The Hardest Part by Jeremy Blake
I'm not finished with the video yet, loving it so far, but I wanted to stop before I forget.. heh Your flooring is actually paper. Being a paper crafter I recognized it right away. It's sold by Tonic Studios, and I believe you can sometimes find it on Amazon. Called Craft Perfect. It's a cotton paper blend. That being said, they have a ton of different "speciality papers" A lot of different patterns. Problem is, you can't always get the one you want in stock. They have a lovely cobblestone textured one that would probably look good in miniature as well, though I'm not sure about the scale. www.tonic-studios.com/pages/search-results-page?q=speciality+paper&page=3
Shari has found us a lead on the patterned flooring paper! Thank you... a lot of the papers on this site look interesting!
@@BentleyHouseMinis My pleasure. They have some gorgeous cotton fiber papers. Some would make some really nice wallpaper too. Also, these papers are made to take a variety of mediums.. As you see, they take paint very well. Also sprays, inks, pastes, etc.
It’s appears that particular paper doesn’t exist anymore
@@AbiNomac Right.. they do sell out, and discontinue, their papers quite often sadly.. However, they will have something similar sometimes. Like this one, could maybe be turned and used. www.tonic-studios.com/products/craft-perfect-luxury-embossed-card-salmon-harlequin Not the same, but similar pattern.. It could still look nice when painted the way you want it, etc. This one is nice too, as an alternative. www.tonic-studios.com/products/craft-perfect-luxury-embossed-card-steel-diamonds-a4
@@BentleyHouseMinis she shared your question and a link to find. Awesome for her.
Victorian ghosts! Yeah!
I saw the thumbnail and title, and yes, I literally clapped and squealed........
Edit: the mouldings are gorgeous!! Yes, please, make these available....
Yay! I am so glad you enjoyed it!
The wee little lock & keys-AAAAHHHH! 😍
The architect is gorgeous!!! The room is amazing!!
I love watching your videos, because as much as I would love to have a doll house of my own design, I have neither time nor space to build and keep it... So I watch your videos and dream that they are mine... 😴
Can hardly wait for the next video!!! I really want to see your take on the ghost!!! 👻
I admire your attention to detail. Its what makes things so believable.
cant wait to see ghost lit up!
This is why we NEVER throw broken jewelry away. I also have a stash of Christmas clearance tree dangles with chains and baubles.
Sincere! You have rekindled a long-ago dead passion!!! YOU HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE!!! God bless! E
I saved this video. I finally watched it and loved it.
Living for this!!!! Unlike somebody we know... (I'm talking about you Victorian Ghost Lady.)
🤣
you are so wonderful as a teacher. any young person around you will be master builder in the way you approach building.
Thanks for revisiting the window leading and resin technique! I love the chains on the door.
You are soo talented
ARA!!! This is crazy!! What you can do with a blank canvas is such an inspiration!! So talented my friend. Love. Love. Love!!!
Thank you😊
LOL I thought the battery pack was a Roomba. I was thinking wow, that's an odd detail to add to a haunted house.
😄😄 That's awesome!!!
not gonna lie, I chuckled at this
Oh yeah, that's right...maybe that's how that ghost died lol!
I can't wait to see when you make the ghost lady
Oh!! Love the floating ghost!! Great woodwork and chains. Definitely will be staying tuned, wouldn't miss it!!
omg yes plz plz add architectural details for purchase to your store when you get the chance!
@Skyspiders I totally second everything you said! :D Happy crafting :D
Definitely!! When it comes to miniatures and machines the costs rack up quickly! Thankfully there are now public libraries that are opening makers spaces that are giving more and more people access with out having to purchase or worry about up-keep. I am so loving this trend and I hope more and more libraries take it on!
Je suis captivé par ton IMMENSE TALENT ! La chambre de ton fantôme Victorien est très inspirante ! C'est FOU comme j'ai hâte de voir la suite !
Thank you so much Lise!💖💖
The cut outs really take it to the next level!
It's really interesting to see Victorian gowns that haven't faded so you can see the REAL color palette they preferred. It was anything but subtle and tasteful. I love it.
