The Groove Belt is perfect for concealed carry. It is a EDC tactical belt, but it’s not a stiff as typical tactical belts. It works great with compact and subcompact IWB concealed carry, but it may flex a little too much with a full size handgun, although not a lot. The advantage of this be,t is that it’s stiff when receiving force from the top but it flexes as it wraps around you and has a little flex as you expand you stomach standing and sitting. It also looks a lot better than most tactical belts. It’s like a concealed tactical belt that looks like a nice normal belt_
I carry a custom glock19 and after doing my research I went with the Kore ratchet belt and happy I did. It is extremely easy to adjust and very comfortable esp when you wear it every day like myself.
Good stuff; thanks for sharing, richard. 🍻

Nice review..and good design for casual wear
Thanks Blue wave, I appreciate your support!
-Hg
I'll definitely need one.
You won't regret it Frank.
Let me know if you get one and what you think of it.
-Hg
I’m sold on this belt after watching your review. The stretch material and minimalist design is also a plus as I’ll be using it for both casual outings and work.
Excellent, I'm glad that I was able to help.
Let me know what you think once you get it.
-Hg
Incredible I'll definitely be looking into getting one i can't handle belts that show it's not a good look
What a beautiful belt.... And functional!
It really is! And trust me... The pictures and video do not do it justice.
Let me know if you pick one up, Anthony. I'm curious as to your thoughts.
-Hg
How has this held up long term? Do you find that the stretch has loosened up any? What about bending over? Leather belts generally don't have any give, but a stretchy fabric belt might show some buttcrack. Thoughts?
It's my go-to daily belt. I added another color so I now have 3 of these Groove Belts. They all perform today like they did on day 1. I have no complaints and no butt-crack showing. 😎
-Hg
When you get a Groove belt ad before your Groove belt video...
Seems like a good allotment of resources. ;-)
-Hg
I place my order today I got two different sizes Xl 2XL one for my dad for Christmas does it tell you what size it is thanks
Hello Cody 213, I cannot remember what the packaging was like when I received them. I'm sure I ripped the packaging right off as soon as they came in through my door.
I would put them next to each other and see which one looks longer/ has more webbing.
Sorry that I couldn't be of more help on this one.
-Hg
It has that quick click buckle except that once adjusted, the stretch belt slips and will not stay as previously adjusted. Belt just keeps slipping until it is no longer Tight. Otherwise a fine belt but a bit pricey.
Thanks for sharing, Michael.
-Hg
After my nexbelt buckle jammed and broke I switched to a kore tactical belt and i am all good now.
Great to hear. Thanks for sharing, Raymond.
-Hg
Like the idea but the ridgedness isn't there. I can pick up my kore essential belt and it holds form.
It's definitely not rigid, Tad.
But is is incredibly comfortable.
-Hg
I general like to wear my belts tight when working. Does the magnet hold up if its on the tighter side?
It's all about personal preference when it comes to belts, Guy. It's tough to say until now you actually try one on.
-Hg
I have one of these belts. One important feature you should have mentioned is that it does not slip like most leather belts. It is the best belt I've ever owned.
Good point! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. It is appreciated!
-Hg
Thats a nice belt. Do thr buckles come in smaller sizes?
It is an excellent belt, Adriana. As far as the buckles, they all seem to be the same size for now. I'm not sure if they will add different size buckles. If they do, I will update this post.
Have a great day!
-Hg
Thank you :)
👍
-Hg
Guy steps out his front door. “Honey, I’m out in the field!”
Coach sorry but any belt that stretches and sags with 1 oz of weight is not a gun belt, just a belt. Not to mention it unsnaps under light inward pressure and adjusting it means taking it off and pulling hard on the straps. I sent mine back.
Thanks for the info, Kenny. But where in my review did I state that this was a viable gun belt? If you read the comments below, I actually state the opposite, quite a few times.
-Hg
Might be a ok on non gun belt day or a pocket pistol day.
True!
-Hg
My groove belt buckle literally popped open while carrying appendix. I bent over a little to grab my jacket and the buckle got slightly squeezed I think and it unbuckled. Almost lost my gun on the floor. It was embarassing to say the least. If you try to poop open the buckle you can see its easy to do. Never cc with it.
Thanks for sharing, Danny.
-Hg
I second that.
slide the buckle to three o'clock or nine o'clock position. problem solved.
I carry appendix with my M&P compact 2.0 and I've never had that issue. Only recently have I started moving the buckle over to give me space up front but either way no issues. You can certainly carry microcompact or compact but for a full size I'll probably getting a stiffer belt.
Coach I have had 2 Groove rings and they're decent but to be honest the belt sucks for guns. It is pretty hard to adjust the straps and no support at all like a bungee cord. You have to hold it down when I draw to stop it from coming up. ALso I see it is made in China too which is dissappointing.
I'm with you, Mark. They are definitely not my choice for CCW.
-Hg
Do you think it can be used as a gun belt? Like for a compact gun
Hello Javier, for a compact pistol you should be good to go. The belt does come with extra webbing to accommodate a concealed carry holster, which is a plus.
Let me know if you pick one up and if it works out for you.
-Hg
It’s not rigid enough. I tried it with my p320 and it flops around.
So it's not meant for concealing a mid size firearm then? I carry an OWB Versacarry holster with a Springfield XDs 9mm.
For me, the webbing has a bit, to much give. But it's all about personal preference, Dan.
-Hg
For my Shield and my 365xl and j-frame with an IWB holster it fine but for my Glock 19 not that good
