To me Shiyu Defense feels easier then Abyss in Genshin, might be just because it's still early in the game's life, but once you get decent-ish discs and solid teams it's not too bad.
Agreed. I used Corin on one half and, while she didn't clear as fast as Ellen on the other half, she definitely was more than enough to S-Rank that b*tch. The funny thing is that my disk builds are okay, nothing stellar at all in either side. My Qingyi has three level 0 disks in her build lol. Honestly, I'd like for that other Shiyu Defense, the one with unlimited time and enemies that hit really hard, to also be repeatable. I think harder enemies with unlimited time is more fun than easier enemies that you need to beat in X amount of time.
@@AverieS820 agreed. I used a level 51 jane doe with a level 10 seth and level 10 lucy with no drive discs and i was still able to S rank up to frontier 6 and A rank frontier 7. Just need to master the timing in those perfect assists and dodges and you're good in this game. Abyss in genshin is a whole different beast compared to this one.
In Genshin, I can full stars in version 2.6 In HSR I can full MoC in 1.7 In ZZZ I already full S Shiyu Defense just in first phase on 1.1 Definitely easier
Honestly Shiyu Defense really isn't too bad as long as you have 2 decently built DPS characters at lvl 60 and 1-2 stunners (depending on the DPS you're using). Last SD cycle was the first one I managed to clear all stages with S Rank and it was mainly because I got Jane Doe for my second side. Up until that point I'd been using a level 40 Corin and it was a REAL struggle. The amount of difference leveling a character to 60 makes is enormous.
I kind of regret not getting Zhu Yuan because anytime there is an ether/ice weakness I literally have nothing. I plan on getting the Samurai Fox girl though

the biggest issue i personally felt until getting one of the limited characters is simply that all shiyu defense 7 so far had one side with physical resistance, most of our accessible chars are physical

Also a good f2p advice is that you don't really need to focus on weaknesses with S rank characters. They are enough enough to clear any floor but only if the said floor has no resistance to that element. Yes it will be longer but is perfectly doable. That's how I cleared all SD wtih S ranks by the beginning of 1.1. With A ranks you preferably need the element weakness though.
ZZZ endgame is much easier than the other 2 hoyo games edit - Yeah we will see how it goes later on, but for now comparing all 3 for starting endgame ZZZ is way easier than the other 2 hands down. From my experience in all 3 ZZZ requires way less investment in characters for full clear too compared them.
I forgot people couldn’t even beat the story mode boss adventurine in star rail despite having Acheron the most Broken character in that game which is why they have added a ‘casual’ difficulty in the most recent update…

Was kinda annoying that i couldn´t progress the Story and missing Boss Materials etc. Its more about new player friendly, then dumb player friendly.
easier until they add SD 8,9, and 10 (like MoC 11 and 12 on HSR) i agree though, i was able to clear Shiyu way faster than i was able to clear abyss (cleared on 2.X) and MoC (cleared on 1.2) when i started Genshin and HSR on 1.0.
Struggled but finally cleared shiyu defence earlier this week and i totally agree with looking at the enemy instead of your own character! felt abit like driving haha
Took me 3 patches from when I started to 36* abyss in Genshin, I got it on Hu Tao release back in 1.3. For ZZZ I was able to full clear Shiyu before Jane came out, with only Zhu Yuan as a limited character, and then Soldier 11 on the other side. Leveling characters feels rough in ZZZ but because our teams don't require as many, its not too bad. Tuning disks helps a lot too.
same bro, getting Hu Tao and ayaka was the goal back then for me Here in zzz I got zy and a cracked corin, fortunately the rng gods blessed her discs, so this shiyu was fairly easy
Remember everyone, this game is only 2 months old, don't try to force rush endgame content because you are trying to compare you're account progress with others in a PvE only game
For me you can get away with 2.5 minute clear on one side with a limited DPS even if the enemy is resistant to their element, for 4 star DPSes you'd want their most valuable mindscapes to even get close to a 2.5 minute clear and the enemy NEEDS to be weak to their element

Finally cleared Shiyu Defense all S ranks yesterday :D Thankfully I'm blessed with Zhu Yuan and Jane Doe for my two teams, it's not too bad Jane Doe makes big difference for me
you can turn on manual chain attack and whenever you see an attack is going to chain the enemy that you dont want just hold down the button the there will also be no slow-mo
my luck in zzz is shit. i only have qingyi as character event, but i still can full star the shiyu defense with team 1: anton (m6)- qingyi(m0) - nicole (m2) and team 2: piper (m2) - seth (m2) - lucy (m2). and i can say that shiyu defense more more easier than spiral abyss in genshin IMO.
i really love ur standard for an f2p. chars with "shitty"ish disks and some underleveled skills. the mindscape is kinda forgiven bcus of it. i really like it. hope you maintain this level of f2p -inity in the future nowadays, with gesnhin as their first gacha game and all, people yappin on internet thisnk f2p as just simply "no money spent", which is not where the point is. im glad u understand this
This is a cool video! Loved your tips, though for me im not in a rush. I'm IK Level 53 and still havent started grinding for discs as im trying to get my character levels and skills good before that. I have did some Shiyu and stop once i dont fufill requirements for running a stage and just go back to working on characters. Though i love i can go at my own pace but love seeing everyones experience so far in the game.
Being able to target certain disk drives through the music shop made getting gear much quicker in comparison to Genshin. Probably has a good amount to do with why people were able to clear all seven stages sooner than Genshin with the Abyss
i play zzz for 2 months and i finally finished the first part of shiyu defense, my first team is Zhu Yuan Qingyi and Nicole, My second team is Nekomiya Piper and Lucy btw im f2p

