Hello Everyone, In this video I have shown how you can remotely access your Mac from Windows. Comment below if you have any question. #mac #windows #remote
While this works when i vnc [ using UltraVnc or RealVnc ] from my windows 11 to macOS monterey it is so slow that its unusable, that's over a 200Mbs home wifi connection. Also the mouse pointer is just a little square not the context relevant mouse pointers. What might i have overlooked with enabling this seemingly straight forward setup to end up with this result vs what you show in video that looks responsive and replicates a native macOS console interaction over the remote desktop session?
These are the settings I'm currently using on UltraVnc. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1m5rzmeUajBdTbPfkFytpLdexJQ_cVxQC?usp=sharing Before connecting to a remote mac, you may need to adjust your settings depending on your CPU, bandwidth & display resolution.
@@techxtime thanks for the screen grabs of settings that make things work on your setup. On my side a clean install of ultravnc has those encoder | mouse and keyboard and display settings configured as the default. I've tried realvnc, tigervnc and ultravnc and get same sluggish unusable connection and poor to none contextual mouse pointer representation in all three cases. I also don't get what you experience with other remote desktop protocols like msft rdp. vmware blast, exceed turbox used in the windows and linux world where the remote desktop connection window scales the remote desktop size to whatever size your local host window is sized to. I must be overlooking something really obvious about this setup if it just works, and works great, for others trying to remote desktop connect from current windows 11 to current macos monterey.
Go with 8 colors instead of full colors & change display resolution to 720p. This should improve the speed at least. Also lower the screen resolution of your macbook. I used a few of the vnc clients you mentioned. Those work more or less the same. Lastly, you can try teamviewer to see if the contextual mouse pointer representation is working or not.
