I appreciate the tone of this video being less so to not save for Miyabi, but more so not for players to limit themselves on what to grab for the sake of the future. The longer they take the more the character will be immediately irrelevant as more features and story content gets released. Look at any base 5* on Genshin or Honkai, and even some early limited banner 5*... Completely useless, regardless of how OP they were at launch or in the lore
OR Mihoyo pulls one of their idiotic "derp" moments like they did with Zhong Li from genshin and completely water down a character that was portrayed in the game as being god-tier and piss off the playerbase. I'm not saying I want them to, but don't set your expectations too high. We have no clue what her kit will be.
We dont know when she's coming, we dont know what role she will play, who she needs, if her w engine is necessary to go for vs ftp a or S rank alternatives, if her mindscapes are really worth. People are holding all their pulls and missing out on pulling characters to complete 2 teams and progress content. If i have the choice between an M6 rank 5 sig w engine myabi and pulling one copy of zhu, jane, seth and burnice i would take the latter cause then i would have 2 complete teams.
If she is a support? We pull. If she is a tank? We pull....If she is a dps? We pull...If she is anomaly? We still pull. A rank? We pull. Needs W engine? We pull. Needs copies? We pull...Needs certain characters? We pull for them too. Don't try to convince the Miyabi cult to strain away from the mission it will not work
I was saving for Miyabi, but as I saw that it was going to be some time before she came out, I've decided to pull on some others. Jane was the big one for me and I couldn't be happier to have her. She's a crazy fun, crazy powerful character. Honestly, if they make Miyabi like her except for Ice, I'd be in heaven. I have plenty of time to restore my stock of polychrome before there's even a chance they start whispering about her.
Same! I was saving for her, but then Jane dropped and so did my jaw. There is no universe where I don't pull for Jane. She's SO fun, so strong, and I love everything about her. An ice Jane would be incredible! Or any other element, honestly.

Miyabi is the Ayaka of ZZZ. Ayaka was in the beta for Genshin. She was in multiple CBT stages, actually, and was largely complete in that beta. The Ayaka we got in the main game was finished more or less two years before she was rollable. That bears repeating: TWO YEARS. Ayaka in her effectively finished state, was in CBT 1, which was roughly a year before 1.0, and Ayaka did not officially release until very late July 2021 with 2.0, a little under a year later. Day 1 Ayaka Mains were saving for almost a year before they got her. We know there is a senior dev in Mihoyo that really likes Vergil (his work PC's wallpaper is Vergil's DMC5 portrait, he has a Vergil figurine at his desk, and he even has the fucking meme plastic chair in the office ffs), so it is very likely that said dev either developed it himself as a passion project, or pressured another dev to do it in his stead. Saving now is a risky gamble that may not pay out for months, if not years. If you're willing to go in for that, don't assume she'll be in 1.4 or even 1.5. Assume you're not seeing her until AT LEAST the anniversary.

Not a Miyabi cultist, but im going to keep saving, because even if i have more then enough for the next character i want, its not gonna be too long before there's another character i want, and another, and another.
I do think that we could see Miyabi as an anomoly unit, especially when we consider that at some point we'll start to get rerun banners, and the devs would likely want there to be a good reason for players to pull for Ellen on her rerun. If Miyabi and Ellen are directly competing as an ice attack unit, I feel like Ellen would somewhat take a back seat to the newer (and in some ways cooler) Miyabi. Peace and Love Gamers!
I think so too, especially since Yanagi seems to be an off field anomaly dps (based on the new anomaly set next patch). Unless Yanagi is meant to be played with Haramusa and Jane.
I think void hunters are going to be similar to Emanators in HSR or Archons in Genshin. Miyabi will probably be that character for 1.x so I think she will be meta and very hyped for a reason.
Im glad soneone else sensible talked about this, i felt the Miyabi cult were getting kinda extreme and insane, and im a miyabi stand as well, but personally i dont wanna gimp my experience with this game never pulling for anyone, theres other characters besides miyabi that i really like, i agree 100% i enjoy this game not just for miyabi, and tbh, im sure im in the minorty of fambase who are fans of solider 11, i cant wait for her faction, you know they're going to be the true badasses,plus im dying to know the connection between her and anby
I mean, I have zhu and Jane with weapon. I lost 2 50/50, and I still have 160 pulls left. People can pull and still have enough for Miyabi. Just.. choose wisely? pull for what you like. I dont think you like the same amount on every character. Good luck anyway!