@@insertnamehere2022 Fair, but I said they can use both Jane and Piper assuming they don't have Seth and he is a f2p, you might get a off banner A Class character and Anby alot but Optimal team wise Seth is indeed better no hate replacing piper.
in ZZZ only endgame that can cause trouble are: shiyu (with 8 floors and no time limit) and nest 11/11. first one because u need to dodge/parry or you screwed, and second due to random in hollow (you have to plan your moves and resonias), however with jane doe release (and i can foresee with future agents) - i can be sure that any and every endgame content will be easily cleared with highest rank (i'm playing mobile btw :DD). so yeah you can go billy-piper-lucy for 2nd side (to cause assault & disorder more frequently), and whatever you got for 1st side (S11, Koleda, Sharky, Zhy, etc.). p.s. some 4* w-engines are cracked and quite competitive with signature 5* w-engines
- In Genshin it took me more than one year to 36* abyss iirc. - In HSR it took me maybe half a year to full star MoC consistently. - While in ZZZ I did my first full S rank clear yesterday. And my characters aren't even fully leveled yet. Dps's are 55 lvl, supports are 50, all weapons are 50 lvl and drive disks are pretty mid, also not even fully leveled. So far, the game is much easier than previous Hoyo titles at release. I'm sure it will get harder as time goes on. They already introduced Jade Doe and Mountain lion bosses that have varied move sets and hit like a truck. Just hope they don't go the Genshin route - simply inflate HP+Attack value to make enemies spongier and call it a day.
I guess I'm just bad cuz I'm about the same except DPS at 60 and still can't clear floor 7. I think Genshin also took me a year but HSR I was clearing by 1.1. Maybe I just suck at action games these days, too old haha
@@CrimsonMonarch I may have also just gotten lucky with the character pulls. I got M1 Jane Doe, M1 Rina with her signature W-engine and M0 Zhu Yuan to carry my ass this time. Not sure if I'll be able to S clear the next Defense rotation. Especially if it'll be Pyro buffed or something similar. Though pretty sure I'll be able to A rank it at least, so it's still better than when I barely got 3 stars in floor 11 of GI's abyss.
@@Jinhski zhongli was in second patch tho? No way most ppl 36 starred the abyss by then. Most people didn't even have time or resources to fully build one team yet, let alone two good ones. And we're talking about f2p. Zhong literally was my first limited 5 star. I think I didn't even clear first 8 floors at the time. Lots of people can't do a full star clear even now. Heck, I sometimes stop trying to get 9 star floor 12 even now. Very rarely, but still. Especially hate it when they get several chonky shielded electro Abyss Lecters in there. F+cking despise those guys.
I was able to easily S-rank with the same teams you used (only difference was lucy instead of soukaku), while still learning how to properly play Jane. It seems to me that shinyu will be mostly about character selection, as long as you keep at least a competent team around involving each of the elements so you can exploit type weaknesses, you'll be good to go. And since so far it seems the bosses only ever have one type resistance, as long you as you have 3 competent teams based on different elements, you will have a decent chance at exploiting the weakness in one side, while not being hindered by the resistance of the other side
I’ve been super lucky f2p to have zhu yuan, qingyi, AND Jane and Seth and had just broke the ik50 cap to start making my DPS level 60. Shiyu 7 this cycle was a breeze and now I’m trying to see what I can do without limited banner characters (which are where most of my investments are rn)
I think we're just getting to the point where day 1 free 2 play players should be built enough or close to being built enough to get S in Shiyu defense, assuming they picked up 1-2 of the limited 5 stars and aren't saving it all for Miyabi, lol. I cleared it pretty comfortably with Ellen on one side and Zhu Yuan on the other, but definitely got super lucky with my free 2 play pulls to get both of them.
I'm a person who don't like try hard to clear content, you will eventually be able to clear it. But having jane really make things easy for me. I sign repeat left click macro on my mouse and just hold the button, press dodge once in a while. Her play style is ridiculous. 😂
being an f2p player who got really luck at release getting m1u1 Ellen and a m6 Anton with a m2 Grace (she is m3 now) I managed to win my first shiyu defense 7 in the previous version after getting Jane and Seth, grinded a bit and got an S rank. And in the current version I kinda did half what I can do half what's intended for this cycle. I went on the first half with Ellen, Anby (I still don't have Lycaon) and Soukaku, while in the second half I went with Jane, Seth and Grace, I won with about 5 seconds remaining to S rank this time
Ellen is basically unplayable imo without Lycaon in the top floors of SD, and it hurts even more as F2P if u don't have her W-Engine. She's hard benched for me in favor of Zhu Yuan and Jane.
@@bjornnilsson2941 Same experience. I rarely use Ellen anymore. I love her but Zhu Yuan and Jane is way more comfortable to use imo and dish out better damage if you are a F2p. I don't have any of their W-engine. I use 4* engines. And still my Zhu Yuan-Anby-Nicole tem is going through the game comfortably.
I've only pulled an M0 Zhu Yuan and have 300 pulls saved currently. Despite this, I've had no trouble full clearing the last 3 shiyu 7s. Team 1: Zhu Yuan, Anby, Nicole Team 2: Soldier 11, Lucy, Ben
Idk about a fully built M6 Soukaku, but from my limited testing her chain attack is just bad, that's at 50 with at least fully leveled disks. I use Ellen Qingyi Soukaku and build up 2 Soukaku stacks before building stun with Qingyi. On the final stunning hit of Qingyi I swap to Soukaku before it hits to avoid wasting time for Soukaku's spinspin and do another EX special on her to get the third stack and chain into Ellen. I then skip every chain attack and just stay on Ellen. So at least prioritizing building the dps and support-buffs for asap S rank clears, chain attacks don't seem great. I figure once everyone is max level, decent max level disks, and high skills, chain attacks should become worth to do. Granted I only compared 3 or 4 runs of skipping chains vs not skipping chains, but skipping them was always faster, even if not by that much.
I know these runs aren't meant to be perfect, but I thought I might as well toss my hat into the ring to help someone else improve their gameplay or spark a discussion. For context, I'm not a theory-crafter but I've been running burst-heavy characters like Zhu Yuan, Neko, and more recently Billy, so I'll primarily focus on the Billy run (might edit if I spot anything else during the other runs). These are just my opinions and personal experience with no real calcs to back them up, so keep that in mind. Minor mistake at 7:26 whilst fighting the three crossbow Hollow raiders by not using Billy's chain attack to clear the mob wave, since Billy's additional ability grants him up to +100% Ultimate damage after two chain attacks from launching chain attacks himself (in which the second chain is done during the first daze window of the "Razor" boss). Personally, I would have used Nicole EX to group and debuff, then Anby EX to stun, then chain into Billy (hopefully that kills). Minor mistake at 8:20 and 9:09 Billy is actually considered in the "Crouching Shot" state the moment he does the flip after his standing shots, and he doesn't lose this state until he goes back into "neutral", which is to saying being able to run around like normal before you start attacking. This means that the moment you see Billy flip you can EX, then Ultimate immediately after the EX's second shot (I do this since I run Woodpecker Electro on my Billy currently) and still benefit from the "Crouching shot" state. Just keep in mind that any time you can just run around with Billy you'll need to re-enter the "Crouching shot" state if you want the buffs from it. You'll also notice at the 9:09, during the stun phase, Nicole's debuff runs out before Billy finishes his Ultimate, which loses him some damage as well. Now in my personal rotation, the window is still pretty tight, so if you have M1 Nicole you can hold her EX just a bit to squeeze out some extra debuff duration by extending the time her Blackhole stays on the field. By far the biggest mistake, imo, is after 9:14 during the third stun buildup phase. Billy is a burst character and heavily relies on his Ultimate for damage, so notice how much damage he just did in the daze window at 9:14 and compare it to how much damage was done during the stun window at 9:40, the difference is like night and day. So what is wrong with how this last phase was handled? The irony is actually stunning too fast. For burst characters, my general philosophy is to build up decibels to a level where you can reasonably have the Ultimate by the end of your chain attacks every rotation, which is about 2200 decibels- give or take a couple hundred depending on your team. Of course, there will be times where you are capping out on decibels a little and that's fine. But that's a lot of yapping from me, so what could have been done in this scenario? For one, more Defensive OR Evasive assists could have been used (only one was used during this third stun buildup), especially Evasive assists from Billy simply because Anby puts out so much daze. Evasive assists generally do less daze than Defensive assists (which grants you a larger window to build decibels), and they ALWAYS cost one assist point when you are fighting bosses, assuming you don't have a character with Enhanced Defensive assists (think Ben, Anton, Soukaku), which reduce Defensive assist cost down to one against bosses. Evasive assists still generate about the same amount of decibels as a Defensive assist, so if you've done too much daze and still need more decibels, definitely try leveraging Evasive assists for decibels. If you read this far, thanks. If not that's fine too. I just hope that this massive nerd rant can help someone else :)
As a 1.0 genshin player it took me a year until I can 36 star abyss, with ZZZ it just took me Zhu Yuan, Anby, Nicole | Anton, Grace, Rina, in the first half of 1.1
I use my premium Jane Doe and Zhu Yuan teams for Shiyuu but I imagine Nicole and Soukaku can help well for ftp. If you have one of the limited, one half should be good. 👍