This is so awesome! I love that the ghost has the keys!
Wow! Just wow!!
Can't wait to see the next one. This is such a fun project.
This is just what I needed today
Wow this is brilliant ..it can’t be a basement with a posh ceiling like that ..My hallway had stairs like this ,but the leaded window had stained glass in,original to the house..The door did not have chains ,it the ceiling so fancy, but it did have panels under the stairs..My house was Victorian..I loved it .Looking forward to part two 😀
Ohh so excited for the project! And story time with Ara!!
Your adams family in the background is a beautiful background. So proud of you. I could never finish anything.
Thank you Justine! You can do it😉 Just don't rush yourself to much and enjoy the process! That's where most of the fun is ;)
This was one of my favorites. It just popped up so im watching it again
Thank you Alli! I would love to revisit it again one day and make an addition!
Wow your imagination amazes me
Getting some serious Bluebeard/ The Bloody Chamber vibes
Can’t wait for part 2! 👍
*watches this and procrastinates on my own minis*
Nice
Yayyy! It's Bentley Friday!!!! Gonna watch this later with a few glasses of wine :)
Yay!🍷🍷
Fun fact: Victorian green dyes often had arsenic in them.
there's a lot of fascinating poison stories from Victorian times, as well as generally strange practices- like eating mummies as medicine!
Oh yeah! I was recently watching a whole series of documentaries about all the things that were killing the victorians very interesting
oil paint too I think, may have contributed to Van Gogh's problems
@@missymotors do you remember the name of the documentary? it sounds very interesting!
One "beauty" trick used by some ladies was to take a bit of Laudanum to give that frail "fey" look they thought so desirable. Worked well, so long as the lady did not over-imbibe. Some parents also used it to calm their over-active children. A forerunner to today's ADHD meds?
Great job on the lighting! Glad to see you branching out from batteries!
I love how the door turned out! Great job!
Keep up the amazing work! Can't wait for next week!
Thank you Sean! I have to thank my husband for those lol!
my grandfather was a painter and a book collector. I have part of his collection and a lot of books on architecture from different periods which I never even considered using for minatures but have used for designing houses on The Sims
oh im in love with the floor!!!
The 👏🏼 detail 👏🏼
Hurry, I'm so intrigued!
Binge watching all of your videos!!! Oh my gosh...totally loving all of your projects!!!! Can't wait for part 2 on this!!
Yay! Thank you!
you are soooo phenomenal. I would have never thought to do what you did to create that box into a real scene!
Ara, that was awesome. I’m always amazed by what you do and l am so happy that you share your creativity with us! Can’t wait until next week!
Thank you Robin!
Finally got a minute to watch the video, and WOW! All the Victorian style elements are SO gorgeous! Definitely need to get a laser cutter some day.. heh The crown molding alone was amazing, then when you added the ceiling, and around the doors and windows, I just sat here and went Wooooowwwww.. haha The floor also turned out amazing. I love that paper.. It's my paper I save for the "special" projects..
Excellent work Ara! I love it. This looks like an awesome fun project. Can't wait for part 2!
I’m insanely excited
The way you used the paper to mark where you were going to drill the holes for the chains by the door is so clever! I have a large art collection and I've always struggled with getting the nail on the wall in the correct place, I'm going to use this idea to get my art hung correctly now!! 😂
Awesome! I am so glad you found it helpful!
Looking forward to next week. Cant wait to see this finished, looks awesome this far!
🤗the Victorian panelling is stunning i remember Mom cleaning an old house with something like it the only difference it was polished to a high gloss which could only be done standing on ladders just glad it was not Mom’s job to do😹😹😹only the wooden floors were her job
The project looks stunning looking forward to part 2 🤗🤗🤗 glad the storm did not chase you out of your home keep safe🤗🤗🤗
Oh yeah I can't imagine having to clean all of that wood!! And especially having to shine it up! That would be a workout!