Thanks Mike! 🍻
-Hg
Tried to carry my Glock with the Groove belt buckle until the buckle unsnapped and opened and the holster dropped. So no not nearly secure or at all stiff enough to hold a firearm.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Michael.
-Hg
Ive heard they pop open when bending over. Any light on this i dont need a 60$ paperweight maybe it needs a lock of some kind
Hello BB, if I thought the belt had those types of flaws, I would have never wasted my time reviewing it. It's certainly not a duty belt. I wear it a few times a week for casual purposes, never had an issue. It's a good, comfortable belt. However, If I ever encounter a reason to keep bending over while wearing it, I will report back with my new findings. ;-)
-Hg
Never had that issue carrying my compact firearm and I carry appendix
My dad is almost 70 & struggles with the holes of a normal belt. He has tried a few that click together. But they never last long. Would you still recommend this or anything else?
For me, I'm a big fan, PVC3. However, when it comes to belts, it's about personal choice. What works for me may not work for your dad. It's tough to say until he gives it a try.
Good luck and let me know what you decide.
-Hg
Bought one and sent it back. To floppy and I did not like the stretch, made me feel like it was pinching me... To each his own, everyone likes something different. The belt I like gets trashed by others.
I agree, Rusty. All about personal preference.
-Hg
Im an armed security officer in due need of a belt for my duty belt to attach to. Would you recommend this belt for that?
I carry with me a dara level 2 retention holster. And a springfield armory xdm 9mm elite 4.5 inch.
For now.
Thanks!
Hello The OperatorPerski, for the type of kit that you are carrying, I would go with a belt that is a bit more re-enforced. This belt may have too much of a "give" with the stretchy webbing, to offer you what you need.
For your purposes, I would look into the belts offered by Klik Belts.
They have served me well over the years and they have from 1-3ply options when it comes to their belts.
Here is a review I did on the Kilk Belts a few years ago. Let me know what you think:
coachhelder.com/klik-belts-tactical-duty-belts-review/
-Hg
Get a KORE belt.
Hey Shawn, I'm not familiar with the KORE belts. Do you wear them? Good to go? Best applications?
Thanks!
-Hg
@@CoachHelder I was mostly responding to guy above wanting a belt for his gun. KORE does make regular belts but they have a stiffer ridged belt for wearing a gun holster. That's how I came across them. They are a ratchet belt. They adjust in 1/4" increments. Just give em a quick search. After having a ratcheting belt ill never own a different kind and KORE makes the best. Had mine for over 3yrs and it still looks damn near brand new.
Very cool, I definitely have to check them out!
I appreciate you sharing your experience with us.
Thanks again and be safe!
-Hg
Does it kink on the baco line other belts ?
Hello James, I have not had any issues with that happening.
-Hg
I see the belt is stretchy, but is it also rigid? Could it hold an edc gun well?
Hello Ekim, when it comes to a compact pistol, with an IWB (Inside Waistband), you should be fine. But It's stretchy... so it's definitely not rigid.
When it comes to belts, like most EDC, it's all about personal preference.
I'm a big fan of these Groove Belts for standard duty use. i.e. instructing non-firearm courses, self defense training, etc. They are extremely comfortable and hold up my pants well -while looking pretty damn good for both professional and casual use. After-all that is their primary job. ;-)
But when it comes to load-bearing applications, I prefer something more rigid. My go-to for that purpose are the Klik Belts. They range from 1-3ply. I reviewed those here:
coachhelder.com/klik-belts-tactical-duty-belts-review/
Once again, personal preference trumps all.
I like options... Between both of the belts that I just mentioned here, I'm good to go for any "occasion."
I hope that helps and let me know what you decide.
-Hg
@@CoachHelder thank you
Glad that I could help!
-Hg
Did you attach anything to the belt? Such as a knife or a firearm. Curious if the belt will hold up.
Hello Calm Sea, I was reviewing a fixed blade knife recently, with an accompanying Kydex sheath. It was a beefy knife.
Here is that review:
ruclips.net/video/KFVU9CL66_c/видео.html
The knife weight in at about 12oz. I used the Groove Belt with it, while out in the field all weekend, and I had zero issues. I didn't even think about the belt, which is always a good sign in my book.
Now for my side-arm... I would definitely opt for a non-stretchy, 2-3ply belt like the ones that I use from Klik Belts:
ruclips.net/video/YwrR2kbwX3k/видео.html
I hope that helps. Let me know what you end up going with.
-Hg
Anyone with a larger gut have this belt? How does it feel for you? My Grip 6 belt peenches me too much lol.
Hello Joey, these belts do have a bit of stretch to them. It's difficult to say without you giving it a try. But it should be comfortable enough for you. Let me know if you pick one up and what you think about it.
-Hg
I have a bit of gut and have this belt. I would say that the stretchy-ness of it is almost perfect however when bending over, the belt is rigid and has no give (which is actually a good thing) so it does not collapse under your belly. This may he a BIT uncomfortable depending on your bent over position. But quality and functionality is better than any other edc belt you're going to find imo
@@joshatha5478 Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I took mine back to Academy Sports . Stretch edc belt makes as much sense as stretch cycling shoes .
I carry appendix and it’s the best belt I’ve found so far for my preference. What others would you recommend?
I like my belts kinda tight. This looks very loose when your wearing it. So, is it loose?
Hello Major, the belt has some elasticity to it so it is probably not the best choice for your personal preference.
-Hg
@@CoachHelder damn looks like a good belt tho. Thanks for the reply
Glad that I could help! 🍻