I'm surprised he didn't use Anby for the team... like she works well if all honesty with the Jane/Seth duo so having Anby there would make the team worth it even though its a single Physical and two Electric characters
Shiyu def isnt that hard once u get the hang of it, usually it will take a few resets until you get the enemies perfectly grouped and saving time on rotations, it's hard to get S rank on 7th nodes since the enemies are sponges (and deal a decent amount of damage) but it's possible as long as your characters are getting upgraded in an efficient way
The hardest thing for me is grinding for artifacts/material daily seems so much slower than Genshin or HSR because the enemies are beefier which means I skip most days and haven't been able to challenge Abyss/MOC equivalent
I've already reached a point where I can clear Shiyu Defense with the characters I have, so now I'm focusing on optimizing those characters so I can clear it every rotation without sweating too hard. I'll be saving my Polys for a later patch, so it should give me enough time to perfect whoever I've got at present.
@@joshuajackson5203 it does, ATK also contributes to Anomaly damage on top of Anomaly Proficiency. Those are the two stats you wanna focus on with Anomaly DPSes.
Previous SD i was able to clear with Zhuyuan + Qingyi + Nicole and Piper + Koleda + Lucy quite easily and did it first try. now i got Jane, i cleared it with even more ease lol, I got like 2 mins+ left to spare lol
I'm F2P & it's been pretty easy for my account ever since the nerf. My two teams are: M0 W0 Zhu Yuan/M0 W0 Qingyi/M6 Nicole M1 W1 Soldier 11/M6 Ben/M5 Lucy I think a bit of investment goes a long way. Zhu players are also at a big advantage over Ellen players. Ellen was always a trap imo as a beta player who knew Zhu was crazy for a 1.0 character.
stat in this game are very differnt and easier to min max, ellen give you 100% cdm for her basic atk which her main source dmg. zhuyuan core give her critrate etc
abyss 12 is still harder to 3 star. however beating critical node 7 without proper investment (lvl 50 dps, lvl 50 supps) is definetely way harder because there's a significant damage penalty in this game for being underleveled
The main thing screwing me over is that BOTH my main DPS units are physical (Billy and Jane) so whenever there is a physical resistance boss it takes eons longer, I probably could have S ranked all the floors this cycle fully F2P if not for the final floor having a physical resistant enemy, it’s also why I’m trying to build Anton so that I can at least deal neutral damage, (I also really regret not getting Zhu Yuan, not only would she fix my dps problem but she also looks super fun to play)
no other anomoly characters you can use as dps? i've seen a seth dps build that looked fun, assuming you have him. i haven't tried it because i'd rather him buff zhu yuan, grace or jane. slap an attack engine and discs on someone you like and roll with it
I haven't been able to get passed floor 5 so far. Realistically, it's probably because I'm still building characters. Without refreshing in this game, building characters takes SIGNIFICANTLY longer than every other gacha game I play. Character progression is very, very slow in ZZZ.
I don't feel like it, to gather all resources for a character in genshin it takes ~20 days of resin, without taking into account artifacts, zzz is similar I think(I never did the actual math for zzz), maybe skills take longer but artifacts are much easier
@@RafaelCDinardi Yes the drive disk part is often overlooked. It's soooo much easier getting a passable to good set in ZZZ. Even optimal pieces should be a lot easier (I've already got several, but no full set). Sure right now we're extremely pressed for basic resources but give it another 3-6 months and even F2P will likely be swimming in lvl books and dennies. That's how both Genshin and HSR were.
Played since the beginning and I have 8 lvl 60 characters/weapon with the right mean stat for each of them. I guess some people are just focusing too much on disc like you would do in Genshin/HSr but you really only need the main stat in zzz. At least for now
idk but my experience with character progression is actually the fastest in zzz like I have 5 different functional teams already. Maybe disk drive farming is just better somehow, or I just got lucky like 20 times in a row farming for pieces lol