thx for the reminder that the game is meant to be fun ❤ when i first started the game i wanted to try saving until hard pity for if i lose the 50/50, then i realized that it also meant i wouldn't get any of the fun characters i wanted. so i bit the bullet and let myself pull, and i think i'm enjoying the game more for it :)
I like that the video is basically: don't forget to have fun, guys! I'm of the same mind about this: Miyabi, lore-wise, is easily the strongest character we've met so far, so it only makes sense for her to be the last of the currently-known characters to become playable, maybe even the last character before a version 2.0. By saving up for her for so long, I worry that people are setting themselves up for disappointment when their m6 Miyabi doesn't get them auto S-ranks in Shiyu because they don't have a proper 2nd team.
Still gonna go for Caesar and start saving up for Miyabi afterward. I always preffer effieciency over designs, so getting more multi purpose units for your account is always better than blindly chasing a design we don't even know when it's dropping. Don't me wrong, I'm also hyped for Miyabi, but that doesn't mean other characters don't deserve your attention or your pulls. I know this sounds crazy, but even meta characters vastly contribute to your fun, because they help you a ton with clearing the hard content WHILE having a good design ANYWAY. But at the end of the day, you do you~✌Play responsibly and have fun!
I m planning to do as you said. I started playing on 1.1 Qingyi banner and now I have Jane. Already failed 50/50 with Kolaeda and waiting to pull Caesar with 70 Pulls. Then I'm gonna pull Nicole and Lucy in Burnice banner till I got C6 or M6. If I get Burnice, that's a jackpot. If I fail, it's gonna be a perfect timing for Miyabi. I might reconsider about that if Lighter come out with a meta kit but right now I believe My roadmap is already perfect for Miyabi.
Idk why people are so stoked for miyabi. I get she was super badass in that cutscene, but looks wise, she is the least good looking female character of any of the other ones so far in the game. Yanagi is way better looking, so are Jane, Ellen, Burnace, Caesar and almost everyone else.
ok I'm a level 30 account in a week, I'm also fascinated by Myabi's cinematics. but I also saw the online gameplay and to be honest it didn't make that much of an impression on me, let's add the fact that the fanservice with her is practically non-existent, I don't know, this game gives me great impressions but the characters that really convince me are few. Currently I'm ecstatic about Jane Doe she has a gameplay that is an extreme masterpiece, really fun she impressed me and basically only she is making me play this game, she has everything I need crazy animations, fun gameplay and healthy fanservice. I can't wait to know more about Myabi, I'm not the type to get fixated on a character and have to take it just because it becomes a simp, I need various feedback that is currently missing 🤔
Miyabi is a way for people to save. This is healthy. Support and love them. Although they’re missing out on Jane/Seth, who are amazing. Much more fun than any other play style. But it’s good for people to be strong.
As a proud Ex-Member of the "Saving for Ayaka" cult, i completely understand the Miyabi wanters and i think it's perfectly fine to save for her; there is zero chance of her not being Overpowered because the playerbase would riot and force hoyo to buff her.
as a day 1, m6 miyabi saver with 330 pulls saved so far, didn’t know there was a cult ahaha - I’ve been able to fully clear all the endgame content running neko, piper, luci, and anton, anby nicole, koleda and Ben are benched until I get soldier from standard of which I’m at 215 pulls so not too far from the free character, yes not having ice and ether team at times is painful but it’s honestly not that bad
yeah I am going to be one of those people saving. But I am not saving for Miyabi. It's just that I don't particularly feel the need or the want to pull as of now. I am enjoying the game with all the A ranks and as a F2P, I want to really pull for the character I REALLY like. Maybe it's just my fetish way of enjoying the game but when I see my accumulated polychrom, I felt an indescribably sense of enjoyment and accomplishment (yep my eyes are as wild as those goblin in LotR now haha).
Don't forget that they might also do what NEPS did and for Section 6 release 3 Agents in a batch(being 2 S-Ranks and 1 A-Rank), atm theres ALOT of S-Ranks in comparison to the game. With alot of missing role/element mix for both A/S ranks. Most likely, we'll get 1 banner from S6 with a A-Rank+S-Rank due to the Hollow Zero stories and Nirvahna/Garden content that expanded in 1.1, but after that we'll get SDF with Soldier 11s faction finally getting some love. We got teased with the mysterious sniper "Trigger", and as we delve into the OuterRing with 1.2, we might start dealing with Rebels and the Special Defence Force.
What I’ve gotten from this, I need 28k polychrome to guarantee one copy of Miyabi. So if I want 6 copies, I need to save 168k. Or I will need to whale to get M6 Miyabi. But then I also need her weapon and 4 extra copies of that weapon. So I’ll need at least 300k polychrome saved up by 1.4
Honestly as an Ellen enjoyer i wouldnt care if she got power crept. That's just how Gachas work. I'll still enjoy her. Let the Miyabi waiters continue to save. It'll be so worth it when she comes up ans comes home. I'll just continue to pull Ellen Mindscape's to make her stronger cause i love my Shark Girl that much. I think miyabi will be fire type, like JUST LOOK AT HER 1. Her spirit/wisp burns with blue flames 2. When she's attacking, her sword burns with blue flames 3. Also when she's attacking, her HAIR burns with blue flames Aside from when she was released on closed beta, theres no sign whatsoever for miyabi to be another ice type unit
ALG talking the real talk. I think the point about power-creeping Ellen, the first limited agent ever, is the key one. It's a pretty strong implication that Miyabi will be an Attack class character. Even without considering fans thirsting for Miyabi post-ZZZ release (or post CBT, when she first showed up), there were good reasons to delay her debut. Given that Ellen was the first limited agent and an Ice Attack type, it makes perfect sense that they would space out the release of the NEXT Ice Attack type pretty far down the line. This is further supported by her role in the story, since Section Six is positioned as an elite group and she is their leader. You don't debut the best of the best early in the roster, because every agent that follows will seem like a me-too wannabe and compare unfavorably, even if the agent is objectively strong, like Jane. Who would pull Jane if she was in the patch following Miyabi? Now all that said, I would not be surprised if we got thrown a curve-ball with Miyabi's debut, like she's the first dual-class agent or a new Attribute type (Spirit energy?) or maybe a mixed Attribute type, like Ice/Electric. Again, to reinforce her best of the best role. They'd use her to showcase a new mechanic, kind of like how they are using Caesar/Burnice to showcase the new disc drives.
My tinfoil hat theory is that Miyabi will be a new element type in her release form that we don't have in the game yet (spirit or ghost, maybe?). That way she could be a top tier/broken dps but wouldn't necessarily feel like Ellen power creep and would bring in some potential new element interactions.

Personally I didn't find any banner appealing this far including the next ones, so I can totally understand people perma-saving for the one thing they're interested in. Such a fatal flaw for a gacha, and it never happened to me before, but luckily for the devs most people don't share my view.
@@Salmon_Toastie I really like lucy with the boars, and piper is kinda cool despite not playing very well, but the rest I also don't vibe with. I like the belobog gang the most, the rest really doesn't impress me aside from Jane and Seth gameplay feeling the best imo.

