Apparently hyperlinks don't work on RUclips. Anyway I just went on Amazon and ordered a motor from Carolina tarps. I got a late duty 700 watt one they're designed to roll tarps on a dump truck but they work great for this too.

How do you isolate the motor from the blower to isolate it from the body ground

Do you know of a joystick that would be in place of the switch. Asking because I want to do this project with an electric actuator for the shoot deflector. Up/down for that and left/right for the directional motor

I can't post links in here, on Amazon, search for "Baomain Monolever Joystick Switch HKA1-41Z04".
It's a single-pole switch though (not double-pole), so you can't reverse the polarity at the switch, so you will need 2 of these "Forward and Reverse Relay Module for Motor/Linear Actuator, Reversing Relay Module " from Amazon, 1 for Up/Down, 1 for Left/Right.
Alternatively, so could use 4 automotive relays, 2 for U/D, and 2 for L/R, and google search for "reverse polarity relay diagram" for how to wire each pair of relays.
The reason for the relays is that because the switch only open/close the circuit, it would always send the same polarity, so the motor would always spin the same way.

What electric motor did you use?

So I went online on Amazon actually. And I just looked up a tarp motor for rolling tarps on like a dump truck. And then I just matched the shaft size so I could get the right one. It was from Carolina tarps.

Hello Larry, I too am in Maine.... up beside Fryeburg. Sick of the snow yet?
I love this idea but when i search EBAY with what you have listed I don't find any motors with a through hole for the shaft.
Do you have an actual part number or model number, something I can do an internet search for?
    Thanks and think Spring!

I'LL find it and provide link.

@@larryjewett6990 I think I sent you a PM on facebook. I searched EBAY and found nothing like this motor so a brand or model number would allow me to look other places beside EBAY. The link would be good too because maybe they relisted some and the search just isn't finding it. Thanks again, Guy

I sent a message to the Ebay seller to see if he has more or has source information. There are some with shafts in the gearbox. You could probably use one of those if you created a coupler with a bolt to the shaft. Will let you know what I find. 207-212-9632 text or call. Thanks

Ebay. You need to just do an internet search and it is hit or miss.

How does the electric motor turn the inserted bolt?

    • @larryjewett6990

Sorry late response. I drilled through it and inserted a bolt at the lower location and pin in the upper position.

I would appreciate if you can share your worm drive motor brand from Ebay? And rocker switch brand too.

    • @larryjewett6990
      @larryjewett6990  5 лет назад

It doesn't have a name on it. I messaged the seller and he doesn't have any more at this time. I recommend that you search the internet for something similar. I have noticed some with a shaft instead of a hole. It would be easy to make a coupler. Sorry.

I will check the rocker switch brand tommorow night when I get home.

was that window regulator for a particular vehicle? That might answer some of the viewers question as to what type of motor you are using.
I would have liked to see how fast 150 RPM rotates the chute, please add another video showing your chute rotation device in operation.

I think it is too big to be a window regulator. I'll take a video this afternoon.

I have added another video entitled "3 point hitch snowblower chute rotator in action" . I couldn't figure out how to add it to these comments.
