One of his biographers declared: Messiah… has fed the hungry, clothed the naked, fostered the orphan… more than any other single musical production in this or any country. As a Metal (death, heavy, thrash) fan and player, classical music (my fav is baroque) is the mother of all genres and I will always love and respect it. Thanks Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Chopin, Handel, ... :)
Baroque is my favourite too! There is something regal about it! I love singing and playing the flute - try to play and sing as much baroque as possible!
My daughter first day of school is tomorrow, I was really sad thinking on how time flies. It's also my last year being in my 20s next year I will be 30 soon. I can't handle thinking about time. Until I just listen to this beautiful masterpiece helped clear my mind, focused ready for my daughters big day tomorrow I love my life and family. god bless everyone ✌
His music will last for ages, exactly as all of the other famous classical composers, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Paganini, Lists, Tchaikovsky ecc...
I can not explain why, but Handel's music always inspires me to connect with God. It fills my heart with praise, and I find myself smiling before one half of any piece is completed! Hallelujah!
G.F.Handel music is the best between the best! His music inspires, make you relax, cures your thought and mind. It makes your inner soul travels to the infinite and brings peace to this trouble world! He might be playing his music to the Angels!
My world is surrounded by pop music, reggae, rock n roll, Zook Machine and many more. However this is the most wonderful, graceful, and extraordinary music I have ever admired and heard in my entire life. It helps me to think clearly, it relieves me from stress, heartache, and headache. It heals my wounded broken spirit and now I am happy more than ever. It is now the music of my choice.
James Tuanpit He was absolutely revoluctionary, this can be the key of your admiration even if your musical culture is based on contemporary hits. A revoluctionary heart always knocks revoluctionary hearts doors. You opened it without any doubt. Great !!!
It's 2015 and I love Handel's music. He would be happy right now knowing that we all appreciate his works. If only he was still alive. I wish I could go back in time.
Yes even old war dogs love and appreciate elegance and grace filled music. My late uncle always used to listen to classical music in his workshop in Minnesota. Bless all the ages of this great music. Thank you
Handel's music fills my soul with exuberance, solitude and spiritual awareness. In my opinion his compositions are perfectly suited for me and how I hear the world around me. His music cuts through the ugly noise of present day music and the culture that has evolved from those who cannot hear, see or feel.
Handel's sacred music gives me a foretaste of heaven and his instrumentals seem to have a spiritual effect on a listener. Incomprehensible to the human mind. Absolute genius Handel is. The greatest musician that ever lived
Hear what Handel said about his own music and what other greats said about him from these excerpts from the book The Spiritual Lives of the Great Composers: George Frideric Handel (1685 - 1759) ‘A servant of Handel swings the door open to Handel’s room. The magnificent sound of music composed by Handel express how magnificent of his period in Royal palace at that time magnificently. He has born with this priceless gift from heaven. Thank Lord for giving this world this man.

i play these for my cats when theyre distressed, particularly after vet visits, and they stop meowing immediately after. very relaxing and great to help me focus! (and help my cats be quiet!!)
I frequently rely on Handel when I'm fed up with the consistency of popular music these days. Not only do I enjoy his pieces immensely, but they're very useful for tuning out the Lil Jon that blares from the downstairs flat.
when asked who he considered to be his favorite composer Beethoven said: Handel is the greatest ablest composer to have ever lived; to him I bow the knee
They exhibit profound impression which is beyond expression. I adorn Handel as master of music. They are all delight and wonder to my pleasure. I only listen to his masterpiece with respect and astonishment

