I believe his son probably knew in his heart right from the beginning. I forgive a kid who couldn’t bring himself to turn his father in. I mean come on. When all the cops started showing up asking about a missing woman this kid and wife couldn’t put 2 and 2 together. Doubtful. The mother, Mario’s wife, definitely kept her mouth shut at the time. What wife isn’t going to be aware of a tractor digging holes on her property around the time a woman goes missing and your husband who was digging holes is the number one suspect?

He saw the girl losing all her money at the black Jack table and can tell she has a gambling problem, he was said to be intelligent and he had an eye for what he saw as an easy target. he uses his dad face to make her feel comfortable and when she’s tapped out he “lends” her some money and when she loses it all he then says how are we going to get my money. She purposely leaves her phone as a way to get away because she starts to get an uneasy feeling. On the way out he grabs at her acting as if she’s trying to dip out and not pay him back. When she says she forgot her phone and needs to go get it is the moment he claimed to be an embrace was actually the moment he snatched her up and hid her in his car. We all know what happened from there. RIP Christy

Imagine you know the truth and you know somebody's mother is pretty much losing her sanity out of grief because she can't get any closure and you keep your mouth shut to protect your father ... ?
... and that is exactly what happened .
The murderer's son did not come forward until after his parents divorced and they lost their home .

His defense is that the physical evidence (her hair, blood, and DNA found in his car - after he'd cleaned it) must've been planted. And that she went back inside the casino to get her cell phone after he went to the parking lot with her. But the surveillance video does not show her re-entering the casino.
...so what he is claiming is that, yes, he walked into the parking lot at 1:30 in the morning with a woman who was stumbling a bit, but still pushing his arms away, knowing that her cell phone was back in the casino, and the reason no one ever saw or heard from her again is that there must've been a bogeyman in the parking lot who attacked her at that time.

I live very close to the Casino it was big news at that time. Next to the casino is a dump for the county on the same road less than a mile. We all thought he put her there. We know better that don’t go alone to the Casino. Very sad she was so young. Don’t trust guys that you just meet if you need to go to you car the Casino has security on the door and trough out the casino. I don’t know why she even walked with him at all . A guy can immobilize you very fast and this guy was bigger than her.

Maybe he pretended they were going to another casino or something, so she thought that's where they were going?
He may have purposely hid her phone in the casino so she wouldn't have it, because he somehow knew it was left behind there.

That the past isn't admissible boggles. How many times have we seen some violent, broken facade of a person leaving a wake of bodies and traumatized women? They should not get second chances.

It's possible the wife knew all along. It was clear that she was terrified of him. It's why the police had not taken her seriously, while she supported him. They knew.
Once he was locked up, she felt safe to move on with her life. She had grown boys to support her.
This family needs recognition for their role to find Christie. Without them, it would have been a cold case indefinitely.
I can imagine the mental, emotional and physical abuse that Mario put his wife through. She carries it in her eyes. Now both families can have peace.
    God bless...

Is it possibly she did go back into the casino and something happened? I mean no video of her getting into his vehicle doesn't seem suspicious, only of his car driving off? It's roughly 20 miles from Thunder Valley to Auburn and cell phones didn't ping? Then finding bones 15 years later on his property. I'm in the area and always thought this story was fishy.

No. She did not go back into the casino. There would have been footage on their cameras.
Blood splatter was found in his car. He claimed it was planted. How? Her body hadn't been found.
He had scratches on his face and chest. A medical doctor who sat at the same BJ table testified, he had no scratches on his face.
Christie's bones indicated a broken nose and neck bones. It indicates he knocked her out, threw her in the back seat & drove off- then strangled her to death.
And you think they got the wrong guy?!

@@harshanid3636 You're so sure on there would have been footage, but there is no footage of her getting in his vehicle? No footage of possibly spiking her drink. Sure there are things that look guilty and there is things that make me question what really happened. Cadaver dogs have an accuracy of 95%. And I'm sure they used them a few times and different dogs. But they failed to mention if they dug? LOL it's 5 acres not 50. I live on 3.

I'm glad you were not on the jury.
Why wasn't her car caught on video leaving?
And the other woman 2 women...
You probably think there is a reasonable explanation of them as well.
How do you account for his own son's recollection of the day after Christie went missing?
How do you explain away that she was buried on his property - 25 feet down?

    • @SidewaysInTraffic
      @SidewaysInTraffic Год назад

@@harshanid3636 Pulling back 25 feet, not 25 feet deep lol. 25ft is the height of a 2 story house. Her car wouldn't have left if she was murdered in the Casino by an employee or an important person. Which is plausible and they framed this guy for simply having sex with her in his car.

    She didnt forget her phone.
He took it without her knowing it, and left it there. That way the phone signal couldnt be traced and so her location.
She never said she forgot her phone, because then you would immediately walk back to get it. He knew it, because he left it there. She never knew.
And it also provides him somewhat of an explanation she wasnt with him and seems to speak truth.
Its possible he killed more people, so im wondering if they finished exploring the other locations at the property, or did they stop on hole 3? Should explore the others too.

Cell phone gps tracking was not a well known nor accessible tool in 2005 when this crime occurred. He may have considered her ability to communicate in general but gps tracking? Extremely unlikely as the technology on because available in 2004-2005 for cell phones and most devices at that time did not the software.