@@Salmon_Toastie I actually never had a honey moon phase for this game, since the beginning I complain about most things and the only things I can say they have are style and untapped potential. I'm pushing the dailies in case they figure out how to improve the game, and Jane is a huge step in the right direction gameplay-wise, but if they hold back Miyabi too long with nothing else looking interesting on the way I'll probably have quit out of boredom.
In all seriousness, Im gonna skip the current pair of S-ranks not just b/c Fox Lady looms in the future. Ive managed to grab all S-ranks so far as a low spend, mostly via luck, but that still means whoever comes next I cant 100% know I'll get them. Miyabi is probably soon, but it could be a new faction for all we know that's also super cool. Also, frankly, while I adore the new crew, I just prefer the vibe of NEPS (Who has my best girl Qingyi) and Ellen. So I'm okay passing, since of the bikers, Lucy is actually my fav and I already have her.
And Drip Marketing Will Be Very Soon as well! Let's say Miyabi gets Drip Marketing for 1.4, That means you can save every last Polychrome in 1.3 for her!

EVERY SINGLE POLYCHROME I MAKE FROM HERE ON FORTH WILL BE USED FOR MIYABI. THERE IS NO RETREAT BROTHERS. WE MUST HOLD STRONG AGAINST THESE ANTI MIYABIERS.
The point is that people save for Miyabi and her crew. Right now the only one worth pulling for, in my opinion, was Jane, which is what I did but otherwise I am absolutely preparing for a full built Miyabi-team, which will most likely include one or two of the incoming team-members.
If Miyabi is an anomaly unit, she's gonna be a SUPER SHATTER character, well not really super but she would probably play around Shatter to deal massive damage to enemy units.
I didn't know I was part of the cult but it does make sense. Miyabi is the only character on my mind since day 1. I didn't like Ellen's design so I skipped her for Miyabi. The only S rank dps I got on my account is Jane, and she's amazing. But I definitely hope to see the same result from Miyabi when she eventually comes into the game. As for pulling for other characters, you have point. No reason not to when you go over 20k polys. Maybe I'll try getting Caesar or Burnice. I have no plans on either right now. But Burnice's has Lucy and I also need Piper copies so... it's rough.
If you're a light spender on the daily bonus poly/primo/jade thing, and also as long as you don't empty your savings right before, if you start saving right as the drip marketing drops you can get that character. It's right on the edge though, so if you spent much after the start of the second half of the current banner it'll be a gamble.
Unironically what happened to me because I skipped both Zhu Yuan and Ellen. I was not having a lot of fun and stopped using a lot of my energy/battery. But I am stubborn and still consider I did the right thing for my account, as having Jane and m6 Seth really turned things around for my enjoyment. Whether I will do the same for Harumasa and Miyabi...well, I will keep this video in mind. But I WILL prioritize what is fun for me, as we all should
Here's my hot take/prediction: I think Miyabi will either be electric OR fire attack. She was ice in the beta, but looking at her cutscenes now, I can't see the "ice" aspect. Her team members seem to be electric (not that it matters that much), and it would avoid stepping on Ellen's toes very much. I do think that Ice/Anomaly is the most likely pairing if she stays as ice, however, and Soukaku being ice would make Soukaku a good support for her, so I get why that's the common opinion.
Fire would be weird given we just got a Fire Anomaly and Fire Attacker, and Elec would also be a little overkill. We already have a lot of elec agents, 2 more coming with Yanagi and Harusama. And it would leave no one for Soukaku to properly support within her own faction. Not saying it can't happen though, guess we'll see.
I've watched her cutscene a bajillion times, and it absolutely looks like fire. Blue colored spirit-fire is a common thing, like Kaga from Azur Lane for example. I still kinda hope she's ice, but I'm happy with anything
I call your hot take and raise you a crack-pot theory: Miyabi will introduce a new Attribute: Spirit type. It looks like fire but acts like ice. She gets her AA with *either* fire or ice agents on the team.
@@papacharlie-niner148 Yeah, possibly. With only five attributes I could see them wanting to introduce a new one, and having the most hyped character be that introduction would basically guarantee that a large, large portion of the playerbase pull for her.
I am 100% saving for her and no living man is able to change my mind, but this does not mean I don't have fun. ZZZ is my first gacha game, and I started playing after I saw HSO-S6 in the official trailer of the game. The idea of elite soldiers in formal office clothing wielding edo-era japanese weapons was love at first sight to me (except for Sokaku, her flag is kinda... let's just say I don't think there is such weapon IRL, but who knows). Ever since I figured out how the gacha mechanics work, I've been saving for Miyabi, meaning that I don't have any other banner agents. However, I still think the game is entertaining and fun despite having none of the currently strongest agents. I just enjoy having a goal and "working" for it. I have 246 tapes saved up , so I'm definitely pulling her W-engine as well. If that won't be enough (which I'd be surprised of), I have 6000 polychromes saved up as "last resort A" and 200 residual signals as "last resort B". Yes, it really is kind of overkill, but if I am doing something, I like completing it entirely and I always go for the certain. I'm not sure that going for 100% all the time is how gacha games are supposed to be played, but f*ck you, I do what I want.
Account progression and preference both come first for every gacha, you just have to compromise which one is currently more important. If progression will give you more resources or a better experience, you get that, but if you know a banner you want is coming up next, you get that instead. Right now you're not doing either by skipping everything and the banner not being announced yet, so I'd suggest getting to a middle ground. You can afford some pulls on other points of interest, and in the event you lose 50-50 that immediately shortens the amount you need for Miyabi. If you win it within the spare amount of resources without compromising Miyabi, even better. Banner availability is something you should take advantage of, since the rest of the progress hurdles are simply about grinding.

It is not because I want to disrespect you, or because I think it's a bad advice (It really is a great advice for beginners and even people like me), but because I feel like I'm fine. I was raised to appriciate whatever I have, now matter how little it is and if sometimes I get something I want, I consider it as a little gift from the universe. A little plus. I do not aim to get as many valuable agents as possible (even though I like all of the banner agents), my goal is simply to have fun and get some of those that I like. As I wrote it in the comment, I am kind of a maximalist and a safe player. I know that it might be a good strategy to build pity in certain situations, but I just don't think I need it. If I won't be enjoying the game anymore, I will take your advice, but for now, I think I don't need to resort to it if you don't mind. Thank you again, I much appriciate your intention. I literally learned most of the game mechanics from helpful people like you lol.

