I would name it Memories. It brings back memories of your Dad, and of Cameraman Ron, plus your making new memories. So that’s what I would name it. Maybe “Sweet Memories”….
Congrats! Make lots of memories. The story of Houston’s first fish was incredible. It’s like your Dad was shining down on you in that moment saying “Good job, son”
@@jansenferguson4584 Yea, that works. I was just suggesting the name Memories and then he could incorporate any other words he wants. I mean he could use “Our Memories”. It’s just a suggestion. I’m sure he will come up with a name that means something to him.
Father and Son Special Day. A memorable story of your Dad that was never forgotten by you, and now Houston will never forget your special story that was shared with him on you all new boat and first catch. Love your family ❤
Such a sweet story. No doubt your dad was right there with you with a huge grin on his face. Happy Fathers Day Daniel. Love the memories you are making with Houston. Congratulations on that beautiful new boat. You and DeJay work so hard, you all deserve it. Love to all❤️
I grew up with bass fever watching Jimmy Houston. It's such a blessing that Houston has Jimmy so close. Lots of memories will be made on that boat. I miss my daddy and going fishing with him.
Name it after your Dad. Congratulations on the new boat. Lots of fun memories to make with your son. Enjoy. Houston will always remember catching his first fish on it with his Grandpa's reel.
Congratulations on your new boat. And what a wonderful thing that Houston got to use the real that you gave your father on your new boat. You guys are an exemplary family. I love the sweetness of your young man and I love his confidence. God bless you all❤❤❤❤❤
The Grandpa story gave me shivers. How special. You've got a beautiful boat there Houston. You are blessed in many ways, and I know you realize that.☺🙏
You made a 61-year-old man cry.You brought back so many memories of me and dad. Thank you for what you do. May you have a blessed night with you and your family and I'll think of a name on the boat. I can see it now Houston. When he gets older and goes to college, he's gonna join the bass team.
Huston, did you hear the tremble in your dad's voice as he told you the importance of you using your grandfather's reel. Charish that moment and remember to show your dad the love he had for his dad
I believe this is my favorite video of all time. I wish growing up that I had this kind of relationship with my father. I have spent years trying to be closer with him. Thank you for letting some of us live through you all. God continue to bless this family.
Houston catching his first bass on your new boat with his grandfather’s reel that you bought him just had me tearing up. Just emotional today I guess. God bless
What a beautiful outro, the boat should be called something to honor your father. What an awesome father you are. Precious frozen moments in time, quality time with your son. God abundantly bless your family with love.
My Dad and me spent a lot of time fishing off shore (no boat) and those are some of the best memories. Also I pray that Houston uses sunblock, my FIL succumbed to skin cancer and my husband has been battling it for many years They spent every day in the hot Texas sun as young boys and men. Love that you shared this extra special time and brought some great memories to the surface for me as well. ❤
I also convinced my dad to buy a boat a few weeks ago for my high school fishing tournaments and we got a 2000 champion with a a 2019 Yamaha with 30 hour and all the hummingbird electronics it’s even the same color as y’all’s so good job and congrats Huston
Daddy's memories!!!! Sounds like a good tribute to your daddy! I wish all the time that I wish my children (2 boys) could have met my daddy. He died when i was 27. My sons are 34 and 37 now. All they know is his pictures and all the stories we have shared.
Daniel you are an awesome Dad. Y'all are making memories for ever. Houston is growing up in your footsteps and will be a good man just like you. God bless y'all. 🙏❤🙏❤
Just a helpful hint.If you travel anywhere over about 20 miles to go fishing,do not immediately back into the water.Let the boat trailer and your vehicle sit for about 20 minutes( hopefully in some shade). This will save you replacing bearings in your boat trailer and truck/car.Those bearings get very hot.
That’s why they make things like Bearing Buddies.I have owned 7 boats in my lifetime and I travel 30 miles to 75 miles and I have never had a single issue using Bearing Buddies and I have never once waited to launch my boat.
Congrats on your new boat. Gave me a warm memory of my dad & I when I was about 10 out on our very basic outboard boat at Clear Lake in California. My grandfather built a very basic cabin on the lake in 1923. Wish I still owned it. I only caught cat fish with a homemade bamboo pole but it was still fun! You are such a great dad!
Tomorrow 6 14 24 I'm teaching a fishing class, through my county park system, they asked me if I could bring a couple of spare rigs for kids that might not have one so looking through my gear I found a rod that belonged to my grandfather, and put a reel that I picked up at a swap meet on it, and a reel that was used by my late wife, so I put that on an ugly stick, and those are going to be used to teach with, and the next day, there is a family fishing day also put on by the park system though the weather is predicted to be very hot I hope that both events will be a big success.