I haven't tried the new Shiyu that just dropped, but I did manage to S-rank across the board on the last one this weekend. For me it was the second team archetype (minus Qingyi who I lost 50/50 to, m6 Anby instead), but it looked like the first archetype in terms of clear speed. I think I had 10 seconds remaining before I woulda lost the S on floor 7. Jane(M0)/Seth(M1)/Lucy(M3) and Zhu Yuan(M1)/Anby(M6)/Nicole(M5). Both DPS are on craftable A-rank W-engines. I don't what I'm doing wrong to just be scraping by with those teams, I feel like my drive discs are well above average... That Zhu Yuan run in the vid looked like cheating to me lol, no amount of crit subs could make that magic happen. Same with other runs I've seen with like Billy clearing node 7 in 30 sec. edit: To be fair this was S-ranking on the first try with no resets maybe I could have had a full minute to spare if I'd really tried to optimize the fight or whatever.
Hey guys, is it worth getting back into ZZZ in 1.2? For context: I played throughout ellen joe’s phase and abt a week or so of zhuyuan’s phase and got zhuyuan. I quite enjoyed the combat tbh and i liked the characters. I quit, however, because i didnt want to drop hsr, wuwa or genshin and honestly 4 gacha games is kinda crazy. Also i thought the game had too little stuff to do at the time and some qol (such as the speedup tv thingy not being reset after every battle) still needed to be added for me to fully enjoy the gameplay. Also also i didnt like the story that much. I’ve heard nothing but praise for 1.1 (or what little i’ve seen of it) and a ton of hype for 1.2, seen a ton of hype around the new character. Hsr and wuwa are in a bit of a dry state and i feel this would honestly be a pretty good time to start playing again. But i want to ask people here; is it actually worth playing rn? Also, did any of the things i said above get fixed/added? This being said i did hear that wuwa is getting an update like 2-3 days after zzz’s and it’s on the same day as Genshin anniversary, so that’s gonna be a crazy few days. Good thing im on holiday rn lol.
Definitely not the minimum. My First half - 1:15ish M0 lvl 60 Zhu yuan(S5starlight) M6 lvl 55 Nicole(S1signature) M2 lvl45 anby(S1signature) Second half - 2:40ish M1 lvl60 piper (s1signature) M2 lvl55 seth (s1signature) M1 lvl55 Lucy (s1signature) All characters only have skill lvl 9 on their relevant skills and core level E on all of them and their drive disc are soso. Total clear time of 4mins. Still have 1 minute to spare. Take note that this tine can be improved further if I have better discs. Means that you can still make a slightly weaker team than this and still clear it.
I honestly thought I didn't have what it takes... Until I got to the final one and got an A rank without realizing it. I only have 2 S-rank characters (Grace and Jane) and 2 S-rank W-Engines. My takeaway is... Anby is way better than I thought... Especially at C6.
I feel horrible Jane took me to 81 pity... Then I lost 50/50 then took me 76 pity... Jeez Jane didn't know you didn't want to come home... -$150.95 (Good thing it's doubled though.)
I wouldn't say shiyu defence is very hard. I was completely f2p until 2 days ago, but before buying welkin and BP I cleared the max levels for all 3 modes on S rank. My teams were Ellen Qingyi c6 Soukaku and sharkboo on one side, Soldier 11 Koleda c4 Ben and Safety on the other side. No hamster cages used, not particularly skilled, the only 5 star weapon was lycon signature lvl 50 on Koleda. I didn't grind the game too much, because I have not done exploration quests since lvl 35, and I stopped doing hollow zero a month ago because it was too boring. If I can do it, most people can.
Yeah using 1 limited char, maybe even 2 is still within f2p. On average , ppl should have 2 limiteds by now . On the other hand, it's unlikely f2ps have a lycaon yet. Games gonna push koleda
as f2p and quite lucky its kinda easier for me to clear Shiyu defense than MoC in HSR back then, Abyss in genshin, or even Tower in WuWa. the investment i out in ZZZ not that high but the limited character really help. Having Ellen Zhu yuan for now is enough and having qingyi cherry on the top stuner. and not money spend, back in HSR i can Clear MoC on Blade banner fully 10 floor back then, with same time i spend on ZZZ so uea its quite easy. in genshin, on Hutao banner which is 3/4 month because elemental. check and i dont have any pyro dps.
Critical node is extremely easy. I don’t even bother switching teams between floors to account for resistance. I am a f2p player. I’ve cleared abyss since 2.0, 4.0 I was finally consistently speed running abyss. Critical node feels like 2 year deep genshin account.
What? "Impossible for F2P"? It wasn't bad, like, I imagine it can be hard with only A-Ranks, but screw that, I rather it be MANDATORY to have S-Ranks, because if I can 100% everything with A-Ranks, then what is the point of pulling for S-Ranks? Already had this situation on genshin, don't want any other games to follow in it's footsteps, because it's straight up UNREALISTIC to always measure with no S-Ranks as if some people didn't have any Note:wrote this as soon as i entered the video, watching rn Edit: so the "impossible" kinda clickbait, thought as much, but my point stands, i dont want this game to be dumb easy, there's plenty of things that could be optimized gameplay-wise like cancelling animations, quickswaping, etc, but if the game doesn't offer a challenge that needs me to properly learn those mechanics, im not going to because it would be pointless, and that will be frustrating if the game stays easy
Pretty much just a fucking Zhu Yuan f2p team and a well built Jane doe because I was literally able to solo the 2nd half of shiyu defense just with her alone.
i kinda hoped youd try with piper. Mine is level 60 and managed a sub 2:30 clear and didnt even notice until afterwards her disk drives are only levels 6-12. Shes basically built for the second half assuming you dont have a jane doe but even then she does just fine.
Yeah I’m stuck at getting A rank on 5 and haven’t pushed it further. I don’t have any limited 5* dps so my main dps units atm are Anton and Piper. It looks like there is a huge disparity between 5* dps and 4* dps, but I also think my lack of levels + mindscapes play into this as well. I also do chain attacks with the bangboo because both of my main dps units require energy to attack so chains help me conserve energy.
Shiyu is a lot easier. I'm f2p and i was able s rank up to level 6 and a rank level 7 with a ellen, lycaon, c1 sukaku with f2p wengines. And a level 51 joe dane with a level 10 lucy and level 10 seth woth no drive engines and f2p wengines. So yah. It is easy. Just need to be able to time those perfect dodges and assists
between hsr,zzz and genshin ,as low spender(i usually just bought bp+daily only for the first few months) ,i think i got max rank/star fastest in zzz ,just within a month .just build 2 dps(lvl60) and others can stay at 45 ,that was pretty much it .
With lvl 50+ Zhu Yuan and Jane I think it is easy, f2p or not. For people with 60+ days playtime and smart team investment (2 well built dps) you can probably still brute force it without them as long as you are not playing into resistances.
Honestly out of all games ZZZ has the easiest release endgame. However my experience may be skewed as a f2p with a w1 Ellen and a w1 Jane i can clear everything easily with max stars
Just cleared this with my level 60 Zhu Yuan and Jane Doe, level 45 Qingyi and Seth, and lv40 Nicole and Lucy. It was a breeze. No mindscape for main DPS and only f2p w-engines.

I try to save around 180 - 200 k chromes to M6 R5 any limited 5 Star dps which i really love. I play HSR/GI and in both games im more about vertical investment. This time i try full f2p non wishing to get one in my lifetime a whale level character. :D
S ranked it with a Zhu Yuan/Anby/Nicole on one side and Piper/Koleda/Lucy on the other. Zhu Yuan has her weapon and no mindscapes. Its mostly just getting lucky with wi decent disks I think.
other hoyo games is just team building check ,zzz actually has a skill check(the shiyu defense without timer) which is pretty much harder than all hoyo games so far.

F2P should alrady clear it, if you not invest in all characters at the same time, i only get 2 bp and invest in all characters at same time and clear last 3 SD for all S rank. Before i get BP i get 4/7 S without problems in first SD rotation. And i still use only 6 units while invest tons of recources to other that i never used. IF you are f2p just put everything in 2 teams and you will beat it witout any problems.
Sadly I don't have Zhu Yuan, for soukaku the best 2 builds for her to me 1- 4 discs swing jazz + 2 shockstar jesco / portal (DISC4 ATK%, DISC5 ICE, DISC6 IMPACT) 2- 4 discs shockstar jesco + swing jazz I am using her signature w-engine and she is C6. Now I am working on Seth he is C5
Last shinyu defense 1st team I beat with quigyi Nicole and Anton too me a few times to get it down but 2 nd team was all Jane and Seth with enough time 1st encounter took the longest to get down
I still have Dennies left over after building 3 lvl 60 DPS and semi-building 4 supports plus Anby and Seth. I essentially have 3 teams ready to go. That said my level books have been a real struggle, can't get around farming some of those. With that said this weekend was the first time I S-ranked node 7, so I can imagine others would struggle if they had bad luck or didn't get the BP for the resources. That's usually the key to Hoyo games, get the first 2 or 3 BP's then after that you won't have any resource drought ever again unless you're pulling and building every single character. $5 pass if you want the ability to pull every other character basically.
I don’t know what to farm anymore so i’m just farming to level 60 my supports lol. enemies in this game is very matchup dependant. Wether it’s element, or it’s like Razor where he just combust if you apply anomaly trigger to him.
As a true F2P I've been able to full-S Shiyu Defense for the last 2 cycles. The first one took having a built Ellen Joe and Zu Yuan, and the most recent one was actually really fast at about 3:30 with my Jane Doe and Zu Yuan teams.
What does it take to full clear? Jane doe that’s it 😂 Fr tho she’s busted with her 2 dodges, and high damage, I be clearing in under a minute with her at E0S1

To me Shiyu Defense feels easier then Abyss in Genshin, might be just because it's still early in the game's life, but once you get decent-ish discs and solid teams it's not too bad.

