- After many months my 950 adventure is back !
Delayed wiring loom delivery, mistakes and other issues set me back for so long.
I had so many mixed emotions highs, lows, success and disappointment was part of the process.
It was all worth it as it still makes me smile.
I currently ride a 2017 KTM 1090R and was actually considering buying a 2004 KTM 950 Adventure S, but after watching this and other videos, it seems these bikes are simply too complex for my level of mechanic skills to maintain it properly. Thank you for sharing this information.

So true! The ''you cant ever have enough bikes'' once you are hit with the bike virus you just want to buy more n more and justify them by ohh but i can use this one for that and the other one for something else XD

As for the mounting it basically bolts on to the original bracket on the headstock.
I feel the same way about my KTM 300 exc LOL I do have a question i am looking into buying a 950/990 any tips to look out for and i know you are somewhat joking about KTM's breaking down but also not really hahah so how bad is it owning one and is it worth it? Specially because im quite green to the offroad scene and fixing bikes myself.

To be fair they are pretty high maintenance bikes if you want it to be reliable, some of them are absolutely trouble free and others well... just break down a lot and a lot of that is down to poor maintenance history. If you like working on your bike then get it as it is an amazing bike. But if you not prepared to work on it and learn it is probably no the bike for you. When it works its a epic bike that's for sure.
@@HeavyEnduroAdventures oh i am willing to learn how to do work on bikes i just suck at it for now because i dont do much of it and have not alot of experience haha but ive been dealing with a few issues on my ktm 300 exc and i like it *after i fixed it but sometimes i just want to burn the bike to the ground 😅 thank you for the info i seen a nice adventure s its a 2003 one with around 70000km on it is that a big worry? also i cant seem to find much differences between the 2003 later 04/05 models are they basically all the same just different colour specs? sorry for the lots of questions i dmed you on instagram but dont feel the need to answer i dont want to take up to much of your time with this i appreciate it tho!

That's on my 950 adventure, there will be videos of enduro/trail rides on my T7
Do you have key switch scheme delete for 950 adv?
I do have a way of wiring the switch instead of a key yes
Have you moved your starter realy away from down by the sump guard?
Sure, its right behind the air box know so out the way of dirt and very easy to access too.
What fuel pump you using ,as my mates bike goes through fuel pumps every year lol don't seem to get any issues with my xr650r or my xr600r or my tt600r lol
I use Facet Pressure Solid State Fuel Pump 40171 well proven and reliable pump
do you use a different fuelpump?
yes I do Facet fuel pump on 950 you can see it on the left hand side of the bike just over the bash plate.

@@motomanufactory not on those tanks as they are 950 tanks but I do have adapter plate from unitt 31 for 990 carb build

2003 -2017 I believe but you will need to to mod them slightly
