    Not to say he is wrong or right but him as a Xhosa man i would like to hear more about his own nation history. I am yearning for other tribes to tell their history. When Zulus talk about themselves some people get offended and say why is it that only Zulus have history. I am still waiting for a person who will come in and educate us about the history of other tribes in South Africa. We hear too much about Zulus and nothing about other tribes even from the people who come from those tribes don't want to talk about their tribes.
    I do appreciate new information but i think we need to know that before there was Shaka, there was someone called Zulu. Shakas real name is Sgidi kaSenzangakhona no reference of Zulu father there. Zulu was a name of a person that existed generations before Shaka (Sgidi). I think he focused on Shaka without starting at the beginning of the lineage leading to Shaka to conclude that Zulu is a creation of the British empire.
    In actual fact other clans under the Zulu kingdom still have chiefs in their own lands. Maybe we must look at how unity should have been under an older ancestor that is common to all Zulu people and not under Zulu. Just a thought.

    John Robert Dunn came in the times of King Cetshwayo who reigned in 1856 and was made chief after being a close diplomatic and trade ambassador for the Zulus and Colonial Countries. He was given an ultimatum to disown the Zulu Kingdom after the wars and chose to align with Britain and was awarded land by the Colonies where he took wives and made them all Christians and exempted black people. The Zulu Kingdom though is older than King Cetshwayo's reign. What he is saying is true, we do have a lot of Black Mixed race Zulu people whom themselves have been denied the history of their forefathers and some who actually know it as its not that old but choose to ignore it just like how some Coloured Mixed race ignore their Black history and acknowledge only their White or Khoi/San/Nama history. But all the Zulu families of Dunn were Christians and grew their families in Missionaries and became Exempted Blacks/Zulus back then seen as collaborators of the colonial masters. This is the part he forgot to mention that the Zulu Kingdom started before the 1600s by Luzumana kaMnguni/Ngoni. But he is saying the truth and just lacks aligning or articulating what he wanted to say and misled people. Malandela kaLuzumana divided the kingdom into two clans, the Qwabe and the Zulu and this is when the Kingdom was officially born in the 1700s. This is the proper lineage outside insango. Sigidi kaSenzangakhona (King Shaka) only started his reign in 1816 of the Zulu clan after killing Sigujana kaSenzangakho to ascend to the already existing Zulu kingdom. Shaka then consolidated other kingdoms and chiefdoms into the Zulu kingdom through diplomacy or war. Hayi insango has no problem, the problem is the person who abuses it 🤣🤣🤣

    This is so painful that a man from the street can speak with our kingdom like this. He is not a renowned Afrikan historian, not an academic. I don’t know why he chooses to speak about the Zulu Kingdom when he is a Xhosa Rastafarian. Zulu Nation was never promoted by the British settlers. Britain tried everything to wipe away our kingdom, even today they are fighting to finish us as the Zulu Nation in South Africa. In one day on the 22nd of January 1879 British Army killed more than 10 000 Zulus at the Battle of Isandlwana. We nevertheless defeated them in that day. Before that war, we had many battles with both Afrikaners and British Armies. The likes of Blood River Battles, and many more before Isandlwana under King Dingane. Even nowadays in the 1990”s British propagandists caused a war in South Africa to get rid of the Zulus, about. 12000 Zulus died in the process. They failed to finish us. We fought a lot to keep a name of the province. They wanted to remove a name Zulu in the name of the province. We ended up having a compromised name of KwaZulu Natal. They changed the name of Radio Zulu to be Ukhozi FM to move away from this name. Yes we have a family of John Dunn in KZN, even today they are coloureds. They stay in Mangethe, Mandeni under INkosi Mathaba eMacambini. That clan cannot institute even 1% of the Zulus. We are 16 million as the Zulus in South Africa, Dunn family still uses that surname and they are not more than 200.

