- Winter camping is back! The Nexus Wraith Super C did a great job keeping us warm and cozy.
We ended up at Mohican state park in Loudonville, Ohio again this weekend with another group of camping friends. We did a pot luck where I made beef stew and pecan pie to share with everyone.
Mohican is a great park but when it's quiet and peaceful with a blanket of snow, it just takes it to a whole new beautiful level!❄️ We took a Jeep ride throughout the Mohican State Forest for some more sites and sounds.
It did end up raining but luckily it changed over to snow and our big campfire kept everyone warm!🔥
It was a terrific weekend and we can't wait to do more Winter camping very soon.

That's one of the main reasons why we looked into changing from the Airstream. We wanted something built better for cold weather and this wraith is going a great job SO FAR. We will put it to the test this Winter!
@@WanderingWagners Having a garage big enough for your rig is also a plus. My next sticks and bricks will have enough land so I can add a garage for my rig... That way, I don't have to worry about winterizing every time I want to take my rig out in the winter. Smart move in getting your garage finished and heated. Money well spent...

I use blue masking tape on the floor to guide my backing in, with an orange cone as a target for the back tire of the 5th wheel to stop at.
Good idea with the tape. We use chocks as stops that stay in the same place
@@WanderingWagners I did chocks once, til it got moved. My storage is brightly lit like yours, An orange cone is easier to see for me.
Love beef stew, but it is way better the next day.
That's why I let it simmer for hours too! But almost everything is better the next day😋
You should make the videos longer. They are very enjoyable. I love the venues. Especially Hocking Hills and Mohican. I've had many hikes and picnics at both locations. Living in Florida I don't get there as often as I once did. But I have my videos too. :-)

Thanks for that and congratulations on the garage finish. Love camping! Do you have a winter package on the Wraith? Or it just performs well as purchased. Looking to trade-in the Jayco Greyhawk or just buy one within a year I hope.
No Winter package (there isn't one offered specifically) but other trailers we've had claimed to have Winter packages and they were worse off than the Wraith. We are happy with it so far! We will put it to the test again next few weeks

Hello Wagners! Merry Christmas! Great Video. I do have a question for You and Mike on the modification to your Wraith Suspension. How is the Ride? Are you still enjoying the 18K spring rate? I'm seriously thinking about having Selking update my 2021 32W.
We have 18,500 springs and we'd do it again in a heartbeat! Well worth it. The ride quality is much improved and we showed that in a few videos as well with comparisons. You won't regret it and Selking did a great job and it was done in less than a day!
Thanks for keeping me in the know about the Wraith... looks like we are definitely going that way... love the door on Wraiths docking station! I also used a line but a target on the back wall works best for me... I back the corner of the truck right to it, perfect..

I am looking to possibly take my 34tsc up north in winter to do some travel contracts. Any recommendations to prep it yo live in a cold climate for 10-13 weeks.
In this video here we talked about some of the upgrades we have done to make Winter camping easy for us. We added an outlet and heater to the dump bay, rewired breakers so they were evenly spread between the legs and added bedroom outlet for a heater. We've been in regular air temps down to 0 without issues to date.

I have to ask because the curiosity is getting the best of me! 🤣.... when traveling during the winter months to your destination... do you just run the heat of the cab vents or are you running the furnace as you drive? Didn't know if just the cab heater vents would warm up the entire unit... I'm guessing it doesn't....
We haven't had to run the furnace while driving yet because the cab vents keep it at a nice temp. Running the furnace while driving is an option when it's colder though! We do have the small space heater attached to the wall in the dump Bay we can run while driving if we want too.

The roads were clear when we were traveling this trip, but we will definitely report back when we run into that situation!

I don't know about everyone else, but this video is unwatchable to me. Everything is washed out white. Another RUclipsr that I follow had this happen and it was because of an iPhone 12 they were using.