Agreed. I used Corin on one half and, while she didn't clear as fast as Ellen on the other half, she definitely was more than enough to S-Rank that b*tch. The funny thing is that my disk builds are okay, nothing stellar at all in either side. My Qingyi has three level 0 disks in her build lol.
Honestly, I'd like for that other Shiyu Defense, the one with unlimited time and enemies that hit really hard, to also be repeatable. I think harder enemies with unlimited time is more fun than easier enemies that you need to beat in X amount of time.
@@AverieS820 agreed. I used a level 51 jane doe with a level 10 seth and level 10 lucy with no drive discs and i was still able to S rank up to frontier 6 and A rank frontier 7. Just need to master the timing in those perfect assists and dodges and you're good in this game. Abyss in genshin is a whole different beast compared to this one.
In Genshin, I can full stars in version 2.6
In HSR I can full MoC in 1.7
In ZZZ I already full S Shiyu Defense just in first phase on 1.1

Honestly Shiyu Defense really isn't too bad as long as you have 2 decently built DPS characters at lvl 60 and 1-2 stunners (depending on the DPS you're using).
Last SD cycle was the first one I managed to clear all stages with S Rank and it was mainly because I got Jane Doe for my second side. Up until that point I'd been using a level 40 Corin and it was a REAL struggle. The amount of difference leveling a character to 60 makes is enormous.
I kind of regret not getting Zhu Yuan because anytime there is an ether/ice weakness I literally have nothing. I plan on getting the Samurai Fox girl though

the biggest issue i personally felt until getting one of the limited characters is simply that all shiyu defense 7 so far had one side with physical resistance, most of our accessible chars are physical

Also a good f2p advice is that you don't really need to focus on weaknesses with S rank characters. They are enough enough to clear any floor but only if the said floor has no resistance to that element. Yes it will be longer but is perfectly doable. That's how I cleared all SD wtih S ranks by the beginning of 1.1. With A ranks you preferably need the element weakness though.
yeah i only use 1 S rank agent (zhuyuan) and go with piper corin lucy on the other team
u could replace zhuyuan with ellen no problem
ZZZ endgame is much easier than the other 2 hoyo games
edit - Yeah we will see how it goes later on, but for now comparing all 3 for starting endgame ZZZ is way easier than the other 2 hands down.
From my experience in all 3 ZZZ requires way less investment in characters for full clear too compared them.

@@Dminatr-rr4qu Its more about story progress for newer players. I had a tough time against Aventurine as well cuz my i started playing in 2.1 and everything was undergear and underlevelt. Was kinda annoying that i couldn´t progress the Story and missing Boss Materials etc.

i agree though, i was able to clear Shiyu way faster than i was able to clear abyss (cleared on 2.X) and MoC (cleared on 1.2) when i started Genshin and HSR on 1.0.
Struggled but finally cleared shiyu defence earlier this week and i totally agree with looking at the enemy instead of your own character! felt abit like driving haha
Took me 3 patches from when I started to 36* abyss in Genshin, I got it on Hu Tao release back in 1.3. For ZZZ I was able to full clear Shiyu before Jane came out, with only Zhu Yuan as a limited character, and then Soldier 11 on the other side. Leveling characters feels rough in ZZZ but because our teams don't require as many, its not too bad. Tuning disks helps a lot too.

Here in zzz I got zy and a cracked corin, fortunately the rng gods blessed her discs, so this shiyu was fairly easy
Remember everyone, this game is only 2 months old, don't try to force rush endgame content because you are trying to compare you're account progress with others in a PvE only game
For me you can get away with 2.5 minute clear on one side with a limited DPS even if the enemy is resistant to their element, for 4 star DPSes you'd want their most valuable mindscapes to even get close to a 2.5 minute clear and the enemy NEEDS to be weak to their element

you can turn on manual chain attack and whenever you see an attack is going to chain the enemy that you dont want just hold down the button the there will also be no slow-mo
my luck in zzz is shit. i only have qingyi as character event, but i still can full star the shiyu defense with team 1: anton (m6)- qingyi(m0) - nicole (m2) and team 2: piper (m2) - seth (m2) - lucy (m2). and i can say that shiyu defense more more easier than spiral abyss in genshin IMO.

This is a cool video! Loved your tips, though for me im not in a rush. I'm IK Level 53 and still havent started grinding for discs as im trying to get my character levels and skills good before that.
I have did some Shiyu and stop once i dont fufill requirements for running a stage and just go back to working on characters. Though i love i can go at my own pace but love seeing everyones experience so far in the game.
Being able to target certain disk drives through the music shop made getting gear much quicker in comparison to Genshin. Probably has a good amount to do with why people were able to clear all seven stages sooner than Genshin with the Abyss

in ZZZ only endgame that can cause trouble are: shiyu (with 8 floors and no time limit) and nest 11/11. first one because u need to dodge/parry or you screwed, and second due to random in hollow (you have to plan your moves and resonias), however with jane doe release (and i can foresee with future agents) - i can be sure that any and every endgame content will be easily cleared with highest rank (i'm playing mobile btw :DD). so yeah you can go billy-piper-lucy for 2nd side (to cause assault & disorder more frequently), and whatever you got for 1st side (S11, Koleda, Sharky, Zhy, etc.).
p.s. some 4* w-engines are cracked and quite competitive with signature 5* w-engines
- In Genshin it took me more than one year to 36* abyss iirc.
- In HSR it took me maybe half a year to full star MoC consistently.
- While in ZZZ I did my first full S rank clear yesterday. And my characters aren't even fully leveled yet. Dps's are 55 lvl, supports are 50, all weapons are 50 lvl and drive disks are pretty mid, also not even fully leveled.
So far, the game is much easier than previous Hoyo titles at release. I'm sure it will get harder as time goes on. They already introduced Jade Doe and Mountain lion bosses that have varied move sets and hit like a truck. Just hope they don't go the Genshin route - simply inflate HP+Attack value to make enemies spongier and call it a day.
I guess I'm just bad cuz I'm about the same except DPS at 60 and still can't clear floor 7.
I think Genshin also took me a year but HSR I was clearing by 1.1. Maybe I just suck at action games these days, too old haha

Though pretty sure I'll be able to A rank it at least, so it's still better than when I barely got 3 stars in floor 11 of GI's abyss.

Lots of people can't do a full star clear even now. Heck, I sometimes stop trying to get 9 star floor 12 even now. Very rarely, but still. Especially hate it when they get several chonky shielded electro Abyss Lecters in there. F+cking despise those guys.