Everyone is entitled to their own decisions and it's their own account, none of my business, my only concern is sharing knowledge. As a last piece of advice, if you have some information or speculation about the character you like (like Miyabi being assumed to be a dps in this instance), it would be good to at least keep an eye out for units that may pair well with them, either A rank or S rank. In this case you would look into supports for Miyabi so you can give her a team, if the character you liked was a support or stun unit similarly you would look into pulling a dps that makes good use of them along the way. Banners are the only thing that will put a stop to your progression and you're at the mercy of devs to have them come back, this is why people are worried about FOMO all the time if they don't plan ahead. Considering you have extra currency despite having a specific goal, it's prudent to ask yourself "is there potential for this unit be useful for what I want?", because not looking forward in a gacha when it comes to banners is a sure way to hit a wall. Not always it will be a progress wall, sometimes it just ends up being regret when it turns out there's a cool interaction between the character you want and something you skipped, when you had the opportunity to get it. I think you'll do just fine, but I raise awareness anyway just in case since those things are time-sensitive and not everyone is familiar enough with things that it would naturally cross their minds. @@Caduceus444 I feel like we aren't far different apart, I pulled for ellen and made an ice team, but since then I stopped entirely pulling because I want to hoard everything for miyabi, I want to get her weapon and her herself, and I personally won't get bored of the game, as you, I value what I currently have and I'm a patient oriented person, though I personally suggest you stock up to 240 pulls and try to see if miyabis teammates (yanagi or harumasa) are good synergies with myiabi with the bonus tapes you obtain (because if you do lose ur 50/50, miyabi stays guaranteed) while you still keeo tapes for her weapon once u do pull her, that's what I'm doing right now, I'm saving 240 pulls and then try and see which section 6 member synergizes with her, so I can make the STRONGEST miyabi team and spoil her entirely, as I love her and feel like she's the most fun character out of everyone
My rules for summoning in Hoyo games after genshin. 1. No repeat same Element /attribute/weapons regardless of powercreep or star level. Jane may be a better Piper, but Piper was here for me first. 2. Character has to be likeable. No emotion, no Character = No summon. I don't want an overly serious quiet chick with a huge bust. 3. For this game, not going past 15 built characters. Summons completey end after set team completion. I'm currently missing Lyacon, and Koleda. But basically, after Caesar and Burnice, the next Ether and Ice characters I obtain, those will be my last summons for the game. Setting limits helps me stay rich lol. I definitely learned from my past. Oh, and weapon banner is a no go!
I'm even more dumb... I am saving my films for a character that might not even be a character. However, I think it is safe to assume Obol Squad will have another member at some point in the distant future, but it could be over a year from now. 11 seems to be rather disconnected from the rest of the game at this point in time. I'm assuming there will be an Anby / Obol Squad story in the future and some related characters to pull. Maybe the snipper 'Trigger' from 11's solo story. But I am primarily saving it because I am very happy with my current lineup and see no reason to change it. But if something really interesting comes along I won't hesitate to spend the film.
Unless they re-release Ellen, Miyabi is 100% my goal. Including her gear. In the meantime, I'm building up my 2 teams for end game so I'm still playing and enjoying the game. I hope the next few patches are fun to play.
To be honest, as a Miyabi saver who played around the assumption that we would be dropping in 1.2/1.3, and had to adjust after she got pushed back, I only have this to add: if you don't mind ignoring the end game content and/or only picking up part its rewards, you can wait until miyabi drops. I was just feeling like this. I Saved over 20k and was lacking in an actual dps. I was just sticking with Koleda, Ben and Lucy teams for everything. So I pulled for Jane and got her with 90+ pulls remaining I got 4 ranks too which makes it so much more flexible to build teams. I'm now skipping every banner from now on for Miyabi. Miyabi is Life

I'm honestly a bit surprised there's a Miyabi cult, tbh. My Zenless Zone Zero journey so far: -Pulled Grace as my first S rank -Wanted Rina to pair with her, but failed to get her enough times that I made her my freebie after my 300th pull on the standard banner (In a stroke of kismet, the S rank I actually won in that 300th pull was her W-Engine) -During that journey, I became aware of Yanagi, and set my sights on obtaining her when she gets implemented -Coveted Qingyi catastrophically, finally managed to pull her on the final day of her banner -I thought after her I would be saving up for Yanagi, because I saw a leak claiming she'd be in 1.3 -Then I saw Burnice's art. Then I met her in that in-game event that was basically Papers, Please on easy mode. I need her, no two ways about it. -Jane's an easy skip, Caesar's also an easy skip but her rerun's something to keep an eye out for. Currently sitting on 2 Encypted Master Tapes and 3594 Polys, not a single one shall be spent until Burnice is up for grabs.
I started the game 3 weeks ago, quickly joined miyabi cult. So far saved 120pulls. I have a lot of time before 1.4 to save next 120pulls. I will pull for caesar due to my main team having nekomata as dps. Then I am saving for miyabi to build second team with her.
we won't get for a long time and i have 2 reasons for that : 1. She's a little two important for the story to just casually drop , if she show up it gotta be at a climax of an arc and i am not seeing the climax coming this soon . She about at important an an genshin archon , they gotta cook with her a little longer. 2. A new faction just got leak which mean an additional chapter which mean an update futher before she get here .
Not to offend you or anything, but I don't think HSO-S6 is such an important faction in ZZZ lore... YET! OK, they showed up once, they were epic and left an impression, but I think no one would notice if Hollow zero qualification assessment just disappeared. They aren't so significant in the story RIGHT NOW. This may change in the future.

Right now there nothing special about her squad but Miyabi is Void Hunter descendance and see that most of her screen time so been about kill the Hollow Garden boss which been shown multiple time to be hard to kill , she have to show up some where before the climax but not too soon in order for the story to get really hype . i think at least 1.5 . Though the leak of her squad coming out in 2 update does throw a wrench in my theory.
As someone who cleared every endgame content this early, I just pull for characters that i like regardless of meta or "pull value". Served me well in genshin and HSR.

