I barely heard a word she said because I, too, could not stop looking at her hair. I just kept saying, "What do she do to her hair?" Absolute hair goals!

@@Maria-sg4zy I’m 50 years old. My hair growth has definitely changed over the years. When I was younger I had no problem with growing my hair, now is a different story. My hair use to grow evenly all over my head, now it grows slow in the front and fast in the back. To keep from looking like an old man (lol) I just keep it short (and it looks good on me). Ayurvedic herbs, aloe Vera and oils, and butters does help with moisturizing, softness, and growth. Merry Christmas! 🎄
Hey! My favorite leave-in conditioner is the Melanin Haircare Multi-Use Softening Leave in Conditioner. I absolutely love this stuff! I have relaxed hair and my daughter is rocking her natural curls at 11 months old (of course) and this leave-in conditioner works great for both of our hair textures! It moisturizes without wearing our fine hair down and the moisture lasts! My second favorite is the Ion Moisture Solutions Miracle Leave-in Conditioner. Detangling is an absolute breeze with this leave-in conditioner and the moisture is so real!
Melanin is the only conditioner I use now, and my hair absolutely loves it. I've been using it as a deep conditioner and Leave-in since it was first introduced. Clean ingredients and wonderful scent. Always keep at least one full back-up bottle on hand because it tends to sell out.
I am right there with you! I have looked everywhere for other clean and trusted leave-in conditioners and this Melanin Leave-in conditioner stands alone for me! The absolute best leave-in conditioner on the planet that has all clean ingredients and works every single time!! Just saying.
I love love the Aussie miracle curls leave in conditioner for my curly haired daughter. This has been a game changer for my daughters hair and my son as well! I’m a hairstylist and none of the conditioner have worked as well at detangling like this has! I recommend it to my clients now! I would like to try some of the other products you recommend on my kiddos. Also I love learning about cosmetic chemistry, being a hairstylist and all. Live your channel! ❤️
I am relaxed but I am here for the knowledge. I have 4 leave-ins that I rotate through depending on the time of year and if there are any issues. I have fine jhair so in the summer I use lightweight leave-ins, Joico K-pak which is like a mousse consistency and protein, Design essentials bamboo & silk, then in the winter I use Auntie Jackie's Quench and Elasta QP avocado & mango.
It’s a 10 Miracle Leave In Product was my favorite for years. I’ve since moved to an area that has different water, so when I wash my hair, it doesn’t have the same effect. I’m looking for a new conditioner, so I’m glad you made this video! Perfect timing!
My favorite leave in is kinky curly knot today. It’s been my tried and true for years now and no matter how many leave ins I try, I always run back to my day 1 because it never fails.
I can definitely say the Aussie moisture conditioner is a WINNER! I only thought the purple bottle was better for whyt hair LOL , but this conditioner makes my curls feel SO JUICY AND MOISTURIZED 🥰
My go to leave in conditioner is the Shea Moisture Strengthen and Restore. It also doubles as my moisturizer! I love how it smooths, defines and softens my curls❤.
My favorite has been the Mielle Organics pomegranate and honey leave-in. Haven’t been able to find anything better so maybe I’ll try some of these out.
I've been using Shea Moisture Red palm oil and Cocoa butter leave in. After years of searching it's the only one I've found that doesn't have coconut oil or protein in it. Before that, I was making my own.
I use “PATTERN” then blow dry with coconut oil. My curls snap back every time I wash it, however my hair wasn’t growing until I started using heat again. Wash n’ go’s kept me at the same length for years. I found what works for my locks now🥰
I feel like my hair isn’t growing either until I straighten it and actually see the length. That’s a popular misconception when you have kinky/curly hair.
Aveda Nutriplenish leave-in is unmatched. I also love Smooth Naturals Perfect Moisture leave-in (I have the old formula, which contains silk; the new formula doesn't & I'm not sure what else has changed). I also like Ouidad Whipped Curls leave in.
TGIN Rose Water is my favorite leave in conditioner. I also use Ozzie moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I also deep condition my hair with TGIN deep conditioner. I just love these products together.❤❤❤❤❤
I use several different leave-ins, but I'm stuck on Creme of Nature Argan oil strength and shine. I always get awesome consistent results, no matter what my hair is going through. It helps keep my hair moist throughout the week.
