Great lesson! Great song! And oh yeah, The Warriors, had kind of forgotten about that, but now that you mention it, it was a very effective way to end the movie and hit the end credits if I remember right. Thanks Kelly!
I've always loved this tune. I worked on this song for awhile years ago. Great song. Joe Walsh was the icing on the Cake for the Eagles. Not putting down Don Felder. He was incredible too. But Joe brought the harder tunes to the Eagles.
Oh man, I love the slide in this song, I couldn't find a tab before, I always assumed it was open A or G or something. So cool - thanks so much, I agree - my fav. eagles song of all time.
Saw a recent appearance by Joe on Jimmy Kimmel (here on YT), and he killed it with no glass!! Then I deep dived some more vids and found one from last year with the Eagles, and he also didn't use a slide but rather a wah-wah pedal and it too was fantastic!! The man's a wizard for sure!!
You have a voice for radio. I checked out your videos and it's probably the coolest guitar playlist that I've seen on here. I hit subscribe. Appreciate the lesson.
Thx Make sure to use pinky on 1st sting when you play chorus. When ya hit A add pinky on A high E (5th fret)and keep it there when you play the D and slide it up when you play the E chord. It’s what gives that section its Walsh vibe.
If you watched Joe play this on Jimmy Kimmel a few months back he plays lead notes replacing the slide. I sure would like to see the tab/lesson for those notes.. Great lesson BTW👍
Would you consider making a video about general/your setup for slide guitar? You mentioned setting up your guitar for it, but also wondering about the slide you use, pinky vs ring finger, maybe preferred tuning etc?
Surprised you didn''t start this tutorial with some beer bottles clanking "Warriors...Come Out and Play Ayyy" 😝 Or end the tutorial saying "Can You Dig It???!!!"😎
You're on a roll with these classic rocking tunes. Really like the Eddie Money videos. I also love seeing the adorned guitar in action vs on the wall (Woody is a massive favorite). Question on the slide - is it plexi or real glass? What are your thoughts on stainless steel slides vs other materials? Thanks, as always!
I have watched Joe play this numerous times live.. when I look at his fingering for that E chord..,it does not appear that he is playing what you are playing.. have you looked at this live?
He's going into a full E major chord, however he's only really grabbing the top 3 strings as he strikes the chord with very little emphasis on the 3rd of the chord. I'm just leaving it off. Making it more of a power chord. One could certainly go into the full E major instead.
I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE JOE WALSH! He is a fantastic guitar player, good songwriter, good singer, funny and comes off like a super fun guy. I hate him 😂
"Warriors, come out to play" I love how Joe Walsh can make magic from a few basic chords. Turn to Stone is another one of my favorites.

One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE JOE WALSH SONGS... THANK YOU BROTHER!!

Agreed
Love love love Joe Walsh and this song🤗
Great Instruction on this great song🎸

"Already Gone" just a phenomenal Eagles tune, alternative leads always interesting!
I imagine most of the public would be happy hearing this one even if the solo was played without using a slide.
i figured it out, if you want I can send you a tab
What a great song! Thanks for posting

Yes!! Thanks KDA - Best Eagles tune for sure. Followed close by Take it to the Limit & then every Joe influenced Eagles tune!
One of my favorites to play. Along with All night long

Thanks for another wonderful lesson!
Great work on this!
Awesome! Thank you for the lesson.🎸
Love Kelly Dean's vids!👍🎙️🎙️
Well done, Sir. Well done.
Been a while since we had a slide or talkbox hit. Love some James Gang too!
I Love the text on the slide guitar! Woody Guthrie is smiling down on you.
Awesome man.

Awesome!!🔥🙏
Great song…great lesson…I too love anything Joe Walsh👍
Joe did use one guitar in the video for this song but it was a double neck..he played the rhythm on the top neck and the solo on the bottom one..

Thanks.
What is the difference between a guitar set up for slide and one that is not if there’s no difference in tuning? Is it just action?
Thicker strings, higher action.

@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar He seems to have his 1st finger fretting a note on the 1sr fret is what I`m saying.
Tankx boo
Do you use software to break down tunes to learn them ?
Kelly ? Solo for One of these nights ?
Good idea.
Absolutely love that song and the guitar playing on it. One of my favorites from The Eagles! Maybe my favorite!
@@CC-qb9smIt was Glenn Frey’s favorite.
Is that a Schecter?
I’ve never met anyone that wanted to learn that one, but ok
Surprised Don Henley hasnt taken this video down yet 🤣
It's a Joe Walsh track first. The eagles re-recorded it.
Better download it fast.
I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE JOE WALSH!