Been saving since release, and I'm currently at 345/360 Pulls (To guarantee pity and W-Engine, I am a Below Average Luck Player xD). Caesar is really tempting, as someone who parries like a maniac with Ben (who has saved me many runs against Nineveh), but I'll probably take the long way around to her rerun, since I really need a DPS that isn't just Nekomata.

this is a good video ngl. i have 2 full teams built with jane qingyi lucy, and ellen soukaku and lycaon. this makes me think if i can just go for anyone in 1.2 or do i still save for miyabi since i played with her on beta and its so fun (i dont even know how to optimize her and it feels so satisfying) let's leave the 1.3 drip marketing because we might stay a bit longer in the outer ring arc.

It feels odd chatting with my friends about this game and I have no interest in Miyabi or any of the characters in her team. Feels like if I say something they gonna snap! it's bad out here. But I'm having so much fun with my Jane, and love the 1.2 characters I'm sure Miyabi will probably break the game when she comes out, I don't think the team wants all that drama for making her any kind of balance....
Miyabi is on the December monthly card, so it would be cool if she released in the second half of 1.3 (mid December) after lighter presumably, but that probably won’t happen
I have majority of the current characters/agents in the game (except Rina, Ellen, and Zhu Yuan). But I’m happy to see more Sons of Calydon come into the game considering we only have Piper and Lucy from the group (and former member Billy who’s now apart of The Cunning Hares). I was also wondering when we’d see Lighter cause every now and then I see him as an NPC. I think Miyabi and the rest of Section 6 are pretty hype, but I probably won’t be saving for them anytime soon until they announce their release. I’ll only be saving for its current characters/agents or whoever is the latest added into the game. Can’t wait to get Ceasar and Burnice in 1.2. I’m loving the game right now, just trying to level up my Inter-Knot level every couple of days (currently level 45). Btw if I want to try and get Ellen, Rina, and Zhu Yuan would I have to wait for their banners to show up in the Signal Search again or would I be able to try my luck and get them without them being in the spotlight? Someone else said I’d have to wait for their banners to come around again just to get them.

I was saving for Miyabi, but as I saw that it was going to be some time before she came out, I've decided to pull on some others. Jane was the big one for me and I couldn't be happier to have her. She's a crazy fun, crazy powerful character. Honestly, if they make Miyabi like her except for Ice, I'd be in heaven. I have plenty of time to restore my stock of polychrome before there's even a chance they start whispering about her.

Miyabi is the Ayaka of ZZZ.
Ayaka was in the beta for Genshin. She was in multiple CBT stages, actually, and was largely complete in that beta. The Ayaka we got in the main game was finished more or less two years before she was rollable.
That bears repeating: TWO YEARS. Ayaka in her effectively finished state, was in CBT 1, which was roughly a year before 1.0, and Ayaka did not officially release until very late July 2021 with 2.0, a little under a year later. Day 1 Ayaka Mains were saving for almost a year before they got her. We know there is a senior dev in Mihoyo that really likes Vergil (his work PC's wallpaper is Vergil's DMC5 portrait, he has a Vergil figurine at his desk, and he even has the fucking meme plastic chair in the office ffs), so it is very likely that said dev either developed it himself as a passion project, or pressured another dev to do it in his stead.
Saving now is a risky gamble that may not pay out for months, if not years. If you're willing to go in for that, don't assume she'll be in 1.4 or even 1.5. Assume you're not seeing her until AT LEAST the anniversary.

Not a Miyabi cultist, but im going to keep saving, because even if i have more then enough for the next character i want, its not gonna be too long before there's another character i want, and another, and another.
I do think that we could see Miyabi as an anomoly unit, especially when we consider that at some point we'll start to get rerun banners, and the devs would likely want there to be a good reason for players to pull for Ellen on her rerun. If Miyabi and Ellen are directly competing as an ice attack unit, I feel like Ellen would somewhat take a back seat to the newer (and in some ways cooler) Miyabi. Peace and Love Gamers!
I think so too, especially since Yanagi seems to be an off field anomaly dps (based on the new anomaly set next patch). Unless Yanagi is meant to be played with Haramusa and Jane.

when i first started the game i wanted to try saving until hard pity for if i lose the 50/50, then i realized that it also meant i wouldn't get any of the fun characters i wanted. so i bit the bullet and let myself pull, and i think i'm enjoying the game more for it :)

I'm of the same mind about this: Miyabi, lore-wise, is easily the strongest character we've met so far, so it only makes sense for her to be the last of the currently-known characters to become playable, maybe even the last character before a version 2.0. By saving up for her for so long, I worry that people are setting themselves up for disappointment when their m6 Miyabi doesn't get them auto S-ranks in Shiyu because they don't have a proper 2nd team.
Still gonna go for Caesar and start saving up for Miyabi afterward. I always preffer effieciency over designs, so getting more multi purpose units for your account is always better than blindly chasing a design we don't even know when it's dropping. Don't me wrong, I'm also hyped for Miyabi, but that doesn't mean other characters don't deserve your attention or your pulls. I know this sounds crazy, but even meta characters vastly contribute to your fun, because they help you a ton with clearing the hard content WHILE having a good design ANYWAY. But at the end of the day, you do you~✌Play responsibly and have fun!
I m planning to do as you said. I started playing on 1.1 Qingyi banner and now I have Jane. Already failed 50/50 with Kolaeda and waiting to pull Caesar with 70 Pulls. Then I'm gonna pull Nicole and Lucy in Burnice banner till I got C6 or M6. If I get Burnice, that's a jackpot. If I fail, it's gonna be a perfect timing for Miyabi. I might reconsider about that if Lighter come out with a meta kit but right now I believe My roadmap is already perfect for Miyabi.
Idk why people are so stoked for miyabi. I get she was super badass in that cutscene, but looks wise, she is the least good looking female character of any of the other ones so far in the game. Yanagi is way better looking, so are Jane, Ellen, Burnace, Caesar and almost everyone else.
ok I'm a level 30 account in a week, I'm also fascinated by Myabi's cinematics. but I also saw the online gameplay and to be honest it didn't make that much of an impression on me, let's add the fact that the fanservice with her is practically non-existent, I don't know, this game gives me great impressions but the characters that really convince me are few. Currently I'm ecstatic about Jane Doe she has a gameplay that is an extreme masterpiece, really fun she impressed me and basically only she is making me play this game, she has everything I need crazy animations, fun gameplay and healthy fanservice. as a day 1, m6 miyabi saver with 330 pulls saved so far, didn’t know there was a cult ahaha - I’ve been able to fully clear all the endgame content running neko, piper, luci, and anton, anby nicole, koleda and Ben are benched until I get soldier from standard of which I’m at 215 pulls so not too far from the free character, yes not having ice and ether team at times is painful but it’s honestly not that bad

