    I just moved to the Far West side but where are all the local parks not part of a particular subdivision or golf course??

    • @SanAntonioTexasLiving
      @SanAntonioTexasLiving  Год назад +1

      Most of the communities do have their own parks within the neighborhood, but there are a few public options as well.
      We've had sports practices and walked the trails at the Culebra Creek Park with our kids and many of the school playgrounds & fields are also available after hours. My wife and I like to use the tennis courts at the highschool and middle school. Government Canyon also has a play scape, camping grounds, miles of trails, and picnic areas.
      There's also Medallion Park off Kyle Seale Pkwy, the Helotes City Park off Bandera Rd, and Helotes also has a fitness and golf disk park off FM 1560.
      The Briggs Ranch Golf Course is just south of Potranco off Hwy 211. I haven't been there, but I've been to the Cedar Creek Golf Course just a few minutes north on Helotes & it's really nice.
      Those should all be within a 10-15min drive from anywhere in the FW Side. Hope this helps😎‼️

    • @SanAntonioTexasLiving
      @SanAntonioTexasLiving  9 месяцев назад +1

      We've helped hundreds of folks move to SA, all of which were interested in finding a safe area. I'd say half of them settled on the Far West Side and the other half were pretty evenly split between the NW and Far North Side. All of those areas are really nice, it's just that the Far West Side is the most affordable so most folks give that a real serious look.
      Was there an area you were considering?

      I really like the area around the airport. The West Side and Inner West Side usually refers to the older areas pretty close to Loop 410. The Far West Side is the newer, more suburban area that sits outside of Loop 1604 and it's where a lot of our clients tend to settle. There's a very noticeable difference in the look and feel between the two.

      The South & Southwest parts of SA are the next major growth area for the city. Lots of new employers, developments, and the expansion going on. • @SanAntonioTexasLiving
      @SanAntonioTexasLiving  Год назад +1

      Good question! We've had a lot of clients explore the NE area around Converse, Universal City, and Schertz/Cibolo when they came to visit for their home search, but the majority of them end up settling in either the Far West, NW, or Far North parts of town.
      Most of the time they're looking in the $300k to $500k range for something new or built in the last 20yrs... And for the same, or slightly more money, they usually find better schools, and what they feel are nicer neighborhoods in those areas.
      I'm actually planning to cover the NE and South sides a lot more this year though. There's a lot of growth going on in those areas right now, especially on the Southside. New companies are coming in, existing companies are expanding, and several builders are opening up new communities for an anticipated boom.
      I believe the NE and Southside will be the major growth areas for the city over the next 5-10yrs.

    • @aquariaaustin2077
      @aquariaaustin2077 4 месяца назад

      ^^^This.^^^ You want best dining, then that almost always means getting inside 1604, at a minimum, and probably within 410, because the city's best restaurants are mostly in, or closer to, downtown.
      The NW side is the best bet for affordability, great schools, low crime and quicker access to the best of San Antonio than any of the other options listed. The general area falls between NW Military from Lockhill-Selma to 1604, and Bandera from Mainland to 1604. The housing is everything from starter homes (Vance Jackson between Cody Library and Wurzbach especially), McMansions to literal mansions (Shavano Park) and even to actual mini-ranches southwest of the Walmart Supercenter on DeZavala.
      So something for everyone.
      Oh--and two of the best HEBs in San Antonio are in that area--the one at DeZavala and I-10, and Alon Market at NW Military and Wurzbach.