Been looking for good leave in conditioners so this comes at a good time! I've been using Aunt Jackie's leave in and I like it ☺️ but I'm excited to try your recommendations ... I haven't gone wrong with your recommendations yet!
My favorite leave-in is CR Curl Love. I also love TGIN Green Tea but I am out and ordered the RepairX during Black Friday and hope I like it. I also have Melanin which saved my hair when I was experiencing dry, tangling issues! I bought the Pattern full size with the Ruby Woo lipstick for my daughter - hope she likes it! Mane Choice makes some great leave-ins as well! Great review!
I swear sis you are reading my mind. I've narrowed my picks but need one more leave-in that I can depend on. My favs are "Edens bodyworks coconut and shea, Mane Choice "Do it fro the culture" charcoal and black cumin, and Taliah Waajid's " green apple and aloe with coconut. Gonna try out your picks asap! Thank you and take care
I've tried so many leave ins but I have decided that the Luster's Scurl Curl Activator spray and the ORS Hair Fertiliser are part of my holy grail stash. I use the spray as the liquid base and the fertiliser as the cream leave in, and then seal with the Carol's Daughter Pomade. My hair is medium to high porosity and this is combination has helped lock in moisture for longer. And the spray is also versatile. I use it to refresh my hair between wash days if need be, as hair spray when I have braids, and as a liquid base for wash and gos.
Appreciate THIS vid!!! ❤I've heard leave-in conditioner should b predicated on hair's porosity. Since my locs r 4c DRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, I decided 2 try Mielle ginger/pomegranate & VOILA !!!!💋 Game changer!!!
I currently don't have a favorite leave in. Honestly did not use them much. Thanks for sharing all the added benefits of using one. Will definitely be adding these to hair care regimen. 🙂
Happy to see one of my Leave-in made the cut.... I use Aussie leave in and Cantu Shea Butter leave in... get great results using both. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤
I love Keravada whole hair care line. I have 4C hair, very coily and the entire line leave my hair moisturized all day. The ingredients are all natural. I love it. Keravada products leave my coils soft and manageable all day, no frizz. Sometimes I can use the Leave in Conditioner alone, and still have lots of moisture for days. Have you heard of this line? Do you have any suggestions about that product from a science perspective?
I had no idea that Aussie had a leave-in conditioner. How did I not think to look for this before? Lol I will definitely be giving this a try. 💯 Thanks for the informative video.
My fav leave in to use is Kinky Coily Curly (probably said it wrong) Knot Today mixed with shea butter, and raw cocoa butter. I heat the butters in a double boiler and blend them into the leave in, my hair love it.
Blessings upon you sis. I am thankful for all this great information, please keep them coming. My favorite is Aussie. I definitely use Aussie In my hair care regimen.
I like Carol’s Daughter’s Goddess Strength leave in conditioner. I also like Melanin Haircare Multi-use Softening Leave in. They work for me every time.
Giovanni seems to be what the hair likes, light has slip, not too heavy a plus it that it works well with the gold series detangling milk on this fine textured 4c hair
I’m confused. I hear some people say be careful using humectants like Aloe Vera and glycerin in the winter because the dry air will cause the hair to lose moisture. Then, some say humectants in the winter are okay. I make my own hair rinse with Aloe Vera juice and fenugreek, but the humidity here has dropped. I try to seal the moisture with a leave in, oil, and sometimes a grease/pomade too. What should I do? Do I need to stop using humectants in the winter?
Great question!! I hope she responds. I remember thinking the same stay away from humectanants in the cold months... I hope she sees this and brings some clarity.
My favorite leave-in conditioners for my high porosity hair is Curlsmith Oil In Cream, Pattern Beauty Leave In Conditioner, and Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave-In/Detangler! They leave my hair so moisturized and healthy.