yeah I am going to be one of those people saving. But I am not saving for Miyabi. It's just that I don't particularly feel the need or the want to pull as of now. I am enjoying the game with all the A ranks and as a F2P, I want to really pull for the character I REALLY like. Maybe it's just my fetish way of enjoying the game but when I see my accumulated polychrom, I felt an indescribably sense of enjoyment and accomplishment (yep my eyes are as wild as those goblin in LotR now haha).

Don't forget that they might also do what NEPS did and for Section 6 release 3 Agents in a batch(being 2 S-Ranks and 1 A-Rank), atm theres ALOT of S-Ranks in comparison to the game. With alot of missing role/element mix for both A/S ranks.
Most likely, we'll get 1 banner from S6 with a A-Rank+S-Rank due to the Hollow Zero stories and Nirvahna/Garden content that expanded in 1.1, but after that we'll get SDF with Soldier 11s faction finally getting some love.
We got teased with the mysterious sniper "Trigger", and as we delve into the OuterRing with 1.2, we might start dealing with Rebels and the Special Defence Force.
What I’ve gotten from this, I need 28k polychrome to guarantee one copy of Miyabi. So if I want 6 copies, I need to save 168k. Or I will need to whale to get M6 Miyabi. But then I also need her weapon and 4 extra copies of that weapon. So I’ll need at least 300k polychrome saved up by 1.4
Honestly as an Ellen enjoyer i wouldnt care if she got power crept. That's just how Gachas work. I'll still enjoy her. Let the Miyabi waiters continue to save. It'll be so worth it when she comes up ans comes home. I'll just continue to pull Ellen Mindscape's to make her stronger cause i love my Shark Girl that much.

Aside from when she was released on closed beta, theres no sign whatsoever for miyabi to be another ice type unit
ALG talking the real talk. I think the point about power-creeping Ellen, the first limited agent ever, is the key one. It's a pretty strong implication that Miyabi will be an Attack class character. Even without considering fans thirsting for Miyabi post-ZZZ release (or post CBT, when she first showed up), there were good reasons to delay her debut. Given that Ellen was the first limited agent and an Ice Attack type, it makes perfect sense that they would space out the release of the NEXT Ice Attack type pretty far down the line. This is further supported by her role in the story, since Section Six is positioned as an elite group and she is their leader. You don't debut the best of the best early in the roster, because every agent that follows will seem like a me-too wannabe and compare unfavorably, even if the agent is objectively strong, like Jane. Who would pull Jane if she was in the patch following Miyabi?
Now all that said, I would not be surprised if we got thrown a curve-ball with Miyabi's debut, like she's the first dual-class agent or a new Attribute type (Spirit energy?) or maybe a mixed Attribute type, like Ice/Electric. Again, to reinforce her best of the best role. They'd use her to showcase a new mechanic, kind of like how they are using Caesar/Burnice to showcase the new disc drives.

My tinfoil hat theory is that Miyabi will be a new element type in her release form that we don't have in the game yet (spirit or ghost, maybe?). That way she could be a top tier/broken dps but wouldn't necessarily feel like Ellen power creep and would bring in some potential new element interactions.

Personally I didn't find any banner appealing this far including the next ones, so I can totally understand people perma-saving for the one thing they're interested in. Such a fatal flaw for a gacha, and it never happened to me before, but luckily for the devs most people don't share my view.

@@Salmon_Toastie I really like lucy with the boars, and piper is kinda cool despite not playing very well, but the rest I also don't vibe with. I like the belobog gang the most, the rest really doesn't impress me aside from Jane and Seth gameplay feeling the best imo.

@@Salmon_Toastie I actually never had a honey moon phase for this game, since the beginning I complain about most things and the only things I can say they have are style and untapped potential. I'm pushing the dailies in case they figure out how to improve the game, and Jane is a huge step in the right direction gameplay-wise, but if they hold back Miyabi too long with nothing else looking interesting on the way I'll probably have quit out of boredom.
I wonder when reruns will start, so far with so many enticing characters back to back it really is an exercise in self control for f2ps

In all seriousness, Im gonna skip the current pair of S-ranks not just b/c Fox Lady looms in the future. Ive managed to grab all S-ranks so far as a low spend, mostly via luck, but that still means whoever comes next I cant 100% know I'll get them. Miyabi is probably soon, but it could be a new faction for all we know that's also super cool. Also, frankly, while I adore the new crew, I just prefer the vibe of NEPS (Who has my best girl Qingyi) and Ellen. So I'm okay passing, since of the bikers, Lucy is actually my fav and I already have her.

Right now the only one worth pulling for, in my opinion, was Jane, which is what I did but otherwise I am absolutely preparing for a full built Miyabi-team, which will most likely include one or two of the incoming team-members.

