  • The biggest question I always get from people just starting out is "what gloves should I get before my first class?" Well I picked out 7 gloves to have an actual beginner talk about and review. I will also upload individual reviews on these gloves within the upcoming weeks. I hope this helps!

    Really good idea handing it over to the new guy. He's more concerned with comfort and safety than just style. He's noting common issues amateurs are gonna have from bad shots that pros don't have issues with.

    Thanks for the review guys in South Africa other than Title and Everlast( boxing specific brands) its hard for us to get the other brands without importing them automatically bumps the price up. I'm using Adidas hybrid now as a beginner.

    I hear good things about RDX gloves. Ever tried them? I found out that the Ringside sparring gloves are 14-18 oz gloves. If you want a bag glove, they are only available in 10 and 12.

    Planning on upgrading my gloves from the sanabul gel gloves to the hyabussa s4 (been doing kick boxing for a little less than 11 months and everyone I train with praises hyabussa so much and the s4 gloves are $50 compared to $130 or even $230 in the case of the Marvel series which is what iD jump at getting if they went down in price alot)

      Hayabusa is in fact in the top 3 of my favorite brands. As far as upgrading to the S4, I think they are my favorite beginner glove because they fit right for me but I have had some emails complaining about them which concerns me. Another great pair would be the Ringside Apex sparring gloves (which are training gloves actually) they're also really cheap on Amazon I would recommend those as well the Title Classic Leather Training gloves. Let me know what you go with my friend!

    Hello. Nice video. Got a question for you. I got two pairs of boxing gloves. One RDX leather 10 oz feels like 13oz and a Hayabusa 12 oz for heavy bag. Hands are wrapped properly but my knuckles are killing me after 20 min of bag work. I am new at this. About two weeks. Hayabusa is better i feel padding is thicker. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  4 года назад

      I would highly recommend knuckle guards of some kind. The other thing is check where your punching and how hard your bag is. Heavy bags do something called "bottoming out" so all the sand in the bag goes right to the bottom part and makes it as hard as concrete and trust me I have seen more people hurt their hands that way than I would like to admit....ME INCLUDED. But I would go on Amazon and look for some knuckle guards or even try out basic sponges and wrap them over your knuckles to protect yourself. Let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions sorry for the late response my friend

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  3 года назад +4

      Depends on your weight! I usually say if you are 170 and over 16 oz gloves is a good range. 130-165 14 oz. 100-125 12 oz and if you are lighter than that then 10 oz. If you are much much bigger like 250-300 look into 18-20 oz gloves. However if it were me just for the safety of people complaining, 16 oz gloves is the best bet

      Tbh just get sparring gloves. Don't sweat it too much, just buy another pair of bag gloves down the line. Get what lets you do a little of everything at the gym.
      If you're having issues with the bag, I'd recommend knuckle wrap inserts. They're little pieces of rubber/foam you pad your knuckles with under your wraps, it helps a surprising amount.
      Bag gloves are nice, but I really wouldn't recommend them as your first/only set. I've always seen them as the pair of running shoes that I can wear down while keeping my nice stuff fresh