What a Beautiful story about the Fishing Reel! That’s a memory that will Stick with Houston for years! I must say that’s a Beautiful Boat! I was thinking Blue Streak for a name! Can’t wait to see the next video! God Bless!
I don't know anything about bass boats, but I do love fishing. What I love the most is how you and Houston spend so much quality time together fishing. Congratulations on your new "toy!" Have fun!
It brought down tears in my eyes, listening to you tell Houston that story about your dad in the fishing reel. It reminds me of the year before my dad passed. He took all four of his daughters and my mom out fishing and that’s the first time he ever took all of us out us girls. It was a great memory.
Daniel, you went and made me cry again..... I'm so sentimental and you and Houston pulled at my hear strings, and Mike's, too. We've had 3 boats during our almost 49 years of marriage. The first two were recreational family type boats, bow riders; A 19 footer outboard when our kids were young, sold it, then a 28 foot in-board when they were teenagers and liked bringing their friends along. When I became sicker with ME/CFS and couldn't go boating anymore, and the expensive upkeep of the boat just wasn't worth it anymore, we sold it, too. Then life happened. We eventually moved from Fairfield County to Litchfield County in Connecticut. I encouraged Mike to get a small fishing boat, which proved to be helpful at improving mental health. We never put a name on any of our boats. But, if we did, it was going to be "Makin' Memories' because that is what has been the most important thing for us to do with our family. Mike and I are wishing for you to have many happy, healthy years with your sweet boat and your family. With love and prayers for you all, Donna in Spring Hill, Florida.
This video is the BEST! I have a picture of my oldest son at 2 orc3 years old. He'd gone camping with my parents at a lake, and Daddy caught a fish half the length as my son was tall! My son was proudly holding his Noonoon's fish and smiling to beat the band! My Dad always took my boys fishing with him. The youngest LOVES to fish. The oldest not so much. I'm glad y'all are making memories. I know boats are supposed to have female names, but I think either your Dad's name or what the kids would have called him would be a good name! Blessings abound!
You two have such a great bond, that a lot of kids wish for. Memories that will last a lifetime. He will talk with his kids about the great times with is dad.
THIS IS AWESOME. my dad finally got are bass boat out and we went swimming. this boat is 41 years old, and it is a skeeter, the boat goes more that 65 mph. lets just say its awesome! thanks for sharing.
I have lost track of how many bass boats our family have owned...its a good life and lots of fun. Make a lot of memories. Both of my grown sons still have bass boats, still fish a tournament once in awhile..
The boat is absolutely beautiful and love the significance of Houston catching his first fish on your new boat using uour Dad's reel and favorite lure. Absolutely wonderful. You and Houston have had so many great fishing memories and now there is opportunity for even more exciting adventures together. Ones that Houston will never ever forget and will some day pass along to his own son or daughter. So touching. Daniel, your Dad is looking down at you and Houston and is so very proud of you both.
I’m so happy for y’all. I was very touched, and a little choked up, by the story about Houston’s first bass on the new boat. I hope y’all have a fun and safe summer. I think it’s awesome how close y’all are as a family and that your kids get outside the house to do stuff. Your family is a blessing to watch.
Houston will turn into Flair jr. Before farm animals lol. Like when he used to be younger and fish 😅... I can see Houston having his own channel one day.
The two happiest days of a boat owner's life: The day he gets is, and the day he sells it. Too much fun right there. Congrats Dan'l. Boat name? "Bella"
Thanks for sharing your first time on your new boat. I especially liked that Houston's first catch was with your Dad/s reel and his favorite lure. I could tell that it meant something to Houston and expecially to you. We never really appreciate things done with our parents until they are gone and we have become parents ourselves. May God continue to bless the entire Arms family.
At the end I had tears in my eyes. It brought back memories of when my dad bought a new Newman v bottom skie boat with a 100 horse Johnson motor. We used to do a lot of crappie fishing from that boat when I was a teenager and dad would ski alot too. Now I am 68 and both parents gone. Oh the memories you brought back with that video. Love watching you and your family.
Daniel, you had me a little teary when you were talking about the pole,, lure, etc. Yesterday, I was watching the Rufus video yesterday and that made me laugh out loud. Good job Houston doing things with your Dad. Bless you.