If Miyabi is an anomaly unit, she's gonna be a SUPER SHATTER character, well not really super but she would probably play around Shatter to deal massive damage to enemy units.
I didn't know I was part of the cult but it does make sense. Miyabi is the only character on my mind since day 1. I didn't like Ellen's design so I skipped her for Miyabi. The only S rank dps I got on my account is Jane, and she's amazing. But I definitely hope to see the same result from Miyabi when she eventually comes into the game. As for pulling for other characters, you have point. No reason not to when you go over 20k polys. Maybe I'll try getting Caesar or Burnice. I have no plans on either right now. But Burnice's has Lucy and I also need Piper copies so... it's rough.
If you're a light spender on the daily bonus poly/primo/jade thing, and also as long as you don't empty your savings right before, if you start saving right as the drip marketing drops you can get that character. It's right on the edge though, so if you spent much after the start of the second half of the current banner it'll be a gamble.
Unironically what happened to me because I skipped both Zhu Yuan and Ellen. I was not having a lot of fun and stopped using a lot of my energy/battery. But I am stubborn and still consider I did the right thing for my account, as having Jane and m6 Seth really turned things around for my enjoyment.
Whether I will do the same for Harumasa and Miyabi...well, I will keep this video in mind. But I WILL prioritize what is fun for me, as we all should

Here's my hot take/prediction: I think Miyabi will either be electric OR fire attack. She was ice in the beta, but looking at her cutscenes now, I can't see the "ice" aspect. Her team members seem to be electric (not that it matters that much), and it would avoid stepping on Ellen's toes very much. I do think that Ice/Anomaly is the most likely pairing if she stays as ice, however, and Soukaku being ice would make Soukaku a good support for her, so I get why that's the common opinion.
Fire would be weird given we just got a Fire Anomaly and Fire Attacker, and Elec would also be a little overkill. We already have a lot of elec agents, 2 more coming with Yanagi and Harusama. And it would leave no one for Soukaku to properly support within her own faction. Not saying it can't happen though, guess we'll see.
I've watched her cutscene a bajillion times, and it absolutely looks like fire. Blue colored spirit-fire is a common thing, like Kaga from Azur Lane for example. I still kinda hope she's ice, but I'm happy with anything
I call your hot take and raise you a crack-pot theory: Miyabi will introduce a new Attribute: Spirit type. It looks like fire but acts like ice. She gets her AA with *either* fire or ice agents on the team.

ZZZ is my first gacha game, and I started playing after I saw HSO-S6 in the official trailer of the game. The idea of elite soldiers in formal office clothing wielding edo-era japanese weapons was love at first sight to me (except for Sokaku, her flag is kinda... let's just say I don't think there is such weapon IRL, but who knows).
Ever since I figured out how the gacha mechanics work, I've been saving for Miyabi, meaning that I don't have any other banner agents.
However, I still think the game is entertaining and fun despite having none of the currently strongest agents. I just enjoy having a goal and "working" for it.
I have 246 tapes saved up , so I'm definitely pulling her W-engine as well. If that won't be enough (which I'd be surprised of), I have 6000 polychromes saved up as "last resort A" and 200 residual signals as "last resort B".
Yes, it really is kind of overkill, but if I am doing something, I like completing it entirely and I always go for the certain.
I'm not sure that going for 100% all the time is how gacha games are supposed to be played, but f*ck you, I do what I want.
Account progression and preference both come first for every gacha, you just have to compromise which one is currently more important. If progression will give you more resources or a better experience, you get that, but if you know a banner you want is coming up next, you get that instead.
Right now you're not doing either by skipping everything and the banner not being announced yet, so I'd suggest getting to a middle ground. You can afford some pulls on other points of interest, and in the event you lose 50-50 that immediately shortens the amount you need for Miyabi. If you win it within the spare amount of resources without compromising Miyabi, even better. Banner availability is something you should take advantage of, since the rest of the progress hurdles are simply about grinding.

Second of all, I don't think I will keep your advice. It is not because I want to disrespect you, or because I think it's a bad advice (It really is a great advice for beginners and even people like me), but because I feel like I'm fine.
I was raised to appriciate whatever I have, now matter how little it is and if sometimes I get something I want, I consider it as a little gift from the universe. A little plus. I do not aim to get as many valuable agents as possible (even though I like all of the banner agents), my goal is simply to have fun and get some of those that I like. As I wrote it in the comment, I am kind of a maximalist and a safe player. I know that it might be a good strategy to build pity in certain situations, but I just don't think I need it.
If I won't be enjoying the game anymore, I will take your advice, but for now, I think I don't need to resort to it if you don't mind.

As a last piece of advice, if you have some information or speculation about the character you like (like Miyabi being assumed to be a dps in this instance), it would be good to at least keep an eye out for units that may pair well with them, either A rank or S rank. In this case you would look into supports for Miyabi so you can give her a team, if the character you liked was a support or stun unit similarly you would look into pulling a dps that makes good use of them along the way.
Banners are the only thing that will put a stop to your progression and you're at the mercy of devs to have them come back, this is why people are worried about FOMO all the time if they don't plan ahead. Considering you have extra currency despite having a specific goal, it's prudent to ask yourself "is there potential for this unit be useful for what I want?", because not looking forward in a gacha when it comes to banners is a sure way to hit a wall. Not always it will be a progress wall, sometimes it just ends up being regret when it turns out there's a cool interaction between the character you want and something you skipped, when you had the opportunity to get it.
I think you'll do just fine, but I raise awareness anyway just in case since those things are time-sensitive and not everyone is familiar enough with things that it would naturally cross their minds. Have fun

