Nice finds Bob! I found a nice metal collection about a year ago with much of the same stuff. $2.00 a pop! I sold 90% of it on Discogs and made some serious cash. I noticed in the opening flip-thru that you passed up a copy of the first Captain Beyond record. If you are unfamiliar, or dont have it, I suggest you race back and pick it up. Stoner rock classic.
I made it through the first half of your video Bob, 😆. The Ramones album, Leave Home, the one to have is the other one with the track, Carbona Not Glue. The Sheena track is best heard on the next album, Rocket To Russia.

Killer pick ups! I've been looking for that Fear The Record for some time now. That Mercyful Fate looks minty fresh. I would have went bankrupt in that record shop.
I worked for an independent distributor in the mid 80's & we sold Metal Blade & Combat label releases. They always sold well to the small specialty shops. I used to get & sell promos of most of the titles .. 😬
Fatal Portrait is sooo good. Had the OG cassette as a kid. Obsessed with it. Some genuinely and literally insane falsettos and guitar solos on that bad boy. Incredible condition. Good on ya, mate.

I still have my other speakers :) I’m not sure on the brand of the rack unfortunately. My these big ol speakers are consonance and they are pretty great sounding, back on the horns! Different from the open baffle Woodring’s both are very nice 👍🏼 cheers

I think the store didnt know what they had, the Rigor Mortis is not a 10 dollar record, its pretty rare now. Most of the ones you gave prices for were way under priced. Nice score, for sure.
I have to admit I stopped listening to Rock around 1981, don't get me wrong I still listen to Hendrix, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, etc and followed the members of those bands as they broke off and did other projects. Was more into Jazz and Jazz Fusion and I think the real reason was I just felt that the new bands had more shock value and less musicianship. I have collected all the Prog Rock bands in the 70's that I missed and always wondered if I missed any key bands in the 80's. If I missed some with great musicians please drop some names on me.
Well you might check out Randy Rhodes blizzard of Oz and diary of a madman records but no doubt you’ve heard that stuff.. punk and metal have some fantastic musicians but attitude is a big factor in the forms and far as chops and harmonic sophistication you are already there partner 💀salute!

Actually traveling starting Sunday from Florida to California. (Rented a van) to pick up TWO collections. Over 3,000 records. Plus another 500 “commons”.
