Taking The Super C From The Snow To The Mountains

- We drove the Nexus Wraith Super C on the snow covered roads on our journey from Northeast Ohio to Chimney Rock, NC!
We left Evergreen RV Park in Dundee, Ohio and decided to head a little South to Western North Carolina.
The Wraith handled the snow covered roads like a boss! Granted Mike is used to driving commercial trucks in every kind of weather imaginable so he found it to be second nature.
This was the first time we took the Super C into mountainous roads so we were happy to finally be able to test its ability. It handled them just fine, although slow uphill, it wasn't the slowest vehicle on the road😂 It got the job done safely!
We them ventured to Chimney Rock State Park and hiked up to the top! Only a few miles, but the elevation gain was pretty substantial. It was a great workout! The dogs stayed back because Guy isn't that fond of they many stairs, and Piper isn't exactly a dogs dog. Mike did return back to the RV early so they wouldn't be alone very long.
We had an amazing time meeting and visiting fellow RUclipsrs @allichuckadventures as well!

Awesome video! My daughter, her boyfriend and their two german shepherds were just got back from Chimney Rock State Park on Christmas eve. They were hiking in the snow while there. They loved the area. That's great that you got to meet AliChuck Adventures. They have an awesome channel too!
We wish there was still snow but it melted the day before! It was a beautiful hike and view for sure

I think it was busy because a lot of work places aren't open between Christmas and New year's so they travel

Love the video. We also stay at Witheville KOA on our trips to the Carolinas, it is a good break for the night when traveling from Cleveland area on 77 south, and when traveling back home again. Thanks for the cookie demo in the convection oven will need to use the oven more this season and what a better reason than to make oatmeal cookies (my fav)
We usually stay at truck stops or test areas but decided to treat ourselves this time through! You'll love the cookies they're one of our favorites for sure!!

Chimney Rock is great. Heckavu ride up to it, especially from Ashville then once you get to it, that last 2 miles is crazy. LOL. We went in 2019. We liked Black Mountain, NC too. Lots a neat little shops. Great video!
We were staying in nearby Fletcher and the drive in was nauseating haha! Pretty but crazy. Loved the hike too the top though!

We weren't escaping weather! We were actually planning on going to Michigan to snowmobile but decided to message Chuck and Alli to see where they were going next and it just happened a few hours before we left that morning lol

We stayed in a park just north of Witheville , Deer Trails, I believe. It was way out in the boonies, poor cell and poorer WiFi. The road in and out barely passable in summer, let alone winter. But, it was very quaint and picturesque in the valley. Our next trip to Ohio, we may try it again.

Just down the road from us! We live about 30 minutes away from there. Glad y'all could escape the snow. Rutledge Lake is a very nice family campground.

Well guys I thought I was going to buy a Wraith but I found a screaming deal on a Ghost this weekend so right now I'm working in it. We'll see what happens. It needs a little work but not a ton but it does have the Maxxforce engine which I need to look into some more. Mike, any insights on the Maxxforce after they did the fixes? Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Well, I don't like to be negative, and I don't want to a downer BUT, it's a screaming deal because of that maxxforce engine. It's kind of like buying a 6.0 powerstroke, it's not if, but when will it blow. If you buy it I wish you the best of luck with it. The ghosts are super nice units!

question since mike is a truck driver. at what point would you have to put chains on your super C? and are you carrying them now? being from california i would drive over the mountain passes on all out of state trips.
We don't carry chains with us but if we went out west we would have them for sure. When I drove truck I would chain up if it was mandatory and would probably do the same in the super c

Our cameras record in HDR. Watch on a different format because everything we watch it on (phone, TV's and computers) don't have an issue.
