The velcro rubber bumpers are used to STOP the mixer from side to side siding ... just place them on the bottom of the bag and snuggly against the mixer. As you were soldier...👍. Oh the straps are cross overs ... hook them on the edge of the mixer in a cross fashion and pull snug .... holds the mixer in place. ✊
Great review now thinking about getting one. I have the large chunky batteries with the same sled. Can you tell me the model number of your smaller 2900mAh batteries, please?
Thanks Reg. I think the bigger ones will still fit okay, you may just need to put the mixer in the middle instead of against one side. The batteries I have are some cheap ones from Amazon, so I cant attest to their longevity, but they are RavPower RP-BC006. I got two with a little battery sled charger. So far so good!
@@randyrektor Thanks for the swift reply. I'm in the UK and the RavPower RP-BC006's don't come up on Amazon here. What does come up with the same specs is a pair of NP-F550 Rechargeable Li-ion Batterys for cheap. Thanks, I've subscribed as I enjoy straight forward reviews.
@@regvernal4474 thanks Reg, I actually checked on Amazon here and I couldn’t find them either. They looked like these guys though www.amazon.ca/Neewer-Battery-Charger-CCD-SC55-Replacement/dp/B06XDC47YM/ref=asc_df_B06XDC47YM/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292951371106&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15689525988863320337&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9001016&hvtargid=pla-349213932429&psc=1
I think they are, but they come from the top, which is kind of weird. Like if I connect them to the metal loops at the bottom, the mixer will still fall out. Maybe I’m totally missing something lol 😂 I’ve done worse lol
Great video. By seeing your MixPre6 with the extra height of the L battery adapter, it looks like a MixPre10 could fit. Specs are pretty confusing on all bag manuf. web sites so, can you tell me what is the actual internal height of the bag please? Bottom to edge of the top lip. Many thanks in advance!
what's the medical tape for ? falling over rocks ? I have a hawkwoods power adapter that sticks out a cm or two ; I wonder how that will fit in the bag ? Any idea... ? thx dude.
Hahah the medical tape is used for lavs to tape the wires down to the skin. Much easier on the skin over a long day. You should be totally fine with the hawkwoods. My sled is around 5cm and it makes the unit sit flush at the top of the bag. Still feels safe and protected :)
Anyone know if the OR-27 will accommodate a Mixpre 6 with the Sound Devices MX L-Mount sled (for 2 batteries) AND 2 of the Sound Devices XL-B3 batteries? (These are the big ones; 7.4V 7800mAh). Looking at this video I think it will. Just looking for confirmation, however. Thanks!
How many sound guys does it take to screw in a lightbulb? One, two... two... two, two
This is what I needed on a Monday morning.

I thought the straps criss crossing at 2:24 are suppose to attach to your mixer's corners to lock it in place?

Yes it can be so hard to get the real dimensions. It’s 14cm from the bottom of the bag to the top lip.
@@randyrektor Thanks a lot
@@fer_fdi Hi mate. After hearing that, do you think the MixPre10 would fit?
I’d shoot SD an email or tweet at them and ask for the dimensions with the battery sled. They might be able to point you in the right direction

Why bring lav tape if you don’t have any lavs or wireless?
@YouTolan I bring them with me every shoot.

Sorry I can’t confirm that, but if you get me a combined measurement, I’m happy to check for you
Super basic today!
