plz explain that steering wheel? my new ES350 has that steering wheel & it's sooo cheap feeling!! kinda like a great big featherweight puffy foam rubber...... it's like a fake steering wheel, why would LEXUS put that in expensive cars ? thank you!
I liked it 😅😂 but I do know it’s the base steering wheel. I know that the Luxury models will come with a wood grain wheel but idk I like the plush feel of the full leather one they wanted to make it easy to maneuver I guess by making it feel light
Thank u!
I am so unsure about buying the new RX, currently have a 2016 with the v6. Disappointed its going away
Had this for 3 years and was a major disappointment. I’m not sure if it was engine mount or transmission mount, but there’s really annoying vibration coming through steering wheel and gas pedal while stopped.
I’m sorry to hear that, was the dealership never able to find/fix the issue?
Would you upgrade to this coming from a 2021 4Runner?
As someone who owns both I would say that it depends. The 4 Runner is bigger and a true SUV. If youre looking to upgrade I would get either the GX or the LX.
@@ppistol09 Thank you.
Hard to argue the RX. I guess they are polarizing as far as looks. The criticism of the grill is subjective, but AFTER Lexus, it seems to me that everybody went big grills. I love both of mine, but again, to me the interiors are the turn on. The 3.5 is just excellent. The only dig on Lexus to me is that unless you pay the price for the luxury and lighting packages they just don't look and or feel special. If you load it up, they really are an incredible vehicle albeit expensive. In totality, the Lexus to me, feels luxurious and the opposite of boring, they can be compared to Toyota, which are great vehicles, but to say Lexus is a dressed up Toyota is an inability to understand the Japanese version of luxury, I LOVE their interpretation.
Same my friend Lexus interpretation of luxury is certainly unlike any other manufacturer and I appreciate that. I like the grill and the engine is great. I agree $60k plus is when you start getting an amazing RX but that is getting up there.. I think it’s worth it 😅
You can't take with you young brother.
For me depends on the color how good they look.
I have a 2022 450h and absolutely love that car.
Tire noise is from the Bridgestone tires, Michelin tires are quiet.
These are literally Michelin all season tires
@@MeynMotorGroup most of 22 RX’s were shipped with Bridgestone Tires . I own a 22 RX dealer switched out Bridgestones for Michelins. Michelins are not perfect but are much quieter than the Bridgestones . Jmop
I had no idea it requires 91+ Octane. I have been putting 87 octane.
Hum Try the Acura touch pad then you will wish you had the touch screen as a back up, I know I had one. It's a nightmare.
come on, RX 350 is a class up from Q5, especially in terms of body size.
Same price
The RX is always a great choice. However if you don’t need an SUV, I think the ES is a better buy.
The dash and overall interior of the ES certainly feels more modern that the RX.
I agree ES is a much better luxury product, ES300h is super smooth and gets 40 mpg def my choice
ES is Fwd all you need is little rain and wheels are spinning AWD is a must with V6 engine
Need all wheel drive. Indiana
If use waze with Apple you will have a didgital speedometer in the upper right
Heads up display has digital speedometer also.
How is the Lexus RX compared to the Genesis suv?
The Genesis was pretty much better in every way the one thing I didn’t like about the 2021 GV80 I tested was the slightly firm ride over certain types of pavement. I’m sure they revised the suspension to feel much better for the 2023 GV80. I heard GV70 is also great.
Genesis beats Lexus period
So that 2023 RX? Forget it. The gv80 threw it in the garbage before the RX embargo lifts
Just bought my 2022 Lexus rx 350, I could of bought a 2024 although I do NOT want a turbo engine.
I do like Lexus RX but I have already got a GS. Also, I prefer BMW X5 more cuz it is a bit sportier.
GS is amazing
@@MeynMotorGroup It's a pity that GS is discontinued.
All hail algorhythm 🙌🏻 😂
If you like and want the RX? I think you can do nothing wrong to buy one, it´s a good midsize SUV with a fair price i think. Thank you Kevin.
