Lol.. the failure point is the tone wheel bolts back off/shred… after all the research I went with a stock wheel (billet wheels has failures to) and welded with red locktite… I believe DCR even puts silicone between wheel and crank for vibration protection as well… not many of us rev 8k +
Josh Tinajero pretty cheap. Just bearings..new piston rings.. head gasket.. arp head studs.. lookin at like 250$ + machine shop cost for your head to be decked/cleaned/valve seals at minimum
@@boostorbust7604 That is not bad at all.. I got a 2005 and just did the timing belt, water pump, all solid mounts, new boost gage, boost controller, down pipe, fuel pump, got a new waste gate cause I'm still having boosting issues
@@boostorbust7604 Nah.. not boosting enough.. I'm stuck at maybe 5-7psi and sometimes it'll go to 10 but slowly drop.. I even got the solenoid replaced. I've checked all vacuum hoses and none look torn.. My issue is that I can't floor the gas pedal.. I have to ease into it.. if I floor it.. the car starts like jerking or like choking

Very similar to my build. I went with Wiseco pistons and Manley Rods though. Great video. Thoroughly enjoyed watching.
Buy a dial bore gauge, looks like you have everything else figured, so long as hot and cold doest break your solder bond
Do the new rods weight the same as old ones. You know, crank bobbit weight same as crank balance
Nothing listed for weight on modern, motor was 100% balanced before this build. Only thing I changed was the rods
Welding the wheel bolts you mentioned won't change the balance????
