I looked Krystal up she only served 14 months was released early. One article even said she still had her nursing license!!!!! I’m a nurse, can you imagine having your loved one being cared for by this monster. This is outrageous!

This happened in the town where I grew up. When Krystal Kenney came up for parole I was so angry and started an online petition to stop her release. It went viral and we presented it to Dan May and the courts. We were successful in keeping her in prison for 6 more months. Kelsey's Mother is an angel on earth and I think of them often. Rest easy Kelsey..your family is doing good.
Love your enthusiasm but can't bring the dead back. Krystal made a huge mistake, and we're not exempt either. She served her sentence. The best thing to do is forgiveness. Forgiving her is good for the whole town folks that are affect by it.
Krystal K is more involved than she admits. I think she was there when he killed Kelsey. Wouldn't surprise me if she took part in the killing!!

@sammas2959 I don't honestly know what to say to that. Forgiveness is not mine, it's Kelsey's families place. They are leaning on their religion and doing ok. The people in Woodland Park who witnessed the whole event are deeply, permanently damaged..We can't always just turn our cheek, nothing would ever change and I think even you would agree that things need to change in our country and our world.

She really is though. She had a million chances to tell on him. Not 1 single time did she. Then she drove down there and cleaned the crime scene smh. Nothing was forced. Then she decided to take the easy out and turned on him like most snitches do.

It's shocking to me that Kelsey's loved ones had to ask the police to check for Kelsey's blood in the bathroom, when the police should have used luminol during their first investigation. Poor Kelsey, so sorry for her baby and other loved ones. Glad they caught Patrick, who meticulously planned everything. So sad.

Just a question. Is it standard for police to use luminol if the purpose of the walk through was for a reported missing person? Police said everything looked in place, which to me means nothing knocked over, evidence of a break in etc.

If your loved ones are missing, always ask the authority to check the phone where it was pinging to hasten the process of searching for them as well as the person of interest’s phone .
Of course but I also think I've seen previous cases where police have to hit certain criteria to access those records to the point where loved ones are begging for it to be done in the UK they definitely need some forms of what would be probable cause in the us

Unfortunately they didn’t think they would be able to EVEN ARREST the killer unless they made a deal with the devil! I wish the deal would have included more time in prison but maybe her and her attorney would only agree to the plea deal that was made. The “devil” and her attorney also KNEW they NEEDED HER in order to get at the “evil killer”!!!

2: a judge can refuse a plea deal.
3: she was at the least guilty of being an accessory after the fact.
4: interfering in an investigation.
5: destroying evidence.
6: desecration of a corpse.

Seeing this beautiful young lady with her baby in the store doing some grocery shopping knowing those were her last moments before being brutally beaten killed & burnt its nerve breaking - traumatizing . I was glued to this story when it happened. Such a horrible thing they did to her.
As a Colorado resident this case was unimaginable. Men in our state viciously murdering the mothers of their children. This man was so evil they found Kelsey's teeth scattered around her condo. It was devastating.

You're right. I do focus on the evil we can demonstrate but I need to remember all those people who fight for justice
I used to hate most of the episodes had a similar premise. But it's actually a good reminder how these things can happen to anyone and the evil humans are capable of. It's also a stark reminder the victims and families are real and that we relate to their pain.
It reminds me that evil lives at home...

As a survivor of DV, I'm in no way, shape, or form going to drive 5 miles much less 800 miles to help someone I'm physically afraid of. She was involved, period. The shear brutality of Kelsey’s last hour alive still rocks me to the core every time. Both cases randomly pop into my head throughout the day, even if it’s been months since I’ve watched any true crime documentaries.

@@charlotted6247 very true, however I don’t think people discard that true evil exists, I just think most people don’t like to admit to the bad side of humanity. That’s why I personally have to take breaks from true crime stuff, it gets so depressing. Only consolation is knowing in my heart that, although her death was beyond brutal and painful, that her spirit is at peace in a better realm of consciousness.
The Chris Watts case is far more heinous.
I know what you mean. I also give myself a break now, and then, but I always return, because it helps me to see that I'm not alone suffering, and that I will suffer with others in return, because some people have to carry burdens, and suffer fates that can really shake you to the core. Those families always stays in my heart, and thoughts, like you say, randomly pop up into my head throughout the day. Yeah, we must help each other carry our crosses.

BS they couldn't solve the case without Krystal. They had more than enough forensic evidence to get Patrick for the crime. There was visible blood still at the crime scene and one look at Patrick's yard and his burn pile, they would find evidence. I don't care how abused you are, it takes one sick individual to wipe up blood and pick up teeth off the floor, Krystal deserves more time in prison.
This is why you don't judge (date) people on looks and interests alone, but on character and history.
Crystal is just as pathetic as him & I can see the hurt in the prosecutors eyes when he was crying, how unfair it was that she could have saved her life yet was given a deal…. 💔truly tragic

Attorneys can get a bad wrap sometimes, so when I see these prosecutors get chocked up and/or tearful because they have become so emotionally invested in the case and fighting for justice for the victim, it leaves me with a good feeling that sometimes the justice system, although broken a lot of the time, does still work sometimes.

What doesn't make sense is that bone fragments would've been found in that fire pit. It's 100% impossible to entirely burn a body without an incinerator because regular fire doesn't reach the required temps. So where are the bone fragments?

Chrysyal sounds highly competetive and has to win at all cost. This sounds like her idea. If she was innocent and didn't want Kelsie dead she'd have called the cops ASAP. This sounds like her way of removing what she felt kept her from her love interest.