I was able to easily S-rank with the same teams you used (only difference was lucy instead of soukaku), while still learning how to properly play Jane. It seems to me that shinyu will be mostly about character selection, as long as you keep at least a competent team around involving each of the elements so you can exploit type weaknesses, you'll be good to go. And since so far it seems the bosses only ever have one type resistance, as long you as you have 3 competent teams based on different elements, you will have a decent chance at exploiting the weakness in one side, while not being hindered by the resistance of the other side
I’ve been super lucky f2p to have zhu yuan, qingyi, AND Jane and Seth and had just broke the ik50 cap to start making my DPS level 60. Shiyu 7 this cycle was a breeze and now I’m trying to see what I can do without limited banner characters (which are where most of my investments are rn)
I think we're just getting to the point where day 1 free 2 play players should be built enough or close to being built enough to get S in Shiyu defense, assuming they picked up 1-2 of the limited 5 stars and aren't saving it all for Miyabi, lol. I cleared it pretty comfortably with Ellen on one side and Zhu Yuan on the other, but definitely got super lucky with my free 2 play pulls to get both of them.
I'm a person who don't like try hard to clear content, you will eventually be able to clear it.
But having jane really make things easy for me.
I sign repeat left click macro on my mouse and just hold the button, press dodge once in a while. Her play style is ridiculous. 😂
being an f2p player who got really luck at release getting m1u1 Ellen and a m6 Anton with a m2 Grace (she is m3 now) I managed to win my first shiyu defense 7 in the previous version after getting Jane and Seth, grinded a bit and got an S rank. And in the current version I kinda did half what I can do half what's intended for this cycle. I went on the first half with Ellen, Anby (I still don't have Lycaon) and Soukaku, while in the second half I went with Jane, Seth and Grace, I won with about 5 seconds remaining to S rank this time
He says "F2P team" and pulls out Ellen and Lycaon in one team...
Ellen is basically unplayable imo without Lycaon in the top floors of SD, and it hurts even more as F2P if u don't have her W-Engine. She's hard benched for me in favor of Zhu Yuan and Jane.
@@bjornnilsson2941 Same experience. I rarely use Ellen anymore. I love her but Zhu Yuan and Jane is way more comfortable to use imo and dish out better damage if you are a F2p. I don't have any of their W-engine. I use 4* engines. And still my Zhu Yuan-Anby-Nicole tem is going through the game comfortably.

I've only pulled an M0 Zhu Yuan and have 300 pulls saved currently. Despite this, I've had no trouble full clearing the last 3 shiyu 7s.
Team 1: Zhu Yuan, Anby, Nicole
Team 2: Soldier 11, Lucy, Ben
Idk about a fully built M6 Soukaku, but from my limited testing her chain attack is just bad, that's at 50 with at least fully leveled disks.
I use Ellen Qingyi Soukaku and build up 2 Soukaku stacks before building stun with Qingyi. On the final stunning hit of Qingyi I swap to Soukaku before it hits to avoid wasting time for Soukaku's spinspin and do another EX special on her to get the third stack and chain into Ellen. I then skip every chain attack and just stay on Ellen.
So at least prioritizing building the dps and support-buffs for asap S rank clears, chain attacks don't seem great. I figure once everyone is max level, decent max level disks, and high skills, chain attacks should become worth to do.
Granted I only compared 3 or 4 runs of skipping chains vs not skipping chains, but skipping them was always faster, even if not by that much.
I know these runs aren't meant to be perfect, but I thought I might as well toss my hat into the ring to help someone else improve their gameplay or spark a discussion. For context, I'm not a theory-crafter but I've been running burst-heavy characters like Zhu Yuan, Neko, and more recently Billy, so I'll primarily focus on the Billy run (might edit if I spot anything else during the other runs). These are just my opinions and personal experience with no real calcs to back them up, so keep that in mind.
Minor mistake at 7:26 whilst fighting the three crossbow Hollow raiders by not using Billy's chain attack to clear the mob wave, since Billy's additional ability grants him up to +100% Ultimate damage after two chain attacks from launching chain attacks himself (in which the second chain is done during the first daze window of the "Razor" boss). Personally, I would have used Nicole EX to group and debuff, then Anby EX to stun, then chain into Billy (hopefully that kills).
Minor mistake at 8:20 and 9:09 Billy is actually considered in the "Crouching Shot" state the moment he does the flip after his standing shots, and he doesn't lose this state until he goes back into "neutral", which is to saying being able to run around like normal before you start attacking. This means that the moment you see Billy flip you can EX, then Ultimate immediately after the EX's second shot (I do this since I run Woodpecker Electro on my Billy currently) and still benefit from the "Crouching shot" state. Just keep in mind that any time you can just run around with Billy you'll need to re-enter the "Crouching shot" state if you want the buffs from it. You'll also notice at the 9:09, during the stun phase, Nicole's debuff runs out before Billy finishes his Ultimate, which loses him some damage as well. Now in my personal rotation, the window is still pretty tight, so if you have M1 Nicole you can hold her EX just a bit to squeeze out some extra debuff duration by extending the time her Blackhole stays on the field.
By far the biggest mistake, imo, is after 9:14 during the third stun buildup phase. Billy is a burst character and heavily relies on his Ultimate for damage, so notice how much damage he just did in the daze window at 9:14 and compare it to how much damage was done during the stun window at 9:40, the difference is like night and day. So what is wrong with how this last phase was handled? The irony is actually stunning too fast. For burst characters, my general philosophy is to build up decibels to a level where you can reasonably have the Ultimate by the end of your chain attacks every rotation, which is about 2200 decibels- give or take a couple hundred depending on your team. Of course, there will be times where you are capping out on decibels a little and that's fine. But that's a lot of yapping from me, so what could have been done in this scenario? For one, more Defensive OR Evasive assists could have been used (only one was used during this third stun buildup), especially Evasive assists from Billy simply because Anby puts out so much daze. Evasive assists generally do less daze than Defensive assists (which grants you a larger window to build decibels), and they ALWAYS cost one assist point when you are fighting bosses, assuming you don't have a character with Enhanced Defensive assists (think Ben, Anton, Soukaku), which reduce Defensive assist cost down to one against bosses. Evasive assists still generate about the same amount of decibels as a Defensive assist, so if you've done too much daze and still need more decibels, definitely try leveraging Evasive assists for decibels.

As a 1.0 genshin player it took me a year until I can 36 star abyss, with ZZZ it just took me Zhu Yuan, Anby, Nicole | Anton, Grace, Rina, in the first half of 1.1
I use my premium Jane Doe and Zhu Yuan teams for Shiyuu but I imagine Nicole and Soukaku can help well for ftp. If you have one of the limited, one half should be good. 👍

I'm surprised he didn't use Anby for the team... like she works well if all honesty with the Jane/Seth duo so having Anby there would make the team worth it even though its a single Physical and two Electric characters
Shiyu def isnt that hard once u get the hang of it, usually it will take a few resets until you get the enemies perfectly grouped and saving time on rotations, it's hard to get S rank on 7th nodes since the enemies are sponges (and deal a decent amount of damage)
but it's possible as long as your characters are getting upgraded in an efficient way
The hardest thing for me is grinding for artifacts/material daily seems so much slower than Genshin or HSR because the enemies are beefier which means I skip most days and haven't been able to challenge Abyss/MOC equivalent
Definitely easier than the abyss was at the start of genshin, and much much easier than the current or recent abyss cycles.
I've already reached a point where I can clear Shiyu Defense with the characters I have, so now I'm focusing on optimizing those characters so I can clear it every rotation without sweating too hard. I'll be saving my Polys for a later patch, so it should give me enough time to perfect whoever I've got at present.

