Background on this job, this is a friend of mine who recently started his own chiropractor business. This building used to be owned by a school district so it needed transformed. I re-purposed the existing cat 5e which was used for phones, and put it back for the regular gigabit network. Additionally we ran another 3,000 feet of ethernet cable for other wall jacks, security cameras, etc!
Added 6 zone 6 source whole home audio so that music could be heard throughout.
The security camera system is a genuine Dahua system. We used a JTech HDMI over ethernet adapter to allow them to have a monitor at the front desk with a view of all of the cameras.

Busy building a home in Cape Town. Any tips? Looking to do poe, but the builder has no clue what it is. I told him to just make sure the pipes are thick enough to get multiple cables in to every light switch
They paid you to set it up, so are they paying you to maintain and troubleshoot if something goes wrong?
It was for a friend so no they are not paying me to troubleshoot and maintain
Can you put 2 of the monoprice to make a 12 zone
Yes, you can actually do up to 3 units. So you would have an 18 zone, 6 source system. Check out my other youtube video on the whole home audio if you haven't seen it!

My videos mostly are, this one was not, because RUclips picked up on what little audio was coming over the ceiling speakers..so they flagged this video in particular so that it could not be monetized.
Hi mate, really enjoy ur videos and all the work you do. I have a quick question. Im wiring up for the monoprice whole home audio system in a new build. I will be using a microphone mixer with several mics around the home for paging. I will make use of the PA port input source and the PA 12v trigger on the monoprice controller to make paging announcements as well as automated scheduled alarm announcements / reminders to each zone. I was wondering is there any way i can get individual zone control for the PA announcements rather than having the PA announcement(s) broadcast to every zone?

Cool video; why do you use Dayton Audio speakers instead of Monoprice?
Monoprice charges for shipping based on weight and speakers are heavy so the speakers actually get expensive fast. Parts-express.com has free shipping and dayton brand is a top notch brand, the quality and tone responses/frequencies Are great