am an enchanting, beautiful music, something indispensable, for eternity. Thank you Maestro Handel, thank you and HALIDONMUSIC for allowing us to experience such genial creativity.
My favorite composer!!!! It's a shame that many of his operas have been lost. Thanks for uploading this. And I'm sure that up there in the great opera house in the sky George Frederick thanks you too!
How this does not have more views is beyond me! Mozart said “Handel understands affect better than any of us. When he chooses, he strikes like a thunder bolt.” On the other hand, to Beethoven he was “the master of us all… the greatest composer that ever lived. I would uncover my head and kneel before his tomb”. I've always considered Handel top 3 IMO. Such beauty and honesty in his master pieces.
+Lusine Galstyan Many sites and articles have published this, here is www.classiccat.net/handel_gf/biography.php and : www.janeausten.co.uk/george-frideric-handel-more-about-the-man-who-wrote-the-messiah/
+salami allah-cum I guess I do, I love his music and stream it, It is just readily available to me and convenient for me but that's just me. I don't know if I'm giving him justice or not I'm just stating an opinion on a social media outlet that's all.
So far I haven't heard "The Best of Handel"!!!!...... obviously, the person who selected this Playlist does not know or care much about the Great-Works of the "Devine-Mr.-Handel"...one of my most favorite composers! He has SO_MUCH_MORE to offer! Open Your eyes - ears & soul! ~~~ Karros
+Dale Mcilwain Thanks for the info. I was hoping someone would post a bit about the composer background when I clicked this video. It's nice to get to know a little bit about these classical masters.
I was reading a book and the author mentioned the name of Handel and its music, so I try youtube and here I am listening this great music. This a perfect example that something good take you to another great thing.
I put this video to my playlist for a while ago but I didn't know how much it's beautiful. Handel's pieces are great. His pieces give me peace. Sometimes it makes me cry. 😔
.. São excelentes tbm... Chopin então com akeles toques de piano me apaixono
Let Europe get back to the beauty it created and spread all over the world and throw the current litter away. Haendel one of the most heavenly music writers.
47:52 would have to be the sweetest and most somber work of handel. I mean, this movement is indescribably beautiful. I cannot begin to explain just how beautiful it truly is. It is indescribable. It is ultimately my favorite movement of any piece on here. Wow. You can tell he really put every single bit of his heart and hisbody into this movement. Just listen to it, and really take time to absorb it. PLEASE. Just listen to it. It's time frame 47:52

This kind of music is Western culture at its finest and most sophisticated, when art was actually art, and our culture and peoples mattered. Glory to the West! May she rise once again and finer than she ever was before! For the glory of God!
I think by showing the absolute sublime beauty that the human spirit/mind/imagination is capable of, he wished to elevate people's visions and aspirations.
Ses œuvres principales : Water Music en 1717, Giulio Cesare 1724, Messie 1741, Music for the Royal Fireworks 1749.
Excellent compilation of the Beste of Handel. I'm a pediatrician, and always have classical music playing in my office. Most of my patients and parents enjoy it, and always ask what is it that I'm hearing?
From the book The Spiritual Lives of the Great Composers:
George Frideric Handel (1685 - 1759)
‘A servant of Handel swings the door open to Handel’s room. The startled composer, tears streaming down his face, turns to his servant and cries out, “I did think I did see all Heaven before me, and the great God Himself.” Handel had just finished writing a movement, which would take its place in history as the Hallelujah Chorus.’
Handel became a ransomer for other debtors in prison. One of his biographers declared:
Messiah… has fed the hungry, clothed the naked, fostered the orphan… more than any other single musical production in this or any country.
Lord Kinnoul once congratulated him on his fine performance, to which Handel replied:
My lord, I should be sorry if I only entertained them. I wish to make them better.
Haydn, Bach, Mozart and Beethoven all considered Handel the greatest composer ever and they said:
He is the master of us all.”
Haydn about Handel
Handel is the greatest composer that ever lived.
Beethoven about Handel
And when he referred to an edition of Handel’s works he said: “There is the truth.”
[Handel] is the only person I would wish to see before I die, and the only person I would wish to be, were I not Bach.”
(Bach about Handel)
To which Mozart exclaimed:
Truly, I would say the same myself if I were permitted to put in a word.
But what was Handel’s response to all this adulation? In 1759, whilst receiving a rapturous ovation after his last performance he cried out:
Not from me… but from Heaven… comes all.” And as he was nearly blind and ailing he expressed his desire that he would die on Good Friday “in the hope of rejoining the good God, my sweet Lord and Saviour, on the day of His resurrection”. He died on Easter Saturday.