The " BLUE VICTORY" just throwing it out there. I know what a special moment it had to be. 🎉 CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW BOAT 🎉 It is absolutely beautiful. I can see Houston telling his children one day a story like you told him .😊
Evening Daniel. I’ve been following for a long time now but this video touched me and got me all emotional when you started sharing with Houston how much it meant for him to catch his first fish with your dads reel and favourite lure. I am so happy for you all. Fabulous purchase to have an awesome time on and make fantastic new memories on. Can’t wait to follow along sometimes. Thanks for sharing awesome video. From start to finish. Take care God Bless. 💕🙏
The Blue Bird ( its a pretty Blue and it can fly) great name for a great boat for a wonder father and son to make memories you will never forget. Stories that can be told for years and years to come. Congratulations im alittle jealous. Its does wonders to watch a father be notting but wonderfully outstand to his family, it warms my heart. This world would be a much better place if we had more fathers, husbands, brothers and sons like you Mr Arms
I have a feeling our dads would have gotten along great. I think dad loved fishing more than he did us kids. He made his own graw crabs. Caught more on his home made than a TM he was gifted. He caught 2 fish at one time, and the newspaper did a story on it. Sadly, we lost dad in 2012 at the age of 94-1/2. Great memory to pass down to Houston.
Congratulations on your new boat. Houston catching his first bass on the new boat on the what you bought your Dad, how special. See you all having many great family times wether fishing or just having fun. God Bless.
I love your boat Daniel. You and the family will make great memories with that bass boat. Love the fact that Houston caught a fish with your Dads reel. That has to make you feel good. I love it! Great color!!
So much meaning to this day for the two of you. You deserve this, enjoy. And we'll keep enjoying the hard work you put into making the great videos. Two of our 3 boys didn't enjoy hunting like their Dad, but they went, and not one of them regrets that time today. I understand. I wish our grandkids had gotten the chance to spend some of those days with him.
That is a beautiful bass boat! I love the secret compartment for the poles! What a sentimental fishing day! You could see from Houston’s face after you explained the significance of the reel & lure, he felt the specialness of it as well. Love y’all’s adventures. Such special memories y’all are making together. God Bless you, Daniel!
My Dad taught me how to fish when I was a little girl. We started trout fishing when i was 12. Our family use to go to Minnesota and take over a resort by renting 5 cabins. The last time was a year before my Dad died. I have my Dad's first fly rod & reel to this day. It's about 55 years old. I love the memories you're making.❤
I’m 73, Houston catching that fish with his Grandpa’s equipment brought a tear or two run down my face.❤
Name...... ( memory Lane)
Blue Moon
I really like the name memory Lane
I will bet your boat will make a trip to Florida
Can Houston learn to drive the boat or do you have to be a certain age to drive the boat in Oklahoma?
Suggest you name the boat "The Blue Angel ." In honor and memory of your Dad and Houston's Grandfather.
All the best
I would name it Memories. It brings back memories of your Dad, and of Cameraman Ron, plus your making new memories. So that’s what I would name it. Maybe “Sweet Memories”….
Yes memories is a great name.
Congrats! Make lots of memories. The story of Houston’s first fish was incredible. It’s like your Dad was shining down on you in that moment saying “Good job, son”
Makin Memeries would be better
@@jansenferguson4584 Yea, that works. I was just suggesting the name Memories and then he could incorporate any other words he wants. I mean he could use “Our Memories”. It’s just a suggestion. I’m sure he will come up with a name that means something to him.
I like the idea of "Sweet Memories"
That’s so special that Houston caught the fish on his Grandpa’s reel. I bet he’s smiling down from Heaven right now.
Name it after your Dad!! So happy for you guys! Well deserved!!
I agree to that
I third that motion!
I agree
Yup that sounds like a winner

Houston, you are so lucky to have such a good father, who is such a good man. Love him like there’s no tomorrow!
I grew up with bass fever watching Jimmy Houston. It's such a blessing that Houston has Jimmy so close. Lots of memories will be made on that boat. I miss my daddy and going fishing with him.

Name your new boat “Beauty”. That way you will have Beauty and the Beast!!!
That's what I suggested before I read your comment 😅
Oh Daniel what wonderful story thanks for sharing that very special moment and memory. Have a good night and may your days be blessed stay safe

Name it after your Dad. Would seem fitting being Houston never met him, and caught his first bass off the boat with your dad’s reel.

I'm glad Houston appreciates the memories that are near and dear to you, and adds those to the memories you are now making together.
Touches my heart.
🎉 Something combining your dad and Cameraman Ron
Thanks for sharing your first time on your new boat. I especially liked that Houston's first catch was with your Dad/s reel and his favorite lure. I could tell that it meant something to Houston and expecially to you. We never really appreciate things done with our parents until they are gone and we have become parents ourselves. He caught 2 fish at one time, and the newspaper did a story on it. Sadly, we lost dad in 2012 at the age of 94-1/2.
Great memory to pass down to Houston.
What an adventure treat. A wonderful way of sharing father son time. Love it
Congratulations on your new boat. Houston catching his first bass on the new boat on the what you bought your Dad, how special. See you all having many great family times wether fishing or just having fun. God Bless.