Low Profile EDC Belt By Blue Alpha Gear is my go to belt
Thanks for sharing, G43 X.
-Hg
How does the buckle latch together that's what I wanna know none of you that even the commercial has told me how it works
Hello James, there basically are 2 metal angled "teeth" on one side of the buckle, that recess and embed into the other 1/2 of the buckle. The buckles are then held in place and fastened by the magnets.
Let me know if you need more detail.
-Hg
I have a kore essentials belt for my ccw, but the belt is way too stiff for me and it digs into my sides. I'm hoping this will be a better fit for me. I currently use an elastic belt and it's the most comfortable setup. I carry a glock 19 with extra mag and there's very minimal sag.
Hello xST0NES, I wouldn't recommend this belt for CCW. It is very comfortable but definitely not designed for that application.
Take a look at these Klik Belts for CCW. They have 1-3ply belt options. They are my current go-to belt for CCW.
coachhelder.com/klik-belts-tactical-duty-belts-review/
-Hg
Kore Essentials digs into your sides? Is it properly fastened?
But do the magnets come off though i do alot of lifting and binding at work so will that be an issue??
Hello Jessie and Good Question!
In my experience so far, I haven't had any issues with the belt coming apart during heavy lifting or movement. The buckling system basically has 2 teeth on the top half of the buckle that recesses into the bottom piece of the buckle. This makes it nearly impossible to pull apart.
The magnets just seal the deal, so to speak, and keep the mechanism in place.
I hope that helps Jessie. If you do get one, let me know your thoughts on it. Have a great day and be safe!
-Hg
@@CoachHelder im looking for belts at the moment and right now im looking at grip6belt any thoughts on that.
I don't have any experience with the grip6, Jessie. What are your primary needs for the new belt? I own quite a few belts. Maybe I can help.
-Hg
@@CoachHelder just tired of old school belts that don't hang on anymore or grip or like the metal one's that poke you.
@@CoachHelder I want a good reliable belt
so you have to pre-adjust the belt length before wearing it. Not that I wanted.
You can definitely adjust the belt. There is extra webbing to give you more flexibility and options.
-Hg
Yes, you have to preadjust it, and after that you wont need to adjust it again
Coach yeah this is not a gun belt. Unless you think that any belt is a gun belt. I tried putting my glock and tier1 holster on it and it pratically flopped over. Sure you can carry iwb with a subcompact like any belt can. Don;t get me wrong I like the belt BUT it aint no gun belt.
100% agree with you, Mark.

With traditional belts my pants continually creep down. Does this seem to hold pants up better than traditional belts?
Hello Mike, it is all about personal preference.
I find this to be one of the most comfortable belts that I own.
Give it a try; you can always return it.
-Hg
Is it made in USA?
I know that they are assembled in the USA but I am not sure where the parts are manufactured.
-Hg
Will this belt set off metal detectors?
Yes it will, StillFamily.
-Hg
Anyone else thing belt buckle is FAR too bulky. I have a nylon belt that passes metal detetectors and can swim with. No rust, dries in mi utes
Do you have a link, ash?