But Baroque isn't the mother of all genre. Medieval music is more of a mother than Baroque because Baroque is a consequence of it.
Same. I love neo classic metal (Blackmore/Malmsteen) etc and Power Metal and we owe a lot to the Baroque composers.
Heavy metal bro ! ))
Baroque is my favourite too! There is something regal about it! I love singing and playing the flute - try to play and sing as much baroque as possible!
Chopin, Beethoven and Mozart are not baroque composers. But I agree totally with you!
5 years later....I hope you and your family are well. ;^)- Great music!!
THAT was your take away? God help you.
how have things shaped up in the last 6 years mate? how is the lil' princess doing? and how are your dirty 30s heheheh....
???
Händel is the most exuberant baroque composer ever !
His music will last for ages !
There is a sense of sheer elemental power in some of the music of Handel (sic) that is rarely matched by any other composer.
His music will last for ages, exactly as all of the other famous classical composers, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Paganini, Lists, Tchaikovsky ecc...
Sorry for any mistake, I'm Italian
I can not explain why, but Handel's music always inspires me to connect with God. It fills my heart with praise, and I find myself smiling before one half of any piece is completed! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah
I am a family man.. a soccer coach, business owner.. overachiever. I LOVE Handel. Gets me centered. beautiful music, creativity.

So truuuue! I feel so calmed!

That's awesome James
James Tuanpit He was absolutely revoluctionary, this can be the key of your admiration even if your musical culture is based on contemporary hits. A revoluctionary heart always knocks revoluctionary hearts doors. You opened it without any doubt. Great !!!
It's 2015 and I love Handel's music. He would be happy right now knowing that we all appreciate his works. If only he was still alive. I wish I could go back in time.
Handel's music takes me closer to God. Thank you sir for such brilliance.

Animals and plants respond well to it too. That's a fact.🐾🐾🌱🌿
Yes even old war dogs love and appreciate elegance and grace filled music. My late uncle always used to listen to classical music in his workshop in Minnesota. Bless all the ages of this great music. Thank you
I've lived in the inner city All my life- it has always been a refuge for me the ancient instruments blending comforts me - like R&B too.
Handel's music fills my soul with exuberance, solitude and spiritual awareness. In my opinion his compositions are perfectly suited for me and how I hear the world around me. His music cuts through the ugly noise of present day music and the culture that has evolved from those who cannot hear, see or feel.
Art Hyde Yes!!!
Thank you for This critic
Anyone hating on any genre of music does not understand the context in which it is meant to be enjoyed. I rest my case.
I thought souls were already filled with spiritual awareness. I guess not. Fill 'er up!
Yes, everyday i see people who cannot hear or see. And yes, this fine music set an atmosphere everywhere and everytime.

Handel....music of angels
My favorite composer of baroque music. Especially in his English period.
Handel's sacred music gives me a foretaste of heaven and his instrumentals seem to have a spiritual effect on a listener. Incomprehensible to the human mind. Absolute genius Handel is. The greatest musician that ever lived
Wonderfully calming music🙏🙋♂️🙋♀️👍💞💕🌹🙏
If I recall what I've read correctly, Handel was Beethoven's musical hero. Not a bad endorsement.
@@alcopersino7855 Don't know, but it was Haydn (I think) who was Beethoven's early mentor.
Hear what Handel said about his own music and what other greats said about him from these excerpts from the book The Spiritual Lives of the Great Composers:
Handel is buried in the graveyard of Westminster Abbey next to another Christian, the writer, Charles Dickens. Above his grave are the words: “I know that my Redeemer liveth.”
The magnificent sound of music composed by Handel express how magnificent of his period in Royal palace at that time magnificently. He has born with this priceless gift from heaven. Thank Lord for giving this world this man.
One of the greatest composers of classical music.
This is real music
Beethoven said he was the best of the best. And Beethoven is the best, so, he's gotta be right

I frequently rely on Handel when I'm fed up with the consistency of popular music these days. Not only do I enjoy his pieces immensely, but they're very useful for tuning out the Lil Jon that blares from the downstairs flat.
if you like him then you should try Wolfgang

My favorite composer!!!! It's a shame that many of his operas have been lost. Thanks for uploading this. And I'm sure that up there in the great opera house in the sky George Frederick thanks you too!
Bernard Ignatius Grayson Never lost , just missing ., waiting to be found .
Oh man that's a tragedy 😢
How this does not have more views is beyond me! Mozart said “Handel understands affect better than any of us. When he chooses, he strikes like a thunder bolt.” On the other hand, to Beethoven he was “the master of us all… the greatest composer that ever lived. I would uncover my head and kneel before his tomb”. I've always considered Handel top 3 IMO. Such beauty and honesty in his master pieces.

Handel's music is great for studying. Or reading a good book while snuggled in a beanbag on a rainy day.
Bendiciones.

It is ultimately my favorite movement of any piece on here. Wow. You can tell he really put every single bit of his heart and hisbody into this movement.
