Nicely done. I have the same setup on my 44 inch Berco blower with a window motor from a car. A gear was already on my motor and the previous owner of the blower had welded a sprocket from a dirt bike to the bottom of the chute. The teeth don't mesh very well and if I was to redo it I would buy gears with matching teeth. It works great how it is but the chute wobbles and shakes a bit as it goes around. I call it the "self cleaning option"...lol.
1:58 even easier- just keep the pins in the attachment points. 2:45 The chute rotator should have way more friction, I don't know why no manufacturer thinks of that. I wrapped an old bike inner tube around the crank which mostly solves it. Great job though, I wish I had the time to do this myself!
Why can’t you put a motor in place of the current handle? Would do the same as original equipment as long as the motor can run both directions like a small winch motor?
This is awesome. Love the 3D print you did for the bracket. Did the mount take the abuse of last winter? Was it difficult to get the 3D print set up? There’s a tutorial I would like to see! Would it be possible to get a copy of the CCV file to print? Really nice work! Grateful for any information you provide.
check out the vid on my other channel. I cover a bunch of it there: ruclips.net/video/Fg1lxykHNtY/видео.html Everything is holding up great. No issues and have replaced nothing so far
I've been studying many designs for my 44 inch John Deere and must say that yours is, by far, the most professional. 🏆

Thx, it's such a joy to hit the button and adjust. I find I repoint the chute 5x more often than I did when it was manual
Fantastic design, well done.
Thx!

thx! I do sell a kit that's pretty much bolt-on if you're interested
Toro used a motor on some of their units, it has a hex shaft output, easy to weld an old socket on and slide the shaft in.
