My wife said if I buy another belt she is gonna beat me with it...I can't wait
Lol
Lol sounds fun
Lucky dog.
Don’t threaten ME with a good time
Hahahha
So I’ve reached the age where I’m mildly entertained by belt reviews, and 20 volt wet dry shop vac reviews. I’ve never placed must thought into the purchasing of a belt until recently and I find these reviews quite helpful. Thank you.
I am glad you commented I totally just remember that a new shop vac
So after two years what do you think?
I watched 5 videos on this, and this is the only video that hit every point that was important to me. Thanks for taking the time to make this.
Glad it helped. I do the same as you. I forever watch videos before I buy
I just received my gun metal and Olive colored one. As a retired Federal Law Enforcement and current investigator I can 100% relate as I too have a bunch of tactical belts! But since being retired I have acquired a nice “Beer tumor” and now I don’t have the problem of the belt digging into my Beer tumor. The Groove Belt is stiff enough for my tac gear but flexible enough to be comfortable. “GL” on the buckle really stands for “Gun Life”….lol…Great Video!
Glad you are digging it man. Enjoy the beer in retirement.
Beer tumor 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Groove is a solid company. Wife bought me a few of their rings and one was a little small. We travelled down a half hour from Brentwood to do the exchange at their facility, and old high school. Everyone that worked their was very cool. Got a little tour from the Production Manager as well. Overall a really good group of folks👍
Very cool
You will never fail with big belt buckle. I still rock my year 2000 Hurley belt buckle, while jamming to old school Blink-182. Lol
Hekk yeah Blink
Big fan of the Nexbelt EDC belt, have been using it for over a year now and it has been perfect. The adjustment with the ratchet system is 🔥
Those ratchet belts are nice
as soon as i watch this video, i ordered 2 belts, a black and a brown. three days later received it and my first impression, WOW! look very sleek, comfortable and the buckles are very stylish. the magnets is such an awesome tool, my favorite part. gonna test it out tomorrow but i can already tell its going to be the best belt i got besides the blue alphas. i love the blue alphas which is my work belt but the GL's after putting it on feels more comfortable and EDC ish. i'm getting rid of my other belts, except the BA, this one is it. thanks Mike for your solid videos.
Thanks for watching enjoy the belts. Those blue alphas are nice too.
I can 1000% guarantee you have a pair of rock revival jeans that goes with that belt.
Hahahha Instagram story
A wild Reno appears!
I’ve been using the same jones tactical edc belt for at least a decade and it still functions like new. The stiff scuba webbing is nice.
Scuba webbing is hard-core
I bought a Kore belt and I really like it, but being a bigger dude the inside of the Kore pinched my stomach when I sat down. If they rounded some corners and slimmed down the actual ratchet mechanism it would be much more comfortable. I’m digging the design of the groove life belt. It looks way more comfortable.
Tater I know this may sound weird but ride the buckle off to the side as it if you were carrying appendix and it may be a lot more comfortable.
@@TacticalConsiderations that what i do and it feel better no matter what belt you have if you are a bigger person
This belt works really well. I’m brand new to CC and I’m really impressed by this thing.
Its solid for light edc.
Saw an ad for this belt, decided to check your video out cause I’ve been using a 5.11 double duty for almost 5 years and want to see if it was worth changing up. Looks less rigid than the Kore ratchet belt I had that dig into my sides. I like a ccw belt that I can wear casually with or without a gun and this is perfect for that. I’ll be getting one of the wood buckle models
Its great for light carry like a 43x anything more than that its a little thin but I still wear it all the time so damn comfortable .
Great belt that can be worn nicely even when not carrying!
Exactly. I have a box full of belts I am donating to homeless shelters now that have been sitting around forever.
@@TacticalConsiderations Man that’s a good idea. Love that.
It’s actually a better belt for casual wear when you’re not carrying. I have one and I don’t care for the stretch.
Qazse magnet belt on Amazon is similar design but cost $16 usd. Worth trying it for a good budget friendly alternative
I haven't seen it.
I have that belt from GL but not easy to adjust on the fly. I still like my Kore Essentials little more.
Yeah that pull through is tight
I just ordered my 2nd Kore belt. The ratcheting buckle is well made. Much better than the generics I've ordered from Amazon which would occasionally lose their bite on the belt and have to be reset. The leather Kore uses is unimpressive though. After 1.5yrs it is beginning to separate in some places.
KORE is a pretty solid betl I have a few of them but don't wear them every day. This one is pretty much use every day in summer
The Bison Belt is the perfect belt without downsides. Tegris is an incredible material indeed.
I haven't had a chance to try that one.
Awsm shirt! Just got my first T1C holster and with my kore essentials I never thought i would find a way to be comfortable carrying! Thanks for all the help through out my journey.
Glad your getting what you need
Wait... is this the same company that make my wedding ring, the one my dog keeps eating and they keep replacing for free?
Hahhah yes but don't let the dog eat it.
I've carried my M&P duty pistol off a Trayvax belt for almost 4 years now.