Very cool, Aziel!
Let me know what you think once you get it.
-Hg
Hope they have my size
Their sizing options are pretty good. I don't think that you will have a problem, Charles. 👍
-Hg
Coach yeah its far from a tactical, edc or ANY other kind of gun belt. Groove rings but when i tried owb it rolled over. My walmart belt is better for edc.
Thanks for sharing, Noah.
-Hg
Doesn't look ideal for work if taking it off is just one small tug.
I could imagine the buckle popping apart while working...
You would definitely think so TDR, but with the way that the internal gripping "fangs" are designed, I don't see it happening. I'm a pretty active guy and have been wearing them daily for a few weeks. No complaints.
I hope that helps.
-Hg
@@CoachHelder thanks
Happy to help!
-Hg
I wonder if it's ok to have such strong rare earth magnets next to the old bait n tackle? Also if you put your phone on your lap it probably could screw it up. Also a wallet on your lap might mess up your credit cards 🤔
I think I'll pass on this one, but ok video. Thx for your time
Thank you, G DUB.
-Hg
This is a cool and comfortable belt but it absolutely Blows for an EDC belt you can mayyybe get away with it for appendix carry but if you wanna carry strong side all the way to swole of the back it is not strong enough to hold any fire arm folds over every time don’t trust this belt as an EDC belt it will fail you.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, D- Frambo.
-Hg
I mean, you really shouldn't be carrying SOB anyway.
No disrespect intended towards the reviewer but any carry belt that stretches and holds using magnets is incredibly dangerous in a gun grab situation.
Just my personal opinion
Hello RaytheonGaming, I definitely prefer a sturdier belt for CC.
Thanks for sharing your opinion with us!
-Hg
Unless your holster is interweave style. Your clip won’t grab this paper thin belt. My holster and gun come right off of it
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Ruckus.

Hello YewToob, what about the quality of the belt that you are touting is better than this one? What is it about the materials that make it 'waaaaaay' better? I'm sure my subscribers on here would like to know since you brought it up.

Casual AND Tactical.
Don't forget the "Looking Cool Factor" John. 😎

Is that a Suunto watch? (Oh it's just a Galaxy watch, that I own as well. What have we become. Foofy dog, little pool and a Galaxy Watch. I believe Galaxy 3 non-Classic. I went Classic bought that band. Too much information? A Man's man in the wild checking his latest Snapchat on his watch. 💕)
Very decent review. (I don't know why we require tactical belts...ahh, human animals --> Preppers......Excellent way for companies to profit) Finally, a concise and to the point review of anything on here. As a caveat: I believe it has a 94 year warranty and not a lifetime. ;) On average, that is much longer. (This explains the firearm magazine loader advertisement I had to watch before this video = Geez)
I will add- The entire point of a wedding ring, (which I don't believe in) is to show your bond. That's not the one from someone's engagement. Ask a finance or wife to wear a silicone ring. It's called, I have to wear this crap because of society and I want to protect my hand. At that point, just draw a ring or wear a rubber band on your finger. Comoanies will sell anything for profit. We consume

I agree Paul. But it's all about personal preference.

NO NO NO. This is NOT any tactical type of belt. Not even close. Mine is a stretchy strap with buckle that pops open easy peazy. Not secure or sturdy. I do however Love their silicone rings.
Coach these belts are Made in China.
I am not sure, Vick.
-Hg
Useless review, nothing about the mechanism & how it attaches. Saying it’s got magnets doesn’t mean anything as magnets slide apart. I imagine there’s a hook of some description but you would have thought anyone with half a clue demoing new technology in belts would point this out
Hey ubertoday, how about you post one of your review videos on here so that I can see how it's done, by a pro like you? Thanks, I'm eagerly waiting.

@@CoachHelder I’ve literally told you what anyone else with half a clue would think to include in a review. I tell you what, send me the belt you ponced off them, I’ll do a proper review & you can compare & contrast.
@ubertoby😂😂😂
It was my bad. I didn't realize that magnets were a new technology for you. I'll speak a little slower next time.
-Hg
@@CoachHelder Did you want to take me up on my offer of sending me the belt you scrounged off them? Only I sent the one I bought back as it was pretty crap; having more flaws than advantages. I shouldn’t have been surprised given that the main stay of the manufactures business is selling magical plastic rings that will cure you of all your woes.