@@Caduceus444 I feel like we aren't far different apart, I pulled for ellen and made an ice team, but since then I stopped entirely pulling because I want to hoard everything for miyabi, I want to get her weapon and her herself, and I personally won't get bored of the game, as you, I value what I currently have and I'm a patient oriented person, though I personally suggest you stock up to 240 pulls and try to see if miyabis teammates (yanagi or harumasa) are good synergies with myiabi with the bonus tapes you obtain (because if you do lose ur 50/50, miyabi stays guaranteed) while you still keeo tapes for her weapon once u do pull her, that's what I'm doing right now, I'm saving 240 pulls and then try and see which section 6 member synergizes with her, so I can make the STRONGEST miyabi team and spoil her entirely, as I love her and feel like she's the most fun character out of everyone
My rules for summoning in Hoyo games after genshin.
1. No repeat same Element /attribute/weapons regardless of powercreep or star level. Jane may be a better Piper, but Piper was here for me first.
2. Character has to be likeable. No emotion, no Character = No summon. I don't want an overly serious quiet chick with a huge bust.
3. For this game, not going past 15 built characters. Summons completey end after set team completion. I'm currently missing Lyacon, and Koleda. But basically, after Caesar and Burnice, the next Ether and Ice characters I obtain, those will be my last summons for the game.
Setting limits helps me stay rich lol. I definitely learned from my past. Oh, and weapon banner is a no go!
I'm even more dumb... I am saving my films for a character that might not even be a character.
However, I think it is safe to assume Obol Squad will have another member at some point in the distant future, but it could be over a year from now. 11 seems to be rather disconnected from the rest of the game at this point in time.
I'm assuming there will be an Anby / Obol Squad story in the future and some related characters to pull. Maybe the snipper 'Trigger' from 11's solo story.
But I am primarily saving it because I am very happy with my current lineup and see no reason to change it. But if something really interesting comes along I won't hesitate to spend the film.

Unless they re-release Ellen, Miyabi is 100% my goal. Including her gear. In the meantime, I'm building up my 2 teams for end game so I'm still playing and enjoying the game. I hope the next few patches are fun to play.
To be honest, as a Miyabi saver who played around the assumption that we would be dropping in 1.2/1.3, and had to adjust after she got pushed back, I only have this to add: if you don't mind ignoring the end game content and/or only picking up part its rewards, you can wait until miyabi drops. If you do care about those, then you will need to pick up at least one S rank damage dealer in the near future. That will go up to two thd longer we go by without her dropping.

I was just feeling like this. I Saved over 20k and was lacking in an actual dps. I was just sticking with Koleda, Ben and Lucy teams for everything. So I pulled for Jane and got her with 90+ pulls remaining I got 4 ranks too which makes it so much more flexible to build teams. I'm now skipping every banner from now on for Miyabi. Miyabi is Life

I'm honestly a bit surprised there's a Miyabi cult, tbh.
My Zenless Zone Zero journey so far:
-Pulled Grace as my first S rank
-Wanted Rina to pair with her, but failed to get her enough times that I made her my freebie after my 300th pull on the standard banner (In a stroke of kismet, the S rank I actually won in that 300th pull was her W-Engine)
-During that journey, I became aware of Yanagi, and set my sights on obtaining her when she gets implemented
-Coveted Qingyi catastrophically, finally managed to pull her on the final day of her banner
-I thought after her I would be saving up for Yanagi, because I saw a leak claiming she'd be in 1.3
-Then I saw Burnice's art. Then I met her in that in-game event that was basically Papers, Please on easy mode. I need her, no two ways about it.
-Jane's an easy skip, Caesar's also an easy skip but her rerun's something to keep an eye out for. Currently sitting on 2 Encypted Master Tapes and 3594 Polys, not a single one shall be spent until Burnice is up for grabs.
I started the game 3 weeks ago, quickly joined miyabi cult. So far saved 120pulls. I have a lot of time before 1.4 to save next 120pulls. I will pull for caesar due to my main team having nekomata as dps. Then I am saving for miyabi to build second team with her.
we won't get for a long time and i have 2 reasons for that :
1. She's a little two important for the story to just casually drop , if she show up it gotta be at a climax of an arc and i am not seeing the climax coming this soon . She about at important an an genshin archon , they gotta cook with her a little longer.
2. A new faction just got leak which mean an additional chapter which mean an update futher before she get here .

OK, they showed up once, they were epic and left an impression, but I think no one would notice if Hollow zero qualification assessment just disappeared. They aren't so significant in the story RIGHT NOW. This may change in the future.

Right now there nothing special about her squad but Miyabi is Void Hunter descendance and see that most of her screen time so been about kill the Hollow Garden boss which been shown multiple time to be hard to kill , she have to show up some where before the climax but not too soon in order for the story to get really hype . i think at least 1.5 . Though the leak of her squad coming out in 2 update does throw a wrench in my theory.

As someone who cleared every endgame content this early, I just pull for characters that i like regardless of meta or "pull value". Served me well in genshin and HSR.

Been saving since release, and I'm currently at 345/360 Pulls (To guarantee pity and W-Engine, I am a Below Average Luck Player xD).
Caesar is really tempting, as someone who parries like a maniac with Ben (who has saved me many runs against Nineveh), but I'll probably take the long way around to her rerun, since I really need a DPS that isn't just Nekomata.

this is a good video ngl. i have 2 full teams built with jane qingyi lucy, and ellen soukaku and lycaon. this makes me think if i can just go for anyone in 1.2 or do i still save for miyabi since i played with her on beta and its so fun (i dont even know how to optimize her and it feels so satisfying)

I think before we all go raging that this video is anti-(S-Rank).. we might want to consider that this contents are made to make F2Players feel better about not being able to win on the Gacha banner. Miyabi is on the December monthly card, so it would be cool if she released in the second half of 1.3 (mid December) after lighter presumably, but that probably won’t happen

I have majority of the current characters/agents in the game (except Rina, Ellen, and Zhu Yuan). But I’m happy to see more Sons of Calydon come into the game considering we only have Piper and Lucy from the group (and former member Billy who’s now apart of The Cunning Hares). I was also wondering when we’d see Lighter cause every now and then I see him as an NPC.
I think Miyabi and the rest of Section 6 are pretty hype, but I probably won’t be saving for them anytime soon until they announce their release. I’ll only be saving for its current characters/agents or whoever is the latest added into the game. Can’t wait to get Ceasar and Burnice in 1.2.
I’m loving the game right now, just trying to level up my Inter-Knot level every couple of days (currently level 45).
Btw if I want to try and get Ellen, Rina, and Zhu Yuan would I have to wait for their banners to show up in the Signal Search again or would I be able to try my luck and get them without them being in the spotlight? Someone else said I’d have to wait for their banners to come around again just to get them.