Trayvax makes good stuff too.
What about this belt..?? Good ?
I dig it
Never use a tactical belt I buy Kore X1 last week so far i think is a good one! Great video as always keep it up 👍🏻
Yes they make good stuff for sure
Great ad, great belt, great company!
The belt is solid. Still wear it all the time.
@@TacticalConsiderations my husband has a few of them, and wears them always. Best belt ever!
Didn't watch all the video u already earned that thumbs up ur awesome appreciate ya
Thanks for watching this is a great belt still wear it multiple times a week.
When customers ask about a good belt for CC we recommend Kore. Disclosure, we've been selling them in our gun shop & range store for 2 years now. From our experience it seems to be the best choice.
Kore is a great option. Definitely more sturdy which is why I say this is a light edc belt.
Props for the Contra shirt.
Man I miss that game was just good fun
Bruh, that shirt...the nostalgia!!!
Yeah it is.
Backed the Kickstarter campaign and did not intend to CC with it, but after running my G43X T1 Axis slim with it for a few months, I have to say it's quite amazing. Never had to readjust the size since the buckle keeps the sizing, and it holds the weight well. It worked fine with the belt clips that come with the T1, but I ended up switching to Ulticlips about a month ago, which is a pretty good combo as the belt keeps it tight against my body when I wear pants with belt loops, but since I go out in sweatpants quite a bit, having the ability to switch quickly is nice.
Very cool you were in at the beginning
What belt do you use when you use sweat pants?
I've tried this belt simply just for work, and while I do love the buckle style 100%, I found there was an issue with the belt loosening over time. It does not stay in place like they advertise, you almost having to readjust it because it will slowly creep out of tension position with wear through the day. There is nothing from making sure the strap does not creep back through the loop once you adjust. It feels like the strap is held in place, but without a second tension loop, it just allows for the belt strap to creep through the buckle as you wear it.
Personally I still use either KORE, or my usual is Blue Alpha's "minimalist" belt. Because with it, while it does use a loop system, you "lock" it into position by velcroing it into place which keeps the belt from loosening.
Awesome buckle, flawed tightening design.
A blue alpha , one of my favourites for a couple of years now
This is the comment I’ve been looking for. An honest review that tells you EXACTLY pros and cons of this belt this whole video seems just like an advertisement because he literally didn’t say one true bad thing about it other than “oh you can’t carry a larger holster” like I wanna hear what it’s like to actually wear the thing sweat in it using it day to day putting it on every day what it’s like.
@@TylerGrant54 In his defense, he'd only had it a few months as he stated. Maybe that takes more time, maybe there's a stature difference, what have you. 😀 Second, there is literally ONE pro and ONE con in the comment that you've "EXACTLY" been looking for. 🤪
Waaa 🤡
It may hold a gun and holster okay when you're standing straight up but my jeans will do that , also this belt is difficult to adjust .
Just recently got my first pistol and now looking at belts lol. I really wanted to see a review of drawing from a holster with this belt. Some reviews love it for edc and some reviews hate it for edc. Opinions seem to vary greatly.
Light edc only man. Something like a 43x mos or glock 26 anything much bigger and you have to wear it pretty tight.
I sprung for a kore belt about this time last year and it has done well starting to loose a little rigidity but not terribly hard to change when you find something that works
Kore is a solid choice. All belts loose a bit of rigidity over time unless its one of those super thick duty style ones. If I get a couple of years out of a belt I wear everyday or several times a week I feel it has done its job
@@TacticalConsiderations I have worn it everyday and through the harsh humid Mississippi summer I'm really happy with it
👍
I love this belt been using one for awhile now and you inspired me to do measurements. The belt is .09 inches (2.4mm) thick. The buckle is .37 inches (9.4 mm) thick. One thing to note if you wear Dickies it will fit the loops but it's tight.
I still run it all the time.
I've been using the Blue Alpha and the grip6. Blue Alpha makes a slim line without the cobra buckle that I was thinking of trying out but the price is $40 and no buckle. The GL seems nice but I think at that price point there are better options.
Yeah the blue alpha is great. The velcro slim is solid
Now I would like to see a review of the big silver Bonanza belt buckle in the line up lol.
Lol maybe one day
I've seen the ads about this pretty often. I'm a little bit more than tempted to get one for myself.
Its a solid option for the ultra slim set up with some give to it. I do wonder how long the elasticity will las but that can only be determined in time.
@@TacticalConsiderations least free replacement for lifetime
I just got this belt and it handles everything edc. Best belt with an incredible buckle system. I've tried many different belts and this is the one I like the best, no complaints.
I wear this all the time still and love it. Just clean simple and effective.
Back when I was overweight, a Kore belt did it for me. Now that I'm paper-thin it sends me to Print City. Giving this one a try!
Hopefully this works.
that knife pull took me off guard hahah thanks for the vid!
No problem just wanted t show the belt will stay in place.
Another great one is the Grip6 work belt
Right on I have seen it but I haven't wore it yet.
