I love that this episode points out how Spencer has impacted Sam's and Freddie's lives, too. His relationship with Sam in particular has always just hit me right in the feels.
What i like most about the Icarly christmas episode, is that it both provides a "What if" scenario and that the plot plays on the old saying "Be careful what you wish for"
While I don't watch this special every year, I have watched it at least once and enjoyed it. The idea was great, there probably a million takes on "its wonderful life" but ICarly handled it well. I like the humorous and clever twist they did on "an angel gets its wings," and fell the ending is very heartwarming and in a way quiet, you just have the characters whistling "hark the Harold angels sing," its a very nice way to end the special.
I think this episode was a unique take on the "It's a Wonderful Life" concept. I remember some of it from when I was a kid, and I remember thinking about how different I'd be if my parents hadn't raised me the way they had.
This episode is a nice positive reminder that your impact on your friend's and familie's lives is bigger than anyone will ever realize and that wishing to be different could potentially mean a worse outcome.
I never knew how to feel about this episode as a kid I liked how it showed how Spencer has affected other people other than his sister but it also highlighted how selfish Carly was because she only changed her mind when it affected her and never apologize for her actions
iCarly did make a good Christmas episode. This type of storyline helps me reflect on my own life and how I need to be grateful for what I have in my life. My experiences, good and bad, shape the way I am today. And as much as I think about "what if the bad things didn't happen," those experiences helped me learn and eventually lead me to better experiences. Though I might not be going through the best times right now, I can say I got to where I am with my loved ones and myself; and I'm still here.
aw man I love the ending, it's been so nice watching this little series. I feel it's led me to consider my own experience with the holidays, and think about how I can revitalize the joy that I've lost over the years. sorting out my Christmas trauma is a lot easier when it's in the context of nostalgic television haha. I feel more in the spirit than ever this year, thank you 💕
I forgot this episode existed but I really liked it when I first saw it. I know a lot of shows use it but I really like the "what if" episodes. Also Spencer is a national treasure
I always liked this special (I have a fondness of AUs, time travel, etc) but what I love about What ifs is how different things could be and can be but also how creative or obvious the changes are (like Spencer normal or Sam in juvie) to creative (Spenser dating Mrs. Benson and Carly dating Nevel) Anyway, I loved this video and I can't wait for the next one tomorrow!

This was a interesting alternative reality type of episode that I do suspect teaches the idea of "becareful of what one wishes for" type of deal. And, for Spencer's electromagnetic tree catching fire, I don't know how many of Spencer's fires has happened up to this episode, but honestly, since the show has since been reran on teennick (I think), I know that when Spencer typically touches something or makes something, specifically electrical, it'll ignite into a fire. So, while I do agree seeing the fact of the tree going up in flames and potentially destroying the presents is a bit sad, it's still amusing none the less.
This is a truly great video, Jordan. You definitely put your heart and soul into your videos, and it shows greatly. This one especially. I know I say it a lot but thank you for all your hard work! You rock at what you do!

I decided to try and be more obstinate this year and have brute forced some holiday spirit back into my life...and Fringemas is definetely helping lol. This is a pretty decent Christmas episode of any Nickelodeon TV shows I've ever seen. One downside I have with it is Carly whining to everyone she knows of during the alternate dimension because she wanted everything back to the way things were. Apparently, Carly only wanted her older brother, Spencer, to be normal rather than insane over the fact that he made a crappy looking Christmas tree made with metal. The "angel" named Mitch appeared and turned whole world into a normal alternative dimension where Spencer became a mature person, but things went way out of hand. Spencer and Freddie's mom both got engaged, Freddie had a girlfriend Carly claimed that everyone hates, Nevel suddenly became Carly's boyfriend, and he kissed her. 😙😦 Carly goes, "AAAAHH!! 😱", and Sam was in juvie, prison for people under the age of 18. One thing that kinda bugs me during this Christmas episode is when Carly was feeling so upset that she started whining to everyone that she wanted them to have the same personalities as what they usually had such as Freddie being a cameraman knowing all about iCarly and Freddie's mom being single and lonely. I feel really bad for Carly being upset, whining to everyone, and sitting in the hall crying. 🥺 Not really as bad as that other crying scene from a newer episode, "iGot a Hot Room," and if I said that is the worst moment of this show, I'm not kidding, it really is the worst moment of this show ever. Thankfully, Mitch undid the wish and everything went back to normal, or as I should've said "abnormal." With Spencer being more insane, Sam not being in juvie, and iCarly being a thing in this universe. And surprise ending where you heard earlier that Mitch mentioned not having wings, Mitch finally had them and they were chicken wings. 🍗 I wondered if Lewbert was in this alternate dimension. I assumed that he would've been a nice, clean doorman just like the slideshow scene from a later episode, "iFind Lewbert's Lost Love." But according to the iCarly Fandom website, it said that he would've been a butler. Overall, "iChristmas" is a decent Christmas episode I have ever seen and I can live without Carly feeling too upset. You know what they said, be careful what you wish for, otherwise things will go way out of hand that might make you regret it so that you'd rather change it back to the way things were. 🎅
Eh, it was a decent episode but not my favorite Christmas special. Simply because it tries to paint Carly as wrong for getting upset but with full context of the show Spencer’s inventions while creative does more harm than good and specifically affected Carly on multiple occasions. Finally having enough and going off seems justified. Almost decapitating her, ruining her world record, burning down her room/possessions, burning her Christmas gifts, these are the main ones I remember. On the other hand this is why I like fairly odd parents “what if” episode. Timmy is a very selfish person (knowingly or not) and if he was never born everyone’s life is 10x better and although he learns this he basically goes “nah let me reverse it”.

Sorry but no, Carly's reaction to Spencer's dumb tree was perfectly warranted given it could have burned down the building with all of them inside, not to mention the selfishness Spencer displayed by refusing to give her a normal Christmas just so he could have his ugly artsy fartsy tree, guilt tripping her for having a normal, logical reaction is not good, telling her that she has to put up with Spencer's childish negligence just because she benefits from it in some ways is a terrible lesson, Wonderful Life storylines only work when the person making the wish is being irrational.