Yea my friend solid buy for the class I think the improvements from 2020 and up really made it handle/drive much better than before
@@MeynMotorGroup yes 😃👍
I hate seen the 2023 rx the front bumper looks like a dolphins head and it looks kinda low on the ground but since it has 4 cylinders gas I don’t know yet cause those horsepower is kinda low
Great car but 20 ish mpg in todays world is not great is it - my own threshold is 30 and for a lot of people today even that is too low
Most cars nowadays have ridiculous grille, Lexus grille is not out of this world anymore. Audi grille is also very large but doesn't look better than Lexus.
I like
My options are how i can save some money , and i believe all the year models models could get u a better discounts , and no freaking way to spend a 60k for any suv .. i always stick under max 50k ..
Well people spend 360k on some SUVs everyone has a different budget. RX for 50k is pretty worthless just a base model with no options
👊🏾👍🏾👍🏾
The insurance cost on this car ios a huge turnoff. A porsche cayenne cost half as much per year.
You have to specify where you’re from and how old you are. Insurance costs are different everywhere and with different companies and coverages so much that goes into it. It’s like $100 a month for us just a normal cost.
@@MeynMotorGroup Here is quick comparison. I pay 2700 for a 2017 porsche cayenne, they quoted me 4600 on a 2022 lexus RX. I immediately changed my mind.. I do live in a big city, but my cars are always in the garage, but those scamming insurance companies don't care.
@@Dramquart I have a 2015 Honda Accord and a new 2022 RX350. Total insurance price is ~760/half year.
@@kenblock7350 Damn, you must live somewhere relatively safe. Plus in Canadian dollars it'll increase alot
Bro, let's keep it real. These are boring cars to drive. Lexus gives you what they are best known for: comfortable, reliable vehicles without any pretense of performance or excitement. I have never heard anyone describe their Lexus as exciting or exhilarating. With Lexus you sacrifice that for reliability. Despite all this I would still choose a Lexus over the German competition. But I am also looking at Genesis.
Have you driven a new German car my friend?
I have just bought this exact vehicle two weeks ago after trading in a Nissan Maxima that was fully loaded. I hate to admit I feel like my Lexus is a tin can. I bought it because I'm a responsible adult, but I have seriously struggled with going to trade it in on the Genesis. I test drove them both, and they still have decent reliability... I may have to switch
I love mine Except the computer has never worked properly. I have had it the sop at least 30 times. I’m now working on a buy back from Lexus

Yo bro
Hey brother thanks for dropping in on this Lex review
@@MeynMotorGroup Good morning No problem bro 🤝😎👍🏾👍🏾
I bought one with 4K miles on it. I traded my 2021 Toyota highlander in. I hate the infotainment system in this car. I don’t understand why car manufacturers put a mouse in the car to access certain features. My brothers Mercedes S63 had the same thing. I love the 6 cylinder and the ride but disappointed with the infotainment system and screen. My Highlander was much better. I expect a newer model to have some upgrades to correct the flaws
So just put 2006 LS430 in the shop for the timing belt service. I was provided a 2023 RX350 as a loaner. I'm greatly disappointed. The 4 cylinder noise, wind noise, and cramped interior (when compared to my LS) is surprising for a vehicle that costs so much. Is it possible to buy a new lexus/genesis under $65k to match the ride, quietness , and refinement of the LS430?
Honestly it’s very hard my friend quality has tanked across the board maybe a 2023 GX 460 and ES 350/ES 300h but that’s it
@@MeynMotorGroup when I go to pick up my car I will ask to test drive luxury ES300h if they have one. Have a feeling the prices of last RX with V6 are going to stay high, I can see it becoming the SUV version of the GS460. Unicorn status lol.
@@ossito yea it’s already happened, 2018-2022 models are very pricey right now much more expensive than an Acura MDX. I will say some of those previous gen RXs were junk too, there is a ton of discrepancies within new and used cars especially Lexus I’ve noticed. I’ve driven 2016 GS 350s with 40k miles that felt like trash and 2013 GS with 250k miles that felt flawless. All over the place. ES should be good never had a bad experience with one
all the grills are butt ugly. front end really strange
I'd love to buy this, but i can;t afford to insure this vehicle. it;s the most stolen vehicle in my city.
It's become to bloated from a driver's perspective. It lumbers more than it drives lithely. It need to go on a diet.