@@joshuajackson5203 it does, ATK also contributes to Anomaly damage on top of Anomaly Proficiency. Those are the two stats you wanna focus on with Anomaly DPSes.
I thought my M1 Ellen was strong until I saw that Zhu Yuan run..
Previous SD i was able to clear with Zhuyuan + Qingyi + Nicole and Piper + Koleda + Lucy quite easily and did it first try.
now i got Jane, i cleared it with even more ease lol, I got like 2 mins+ left to spare lol
I'm F2P & it's been pretty easy for my account ever since the nerf.
My two teams are:
M0 W0 Zhu Yuan/M0 W0 Qingyi/M6 Nicole
M1 W1 Soldier 11/M6 Ben/M5 Lucy
I think a bit of investment goes a long way. Zhu players are also at a big advantage over Ellen players. Ellen was always a trap imo as a beta player who knew Zhu was crazy for a 1.0 character.
stat in this game are very differnt and easier to min max, ellen give you 100% cdm for her basic atk which her main source dmg. zhuyuan core give her critrate etc
abyss 12 is still harder to 3 star.
however beating critical node 7 without proper investment (lvl 50 dps, lvl 50 supps) is definetely way harder because there's a significant damage penalty in this game for being underleveled
The main thing screwing me over is that BOTH my main DPS units are physical (Billy and Jane) so whenever there is a physical resistance boss it takes eons longer, I probably could have S ranked all the floors this cycle fully F2P if not for the final floor having a physical resistant enemy, it’s also why I’m trying to build Anton so that I can at least deal neutral damage, (I also really regret not getting Zhu Yuan, not only would she fix my dps problem but she also looks super fun to play)
no other anomoly characters you can use as dps? i've seen a seth dps build that looked fun, assuming you have him. i haven't tried it because i'd rather him buff zhu yuan, grace or jane. slap an attack engine and discs on someone you like and roll with it
I haven't been able to get passed floor 5 so far. Realistically, it's probably because I'm still building characters. Without refreshing in this game, building characters takes SIGNIFICANTLY longer than every other gacha game I play. Character progression is very, very slow in ZZZ.
I don't feel like it, to gather all resources for a character in genshin it takes ~20 days of resin, without taking into account artifacts, zzz is similar I think(I never did the actual math for zzz), maybe skills take longer but artifacts are much easier
@@RafaelCDinardi Yes the drive disk part is often overlooked. It's soooo much easier getting a passable to good set in ZZZ. Even optimal pieces should be a lot easier (I've already got several, but no full set). Sure right now we're extremely pressed for basic resources but give it another 3-6 months and even F2P will likely be swimming in lvl books and dennies. That's how both Genshin and HSR were.
Played since the beginning and I have 8 lvl 60 characters/weapon with the right mean stat for each of them. I guess some people are just focusing too much on disc like you would do in Genshin/HSr but you really only need the main stat in zzz. At least for now
idk but my experience with character progression is actually the fastest in zzz like I have 5 different functional teams already. Maybe disk drive farming is just better somehow, or I just got lucky like 20 times in a row farming for pieces lol
@@grass7560 I think that’s cope. It’s very slow. Just leveling a character to 60 takes fucking forever, and I keep running out of denny and character and w-engine exp constantly too.
I haven't tried the new Shiyu that just dropped, but I did manage to S-rank across the board on the last one this weekend. For me it was the second team archetype (minus Qingyi who I lost 50/50 to, m6 Anby instead), but it looked like the first archetype in terms of clear speed. I think I had 10 seconds remaining before I woulda lost the S on floor 7. Jane(M0)/Seth(M1)/Lucy(M3) and Zhu Yuan(M1)/Anby(M6)/Nicole(M5). Both DPS are on craftable A-rank W-engines. I don't what I'm doing wrong to just be scraping by with those teams, I feel like my drive discs are well above average... That Zhu Yuan run in the vid looked like cheating to me lol, no amount of crit subs could make that magic happen. Same with other runs I've seen with like Billy clearing node 7 in 30 sec.
edit: To be fair this was S-ranking on the first try with no resets maybe I could have had a full minute to spare if I'd really tried to optimize the fight or whatever.
Hey guys, is it worth getting back into ZZZ in 1.2?
For context:
I played throughout ellen joe’s phase and abt a week or so of zhuyuan’s phase and got zhuyuan. I quite enjoyed the combat tbh and i liked the characters. I quit, however, because i didnt want to drop hsr, wuwa or genshin and honestly 4 gacha games is kinda crazy. Also i thought the game had too little stuff to do at the time and some qol (such as the speedup tv thingy not being reset after every battle) still needed to be added for me to fully enjoy the gameplay. Also also i didnt like the story that much.
I’ve heard nothing but praise for 1.1 (or what little i’ve seen of it) and a ton of hype for 1.2, seen a ton of hype around the new character. Hsr and wuwa are in a bit of a dry state and i feel this would honestly be a pretty good time to start playing again. But i want to ask people here; is it actually worth playing rn? Also, did any of the things i said above get fixed/added?
This being said i did hear that wuwa is getting an update like 2-3 days after zzz’s and it’s on the same day as Genshin anniversary, so that’s gonna be a crazy few days. Good thing im on holiday rn lol.

Total clear time of 4mins. Still have 1 minute to spare. Take note that this tine can be improved further if I have better discs. Means that you can still make a slightly weaker team than this and still clear it.
I just clear Shiyu 7 with :
Team 1: Team 1: Zhu Yuan, Anby, Nicole
Team 2: Piper, Koleda, Lucy.
I honestly thought I didn't have what it takes... Until I got to the final one and got an A rank without realizing it. I only have 2 S-rank characters (Grace and Jane) and 2 S-rank W-Engines. My takeaway is... Anby is way better than I thought... Especially at C6.
check midamishi's run. he finish this with solo M0 brimstone zhu yuan, and solo M6 Billy! and the crazy thing is No damage was taken!
Not exactly F2P but it was pretty easy to clear with a Neko/Piper/Lucy + Lycaon/Rina/Anton even with my extremely bad substat discs.
I feel horrible Jane took me to 81 pity... Then I lost 50/50 then took me 76 pity... Jeez Jane didn't know you didn't want to come home...