Do you have a video on silicones? I really want to know the verdict on them. Which ones are harmful and which ones we can use with no issues. Thank you! Love your content!😍😍
My favorite go to leave in is Jane Carter Solutions Untangle Me Weightless Leave-In....with three little girls plus my own, it works for every one of us! 👌🏾
Hello. I cannot say that I have a favorite as of yet. I have been making my own with natural ingredients such as Avocado, bananas, a carrier oil like jamaican black castor with peppermint in it and last time with a little alo vera juice. I'm working on looking into DHT blockers such as saw palmetto, nettles leaf which I have noticed are in some hair brands now and rosenary essential and peppermint oil for sure.
I am loving The Mane Choice 3 in 1 leave in conditioner. I haven't found another leave in that works well for my hair. I may try your recommendations. Thanks for sharing.
Tonya, thank you for another wonderful video! PLEASE know that your beautiful hair has distracted the masses watching this video. What products did you use for it and how did you achieve this amazing look? I will need to watch the video again because I was so focused on your hair that I missed half of what you were saying!😁
Thank you! :-) My hair in this video was a stretched bantu knot out. I used Aussie leave in for the moisture and a homemade sealant to lock in the moisture.
Now you know you sure enough plugged us in on that Aussie I’ve been using it faithfully. Now that seasons have changed I’m going to try one or two of the other products you suggested. I’m excited I like trying new products you suggest. Otherwise I wouldn’t know 😃 Thank you
Sun. 7-16-2023). I have salt & pepper, medium curls 2-3 inches lg. natural hair). 1) Aunt Jackie's quench! Leave - In conditioner 2) tgin green tea super moist Leave - In conditioner
Awesome as usual. I use TGIN (Protective leave in conditioner)and loooveee it. About the one I have, they mentioned on the packaging: “with black honey+coconut oil”. I know it is the same line with the one you showed us on the video. But is there a difference?
I fell in love with the As I am JCBO water. Then I tried the Giovanni Weightless Leave In and it became my new favorite. Since my hair is so fine, I had a hard finding leave ins that didn't completely weigh my hair down. Thanks for the video. The product junkie in me wants to try the Curlsmith next. I know sometimes you ask for video suggestions. Have you ever considered doing one on the science behind Wetline extreme gel? I think it's the sodium polyacrylate that is why it is so beloved. Is that what binds the water to the hair and is it really so bad? I have seen some really expensive products like Nurture that use it as well.
I enjoyed your video. It was very informative. Will any of these products work on natural gray hair? I have a problem keeping my hair moisturized. Thank you.
I would like to submit for review Paul Mitchell The Leave-in. It is an oldie but a goodie. I just started using it this year and my hair really loves it!
My current favorite is TGIN Green Tea Leave In, maybe next year I will try the RepairX, generally I've just stuck with TGIN (shampoo, deep cond & leave in)
Yes, I really like the Green Tea leave in too. I like the way it's instantly moisturising but light weight at the same time and hardly leaves any build up. It's also silicone free. I tried the miracle repair x leave in when I couldn't get hold of the green tea conditioner. It's definitely heavier and feel like it's leaves a slight residue, which I have concluded may have something to do with the silicones in the product even though these are quite far down the ingredients list. As I usually wear my hair in braids without extensions I try not to put too much in my hair and I've found the green tea conditioner has provided the right balance. I usually seal it in with argan oil or very lightly with carol's daugter mimosa hair honey which is a very nice light weight pomade.
I just purchased the curlsmith leave in & melanin leave in from ulta. My sister uses curlsmith and swears by it,but I wasn't crazy about it. The fragrance was too strong for me. Melanin's leave in gives really good slip & moisture. So far I think I found a new love lol. I should also note that my sister has low porosity & I have high porosity dyed hair, so that's probably why our needs are so different.
current favorite leave in is the Curlsmith 3-in-1 but that's only because I am out of TreLuxe Untie the Knot. I will be repurchasing that as soon as there is room on the shelf! The dew point stays is too low for me to enjoy the benefits of glycerine. It looks like the aussie miracle moist could be a good option. Is it my porosity that makes it so I can't use stylers with glycerine when the dew point is below 40? Are there certain humectants I should look for that would be as bad as glycerine when it comes to frizz? Which humectants are best when you're dew point is too high or too low? This seems like a lot of info and maybe a video is coming soon? Thanks! Love hearing all about ingredients from you :)
My favorite must have cream leave in conditioners are melanin haircare and curly kids curly creme. I also love spray leave-in conditioners Alikay lemongrass and Taliah Waajid bamboo and coconut milk.

