  • Lobaugh introduced the D&H Challenger just before WWII, and only a few were ever made. The model shown here was purchased at auction from the estate of Woody Mathews, who was known to have owned it. The origin of the double-motor setup, which is not stock, is unknown. During roller tests, series wiring seemed to provide smoother low-speed operation for the two motors when compared to parallel wiring. Both series and parallel wiring are further investigated by the chassis layout tests shown here.

Hi Mr. Bill -- I have been to MB but not in years. Do you go to the January O-scale swap meet in Atlanta? My brother lives there and helps put on the meet. Jim

@@ParadocsMusic I won’t be down there full-time until about September 3 or fourth we’re bringing our last load of furniture from Illinois to North Myrtle Beach.
I do know there’s a big model Train Club in a mall in a place called Grand Strand but when I was down there a year ago when my wife and I bought a house they. They weren’t allowing any visitors because of the Covid. I’m hoping after we get settled in after a week or two I’m gonna go over there and see if I can join that club. trouble is it’s O Scale 3 Rail that’s the only bad thing about it, at least they have HO and N scale.