@@BentleyHouseMinis 😹😹😹yep that’s so true but with the advancement of polishing machines it sure makes the job easier now than it did back in the late 60’s early 70’s 😹😹😹 but the old houses use to smell of beeswax and lemons after all the wood was cleaned 😹😹😹
Wow, that was so gripping! Your design is superb and the Victorian architectural features are honestly above and beyond. I am constantly delighted by the attention to detail, congratulations on a wonderful first part. I cannot wait for part two.
Thank you so much Hazel! I appreciate that so much💖
What a fun project, I absolutely love it.
OMG!! I LOVE your Dremel, what a brilliant idea.... putting a handle on it. This is the first I've noticed you use it. Also, a quick tip you probably already thought of.... I put a bit of craft foam on the gripping part of those plastic clamps. They were leaving marks on something I was making so I put the foam on and that was the end of that, no more marks. And one more thing.... this box is turning out great and can I just say... That floor! Holy cow, was that a kind of meditating for you? Hahaha Alrighty then. Off to part 2, see ya there.🤗
Oh my goodness I loved loved loved this two part series. Excellent project and fabulous story. You are just so clever thank you xxxx
I'm in love with this!!!! Absolutely amazing!!
So curious to hear her Story!
Spooky!
I'm in awe of your talent Ara! Another awesome project! I'm planning something similar with the Fireplace Room Box. You've inspired me!
You are so inspiring! I don’t even know how I stumbled upon your site, but I can’t get enough.

This project is my EVERYTHING. Can't wait for next week!
Amazeballz! :D 💜 the chains at the door turned out soooo cool!
Really looking forward to the next part :)
Oh my gosh Ara. This is wonderful. I thought I would love to live in that beautiful room until the chains went on the door. I can't wait to see what they are keeping out......or in.
Btw, the tornado warning brought back memories of my many years living in Texas and Oklahoma. I'm so glad you are safe.
Thank you Jenny!! I wouldn't want to live in there either lol... Oh yes gotta love the siren warnings! And they test them every Wednesday so whenever I hear them I have to think of what day it is to decide if I need to be worried or not lol!
This looks awesome. I am excited to see how it turns out!
I love this! Especially the locks and chains. Can't wait for the story!!!
Wow! Your attention to detail is fantastic - love the architectural detail - just amazing :)
Thank you so much 😀
Hi everyone 🌙
So great! You're inspiring me again, Ara! I love that you're making the most of your cutting machine. Mine's gotten a bit dusty, except for a batch of little glitter-houses I made before Christmas. Now my mind is going back to my tree house. I made a little prototype out of a cocoa tin, and it turned out great! No innards, though. I was more interested in testing my tree-mimicking ability, and the landscaping. I'm planning to make each room separately, and then arrange them inside the tree-trunk somehow. Should be interesting!
Cant wait!
I`m in love with this!! You are so talented! Looking forward to next week!
Your craft room looks awesome in this video. Someone has been cleaning and organizing.
Thank you! Part of it is picked up... the part behind the camera could use a bit more work lol! I always feel like I am just shifting my mess around the room lol!
Yes!!!!
Love it love your attention to detail
Cant wait to see part 2 your so talented and so inspiring
Stunning!
Ahhh so excited!
I love, love, love that ghost with the keys in her hand. This is awesome :D
If you can't find the gallery glass leading you can also use black fabric 3d paint or puffy paint and just make sure that you put a hairdryer on it after it's dry to set it.
Great tip thankyou! The puffy paint probably has a finer tip to it as well. The gallery glass tip is huge and hard to control sometimes.
You are absolutely brilliant........
Can't wait so good
That laser cut detailing is amazing! Just love it!
This is so cool! I cant wait for the next one!!!!
So amazing.
Love, love it!!
I'm so excited tonight is the first night of the Miniatures Christmas Challenge not sure what channel it is on either HG or the Food Network but I was like omg Bentleyhouseminis should completely compete
Thanks for the reminder! It's about to start! :)
I watched it! It was so fun to see minis on TV!
Ooooooh what a great idea 💖
Such an awesome project! But it's Victorian and haven't we already discussed this :D Looking forward to next week!
😄😄 Yes ma'am!! We were on the same wave length way before we even knew it lol!!
As always, amazing!
I can't wait for part II 😍