    • @SiphiwoMtwebana
      @SiphiwoMtwebana 3 месяца назад

      The problem was that, with written history it was easy for invaders to lay their hands on it and learn things about our secrets(knowledge)as it was not meant for outsiders (non blacks) then.
      So our elders resorted to verbal information,to some extent,even passing it through DNA or the all(consciousness) to protect it from non blacks.
      Non blacks invaded Africa, went into our libraries, killed the elders and the griots, by so doing they were ensuring that future generations are left with no information at all.
      With the information they so brutally stole, they went in different places to open their organisations( free masonry,Illuminati, brotherhood etc)
      That is why most blacks know nothing about who they are, where they come from, and most importantly about their history!
      So let's keep on learning, if it resonate with you, good. You can always rely on common sense! Peace

      The Zulu people were in Africa before the whites, but the whites were in western cape long before any black tribe. I exclude the koi and San people who there when the whites arrived so for any black tribe to claim South Africa belongs to them is false , they have ownership in a way to land northwards of the line in the sand and the boers ownership south of the line in the sand on the day the two met on that faithful day. The whites colonised the original inhabitants the koi and San they were there when they arrived and the blacks ( Zulu ) colonised the various weaker Bantu tribes that were in their path when they moved south . Those are the ugly facts and true history.

      No the Zulu and the Sotho and Pedi were a forced to be reckoned with they beat the British in many battles although they lost the wars hence they were rewarded respect from the British hence when they took ZULU LAND they didn’t use Zulu people to do the slave work (they declined) but they used indentured slaves from India that’s responsible for the current Indian population then they turned Lesotho into a British protectorate meaning mshoeshoe could still rule over Lesotho region and the Pedi beat the Boers and British with Skoekoene (name might be spelled wrong) although the Swati ended up selling them out that’s another strory then their history as a nation was overshadowed by the Boers who turned Pedi land into transvaal then later expanded into now modern day Gauteng (lots of holes in my story but that’s the summary)

    • @Eddymaf
      @Eddymaf 3 месяца назад

      The plight plight of Zulu indepence was more known than the anc.The initial liberation of the zulu from britian and succision from south africa as a country was more internationally know hence the anc was formed initially by the Zulu hence prixley ka Seme was sent by the Zulu Royal family to go abroad.Then Later Mangosutho appointed as Prime Minister of the zulu nation.Oliver Tambo and Joe Modise wre shocked abroad when Mangosutho got a standing ovasion as he represented hence some members of the anc had to reduce Buthelezi's strength as thry felt sidelined hence his betrayal by Oliver Tambo and. They felt a strong Zulu presence within the anc.To save south africas economy uthelezi was favoured to becime President if South Africa.Wich alot of non zulu anc members were opposed to it and approached and convinced america to support the anc and not Mangosutho Initially both Britain and America were in favour of Mangosutho especially Britain but later britain helt back as America supportd the anc.Most of what people think thry know is not true.There are no xhosa people its a buch of seperate clans thatvwere grouped by the British xhosa is not a nation its a british arrangement .Similar to Batswana the mapedinbecame a nation after mzilikazi lost there war he was incharge of huge areas lin limpopo mpumalanga gauteng touching portion of the north west he was a leader of a small clan barote who origimate from betweennzimbabwe and zambia ,the basotho as a nation where formed a bit later after shaka had already mobilised his people so to say the zulu are the youngest is a political.ply or laziness and peoole must syop following mapinga snd the faje king bhungane those a gaslighter and some of these fake historians are fundef by ngo's.The shona was never a nation just a grouping classified as the ethnic peoole found in zimbabwe by Mzilikazi so the shona as a nation are younger that the zulu even.Idrologies can twist .Xhosa history is basef on fabrications and bapedi git guns from the boers and some of their groups assisted thr nritish in only one major war wich was the voirtrekker ndebele war.Those vetwern mapefi and the europeans were mini battles also amongs the different xhosa clans.Shaka was a monarch you cannot compare his leader shief to that of leaders of small clans.This guy needs to inform himself and understand linguistic and stop fabricating history to suite his people.Shaka was the chosen one.Guys remember most of thr information on shows like penuel is personsl opinion not factvesoecially informarion on the social media and youtube channels.And people have a way of depicting information in a manner of being bias and making assumtions to boost their egos.Prople very well thos guest wa pota

    Even if the Zulu’s became a unite nation during the British period it’s still a nation. Many states and nations that we know today came to be within the last 6 to 500 years. Japan, Italy and many others were once small warring factions that only recently came to form a collective state. Even the British at one point was made up of small tribal regions that only started to unite and became a nation from the 1400’s.