I wouldn't say shiyu defence is very hard. I was completely f2p until 2 days ago, but before buying welkin and BP I cleared the max levels for all 3 modes on S rank.
My teams were Ellen Qingyi c6 Soukaku and sharkboo on one side, Soldier 11 Koleda c4 Ben and Safety on the other side.
No hamster cages used, not particularly skilled, the only 5 star weapon was lycon signature lvl 50 on Koleda. I didn't grind the game too much, because I have not done exploration quests since lvl 35, and I stopped doing hollow zero a month ago because it was too boring.
If I can do it, most people can.
Yeah using 1 limited char, maybe even 2 is still within f2p. On average , ppl should have 2 limiteds by now .
On the other hand, it's unlikely f2ps have a lycaon yet. Games gonna push koleda
Minimum is 1 ether char on first half and 1 physical anomaly char on second half + 1 stun, 1 suppourt for each half recomended but not needed.
as f2p and quite lucky its kinda easier for me to clear Shiyu defense than MoC in HSR back then, Abyss in genshin, or even Tower in WuWa. the investment i out in ZZZ not that high but the limited character really help. Having Ellen Zhu yuan for now is enough and having qingyi cherry on the top stuner. and not money spend, back in HSR i can Clear MoC on Blade banner fully 10 floor back then, with same time i spend on ZZZ so uea its quite easy. in genshin, on Hutao banner which is 3/4 month because elemental. check and i dont have any pyro dps.
Critical node is extremely easy. I don’t even bother switching teams between floors to account for resistance. I am a f2p player.
I’ve cleared abyss since 2.0, 4.0 I was finally consistently speed running abyss. Critical node feels like 2 year deep genshin account.
What? "Impossible for F2P"? It wasn't bad, like, I imagine it can be hard with only A-Ranks, but screw that, I rather it be MANDATORY to have S-Ranks, because if I can 100% everything with A-Ranks, then what is the point of pulling for S-Ranks? Already had this situation on genshin, don't want any other games to follow in it's footsteps, because it's straight up UNREALISTIC to always measure with no S-Ranks as if some people didn't have any

Edit: so the "impossible" kinda clickbait, thought as much, but my point stands, i dont want this game to be dumb easy, there's plenty of things that could be optimized gameplay-wise like cancelling animations, quickswaping, etc, but if the game doesn't offer a challenge that needs me to properly learn those mechanics, im not going to because it would be pointless, and that will be frustrating if the game stays easy
I'm a very low spender (2 IK memberships) and I have been to clear rhis rotation easily. Didnt even have to use my fully built Zhu
my piper and chlorine team is da best to clear lvl 70 floor with 3 star as F2P.

Pretty much just a fucking Zhu Yuan f2p team and a well built Jane doe because I was literally able to solo the 2nd half of shiyu defense just with her alone.

i kinda hoped youd try with piper. Mine is level 60 and managed a sub 2:30 clear and didnt even notice until afterwards her disk drives are only levels 6-12. Shes basically built for the second half assuming you dont have a jane doe but even then she does just fine.

I think Lucy and Piper would've worked better with Billy. People underestimate them so much.
The problem is that piper and billy are fighting for on field time, I'd rather use the full cunning hares
Yeah I’m stuck at getting A rank on 5 and haven’t pushed it further. I don’t have any limited 5* dps so my main dps units atm are Anton and Piper. It looks like there is a huge disparity between 5* dps and 4* dps, but I also think my lack of levels + mindscapes play into this as well. I also do chain attacks with the bangboo because both of my main dps units require energy to attack so chains help me conserve energy.
Shiyu is a lot easier. I'm f2p and i was able s rank up to level 6 and a rank level 7 with a ellen, lycaon, c1 sukaku with f2p wengines. And a level 51 joe dane with a level 10 lucy and level 10 seth woth no drive engines and f2p wengines. So yah. It is easy. Just need to be able to time those perfect dodges and assists
between hsr,zzz and genshin ,as low spender(i usually just bought bp+daily only for the first few months) ,i think i got max rank/star fastest in zzz ,just within a month .just build 2 dps(lvl60) and others can stay at 45 ,that was pretty much it .
Yup same ZZZ endgame is so much easier than the other games
With lvl 50+ Zhu Yuan and Jane I think it is easy, f2p or not. For people with 60+ days playtime and smart team investment (2 well built dps) you can probably still brute force it without them as long as you are not playing into resistances.
i use Ellen M0,qingyi M0,Soukaku M6 for 7-1 and Soldier 11 M0,Koleda M0,Lucy M1 for 7-2 manage to clear in 3min 51secs
Honestly out of all games ZZZ has the easiest release endgame. However my experience may be skewed as a f2p with a w1 Ellen and a w1 Jane i can clear everything easily with max stars
I have some insane amount of skill issues against the rampant brute . Died like 10 times and gave up
Just cleared this with my level 60 Zhu Yuan and Jane Doe, level 45 Qingyi and Seth, and lv40 Nicole and Lucy. It was a breeze.
No mindscape for main DPS and only f2p w-engines.

I try to save around 180 - 200 k chromes to M6 R5 any limited 5 Star dps which i really love. I play HSR/GI and in both games im more about vertical investment. This time i try full f2p non wishing to get one in my lifetime a whale level character. :D
S ranked it with a Zhu Yuan/Anby/Nicole on one side and Piper/Koleda/Lucy on the other. Zhu Yuan has her weapon and no mindscapes. Its mostly just getting lucky with wi decent disks I think.

other hoyo games is just team building check ,zzz actually has a skill check(the shiyu defense without timer) which is pretty much harder than all hoyo games so far.

F2P should alrady clear it, if you not invest in all characters at the same time, i only get 2 bp and invest in all characters at same time and clear last 3 SD for all S rank. Before i get BP i get 4/7 S without problems in first SD rotation. And i still use only 6 units while invest tons of recources to other that i never used. IF you are f2p just put everything in 2 teams and you will beat it witout any problems.
makes me wonder how long before people make standard banner/A rank only or even no pull accounts that clear content like people did in genshin

Last shinyu defense 1st team I beat with quigyi Nicole and Anton too me a few times to get it down but 2 nd team was all Jane and Seth with enough time 1st encounter took the longest to get down

I still have Dennies left over after building 3 lvl 60 DPS and semi-building 4 supports plus Anby and Seth. I essentially have 3 teams ready to go. That said my level books have been a real struggle, can't get around farming some of those. With that said this weekend was the first time I S-ranked node 7, so I can imagine others would struggle if they had bad luck or didn't get the BP for the resources. That's usually the key to Hoyo games, get the first 2 or 3 BP's then after that you won't have any resource drought ever again unless you're pulling and building every single character. $5 pass if you want the ability to pull every other character basically.

enemies in this game is very matchup dependant. Wether it’s element, or it’s like Razor where he just combust if you apply anomaly trigger to him.

If you can't S rank side 2 with the cunning hares with M6 billy, that is just skill issue.
As a true F2P I've been able to full-S Shiyu Defense for the last 2 cycles. The first one took having a built Ellen Joe and Zu Yuan, and the most recent one was actually really fast at about 3:30 with my Jane Doe and Zu Yuan teams.
Calling 3 limited 5 stars back-to-back banner teams a F2P is wild.