East of time take the food out do the oil but after u use conditioner
I am loving The Mane Choice 3 in 1 leave in conditioner. I haven't found another leave in that works well for my hair. I may try your recommendations. Thanks for sharing.
I use the Mane 3 and 1 also and Shea Moisture red Palmer and cream of nature milk . Can’t just find one to do the trick .
Otherwise I wouldn’t know 😃 Thank you
What did you pair the aussie moist leave in with
I use the spray leave in by Hask. Thick creams don’t work for me they just sit on my hair.
You mentioned my favorite leave in lol....the TGIN repair rx is a holy grail of mine
Very informative! Are these good for wavy hair? X
Yes! Definitely give them a try to see how your hair responds. ☺️
Sun. 7-16-2023). I have salt & pepper, medium curls 2-3 inches lg. natural hair).
1) Aunt Jackie's quench! Leave - In conditioner
2) tgin green tea super moist Leave - In conditioner
Thank you so much for sharing this important information, can any of these conditioners be used in relaxed hair
Yes! ☺️
Thank you
Thanks for sharing. I am transitioning to gray hair and I have been looking for a new leave in.
YOUR HAIR IS GIVING ME ALL THE LIFE!!!! I wish we had these products in the USA! *cries*
Giovanni for me. I recommend Aussie etc to my high porosity friends but i get build up easy so i only have it for the one off.
How did you decide that these are the "best"? Who did the rating? Huge field and I would like to see the research. Thanks.
Thanks sis, I’m loving the As I Am leave-in conditioner 😊
You’re welcome! ☺️
Awesome as usual. I use TGIN (Protective leave in conditioner)and loooveee it. About the one I have, they mentioned on the packaging: “with black honey+coconut oil”. I know it is the same line with the one you showed us on the video. But is there a difference?
I was wondering the same thing…I wonder if they’re two different products
Yes TGIN, my hair loves her products may she R.I.P.
I’ve recently discovered the As I Am JBCO water too, I’m going to have to order a couple more so I don’t run out 😂
Yes I love the As I Am jbco water love it 😍
Giovanni since 2012!!👍🏾👍🏾 I dont know why it is not more popular
Can you speak specifically to us loc'd folks... Specifically about keeping moisture... And products and stuff
Design Essentials. Coconut and Monoi. Deep moisture milk soufflé. It’s the best!
I use for my Leave-ins: Cantu with Shea Butter and Alice Jackie's Leave-in. I'm always on the hunt so I'll check out your recommendations. Thank you.
My current favorite is TGIN Green Tea Leave In, maybe next year I will try the RepairX, generally I've just stuck with TGIN (shampoo, deep cond & leave in)
Yesss I had to buy another bottle of that tgin green tea one bc I love the smell and how it softens my hair 🥰🥰. Smells so bomb
@@blacksunlight2618 yesss I always thought the green tea leave in would be the perfect moisturizing leave in for braids ☺️ thanks for confirming
Did you buy the orange Curlsmith one or the blue one?
@@dlilwon I purchased the orange one. The "curl conditioning oil-in cream." I'm still kinda sad it didn't work for me, so many people rave about it.
I have TGIN. Im going to try every one of them.
current favorite leave in is the Curlsmith 3-in-1 but that's only because I am out of TreLuxe Untie the Knot.
Carol's Daughter Goddess Strength leave-in & the TGIN leave-in are my favorites. I will try the Aussie one.
Mielle uses Babassu oil in her products. I love her products lots of slip in her shampoos. Don’t sleep.
My favorite must have cream leave in conditioners are melanin haircare and curly kids curly creme. I also love spray leave-in conditioners Alikay lemongrass and Taliah Waajid bamboo and coconut milk.
I used the TGIN based on your recommendation for high porosity hair. It’s ok for me. I have to get some more uses to see how I like it.
Try Aphogee Pro-Shea
Thank you so much for these videos queen! I extremely appreciate you sharing your knowledge and info with us! You have severely helped me with my hair! 🥺💕💕
