I agree, all of these are amazing neighborhoods and schools! I grew up in Villages of Westcreek when 1604 was still a 2 way road and we were miles from grocery stores and school. You mentioned the mature trees, I remember the builder taking care to preserve original trees on the lot, and not clearing it all out to just to plop large houses on tiny lots like you see in the newer developments. I wish there had been a little better planning of the roadway infrastucture in Alamo Ranch. My family now lives just a little further than Stillwater Ranch in Wingate and it's now a chore to take the drive out to visit them. There are no shortcut and easy ways in and out of this area. I also don't love that another developer bulldozed some beautiful bluebonnet fields to put tiny, monopoly houses. I hope developers will take better care to preserve our beautiful Texas landscape. Great video!
Thanks so much for watching 🙌🏾‼️ and you're right about the traffic on Culebra past Galm Rd. It already needs to be widened with all of the growth out that way!
I’ve lived in the Redbird Ranch neighborhood since 2015, and couldn’t be happier. Other then the Villages of Westcreek (kind of too old of homes, and not as well kept up as other community’s for me) I agree with most of the community’s that were mentioned. There has been some unwanted crime in, and around the Bella Vista lately. So that’s why I prefer the tucked away community’s on the far West Side better. My top 5 community’s on the far west side of San Antonio are… 1-Redbird Ranch, 2-Potranco Ranch, 3-Alamo Ranch, 4- Brigs Ranch, and lastly 5-the community’s of TRP (Texas Research Parkway). Top reasons I picked these community’s are… 1- The high sense of community, and diversity, 2- a country feel, and no city taxes, 3- the Best school district in San Antonio NSISD, 4- the ease of traffic, and quick access to the cities highway system. 5- and lastly even though these community’s have allot of homes in them at night it’s dead silent (which is something that you wouldn’t expect in larger packed communities)
Great video, love the content. That area of town is appealing. I decided to settle in castle hills after moving to SA due to the large lots, tree canopies and mid-century charm. Ironically when I travel out to the far west side to visit friends, it doesn't fill like SA... similar developments are being done in far Eastside near Randolph AFB in St Hedwig and Schertz.
Thanks for the comment! One of the things we always mention to people is how each part of the city has its own look and feel. Castle Hills is a really beautiful part of SA. Looking forwad to getting over soon there for a video!
Your doing an incredible job of selling the San antonio area! My family and I are planning a move to the area and your videos are helping a lot. Were in the early stages and hoping for a summer 2022 move! After a few days of binge watching I'm going to subscribe directly after sending this lol. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the love 🤩‼️ We've actually been connecting with a lot of folks about their move for Spring & Summer of 2022. Glad to hear the videos are helping. Have you had a chance to reach out to our team yet? We'd be happy to discuss things and help come up with a plan whenever you're ready😎.
Great video, the wife and I have been trying to find a neighborhood out there incase we transfer to the new Costco you guys are getting from ours out in California. Your property taxes are insane but I guess that's why you have beautiful schools and highways. Il definitely be reaching out
Been meaning to get this one for a while now! We've been really busy helping so many people move here that we had to grow our team of agents just to meet the demand. SUPER excited🤩 to get back to weekly content‼️ #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork
Great video buddy , doing our city proud ..( maybe a little to much they’re coming in droves !! ) lol . Living in the Alta / Monte vista area for years love the historical district but now buying in Stone Oak area . I love watching your videos and your energy.
Thanks for the love, appreciate the feedback! So many amazing parts of the city from historic areas out to the suburbs. My issue is that I love everything LOL!
Nice! That's a really beautiful part of the city. ..AND it's up on the list for our next video😎. We're currently working with a lot of people on the new construction front. Let us know if you need anything in terms of representation. We'd be happy to help😀
Great Video, and a great list of community’s! Overall no other part of San Antonio beats the far west side. I remember when there were no other communities on Potranco Road between Amhurst, and Redbird Ranch. Way back when Potranco Road was still two lanes.
Just moved to S.A from Los Angeles. I frequent that H.E.B and I love it!!! Looking to buy a house on the Westside its nice and calm. I have everthing I need down Potranco rd. I'll hit you guys up as soon as my house sells and im ready to buy
Gotcha! Go ahead and shoot us a call/text at 210.510.9444 The way things are moving in this market, we'd be happy to start the conversation a little early so we can get a jump on things.
Congrats on finding a home in this market! And you're right, it's not typically considered the FW side until you're outside the Loop. All of the featured neighborhoods are outside of Loop 1604.
LOL... nah Redbird ranch is a really awesome neighborhood, one that we've helped a lot of people move into. DR Horton builds some amazing communities on this side of town, enough for them to have their own top 5. We just wanted to make sure folks got a chance to see a wide range of what the FW side has to offer😎

The only issue I see you may have with the Redbird Ranch community is any home that gets listed sells within a week. Also The sense of community is so high in Redbird Ranch. That we support each other from handyman services to realtors… Any home services that you may need there are at least a few of your neighbors that have you covered. We like to keep it in the community if at all possible.
Would my family be able to purchase a home when moving from out of state for a new job? We have excellent credit, no debt, Air Force Reserves & a job offer acceptance letter...
Wow, that'll be a big difference. Shavano Park is so close to everything. It might feel like you're a bit out there off of 1604 & 90, but all of the development out that way will be catching up soon. Seems like all the houses go in first. Should be a lot of appreciation as the area matures and prices are really good right now compared to where they're going in the next few years.
I’m moving to San Antonio in 2 months. I only know the zip codes that were sent to me. Can you tell me anything about the areas with the zip codes 78218 and 78232? I will be visiting next month but wanted to know something about these areas before I visit.
78218 has some really nice ranch style homes from mid century on west of I35, and is literally next to Terrel Hills and Alamo Heights. It is a very affordable area too. They got a few good Korean and other Asian markets there too. I'd stay west of 35/inside 410 though. I heard Camelot area and areas further east used to get a little iffy long time ago, although nothing like Brooklyn where I'm from. 78232 is just residential area of Hollywood Park and Hill Country Village with very rural feel and nice mid century homes. On the pricey side though. Where will you be working at?
All of these new companies with job opportunities, new home communities, new shopping centers, and recent highway expansion projects going in would seem to suggest otherwise😎
We moved adjacent to Alamo Ranch and, of the 4 areas of town we’ve lived in, this is the least convenient. All that growth he talks about equals major congestion to the point you almost don’t want to drive anywhere in the afternoons. And his comment about restaurant choices is a complete joke, unless fast food chains are your thing. He is right about having lots of big box stores, though.
Far from most desirable ! The most desirable is the North side, lets get real...Stone Oak, Timberwood Park, Fair Oaks, La Canterra area is the most desirable.. Alamo Ranch is nice within the suburbs but once you leave your little neighborhood it’s trash.. And Alamo Ranch is not hill country at all.
Definitely the most desirable. All the places you mentioned are nice but extremely overpriced. You get the best bang for your buck in the areas he mentioned.
The issue with the north side of the city is it’s getting old, and a rise in crime. It’s a hit or miss area now. The far west side of town is being built after learning from the mistakes that were made from the development of the north side of the city.

What about Kallison Ranch?
I have family in Boerne. It doesn’t appeal to me the same as different parts of Dallas.
The issue I have with Dallas is the traffic. Your 15 minute drive turns into a 5 hour drive at, and after rush hour.
Is bella vista close to new brainfels?
They're on opposite ends of San Antonio. It's about an hour to an hour and a half drive depending on traffic.