Blue alpha slim edc is still my go to. The Velcro is loud when going to piss.
Ba makes great stuff
I gotta say I sent mine back. With the G17 + X300U and a plus 1 mag the stretchy ness of the belt really put a lot of pressure on my lower back after a long amount of time. If they reduced the stretch just a little bit and added a little more “padding” I think it’d be a much more viable option IMO. Thanks for this video homie!
Good to hear your experience. I mostly wore this with my 43x mos but I did run it with my new edc set up that I'll be doing a video on soon.
Agreed. Without the stretch this belt would be a major go.
Thanks for this. I also carry a full-size
Did you try adjusting the size of the belt? I think the default sizing is set on the smaller side but is adjustable quite a bit.
@@rileyneufeld7001 it slips, it gets old. Belt was perfect at first but wore out after a few months
Love the Contra code shirt.
Thanks man.
I played the hell out of Contra growing up!
Up up down down Left Right Left Right B A select start!
CONTRA
I've found the hardest part of carrying a weapon is finding a good comfortable and affordable belt that doesn't look like a duty style set up. I have gone through many types in the 40 or so years of carrying and can't say I've been completely satisfied with any of them. Some are better than others of course but .....
yeah I have had so many belts from ultra stiff to cruddy leather its tough finding that one perfect belt. I still remember my first riggers belt in the Army so bad by todays standards.
@@TacticalConsiderations
I completely understand, lol
👍
Hanks belts.
Kore is the def best all around "gun belt" in my world. I carry all kinds of guns from Glock42 up to full size 1911. I can owb, iwb and aiwb with spare mags, knife sometimes etc and it fits all my holsters. I can also instantly loosen my kore belt 1/2 inch to sit down or super tighten it 2" with gear when I need to- without ever unbuckling. No other belt I have tried does that- including this one.
Kore is a great belt but I find myself turning to this one a lot based on how thin it is .. But if I am carrying more than my 43x I go with one of the bigger belts either blue alpha , kore or the like.
Ordered this based off your review. Saw a few others and wasn’t sure. But yours Deff helped out
It's a good belt I wore it on a week long Texas fishing trip recently. Good for light edc carry and just everyday use
@@TacticalConsiderations that’s what I need. I have a leather gun belt and it’s outta holes. Which is a good thing but it’s bulky. So looking for something everyday and when I have my pistol on me. Usually the p365 with 15rds and a foxtrot light
This belt works great with that size rig
I know the point is to be super thin but if they would double the material it would make this the ultimate EDC belt IMO. Mine is super comfortable to wear but there's just too much stretch to it. I'm constantly having to pull up my IWB shield+. If you have an easy moving job it may work better for you.
That might be a great idea for like the HD version.
Ciguera Emissary belt. Still my favorite belt
👍
I've seen this belt advertised a bunch lately here on the tubes. By watching this video and from what I've seen on their ads I'm guessing carrying owb is a no go with this one as it's not rigid enough? Personally I love my Kore Essentials belt and Vedder just sent their new V3 in for review so we'll see how that one does. Thanks as always Mike
Yeah I would definitely say this is for subcompact or micro compact in the waistband carry only I would even attempt to carry outside the waistband with a full size
Jj
I conceal carry with a Groove Life belt as well. It’s so comfortable
Yup I wore it all summer in AZ loved it.
Love mine it’s held up like a champ
Great to hear .. I wore this all summer long
Hah! I've literally been considering one of these for months. Thanks for reviewing this.
Glad I could help. Its one of those questionable things until you wear it around and get some confidence in it.
@@TacticalConsiderations definitely. Only question I still have is adjusting the length of the belt - was that pretty easy to do? Do you cut it off or just use the retention strap to hold it flat?
@@FFHavoK No, adjusting the length is not easy. It does take sone time, but once its set its good.
@@eyeguyNOLA thank you for the info
I absolutely love this belt. I just need a damn holster with a clip that actually clips onto the belt without slipping through.
Good stuff.
Had mine for a little over a month and really like it compared to my Kore belt. Much more comfortable but definitely not great for heavier set ups. Does fine with my Hellcat but considering changing holsters. Mine currently has one large clip but I think the dual smaller clips would work better with this belt. Love the little bit of stretch it provides!
I have been wearing my mostly with the Bravo concealment holster in the 43 which is a great fit
Interesting. I started using comfort conceal belt. Which I use with sweat pants and sport shorts. It can hold up to two lightweight guns, and full size guns. I haven't tried putting three on it. I even wear mine loose. It does use velcro. made out of neoprene. It has anti-slide texture for locking into your clothes.
I have a hawgholster with ulticlip. laying down, sitting in car. very comfortable. The belt was designed for working out. I learn to use the ulticlip, right where the velcro attaches. Which will double as a buckle. So far, this summer. It has been my go to.
dude that shirt. great song.
Much appreciated.
I bought a we the people holster and had to send it back because it was just hard to use hard to set up and sometimes painful to wear
Well hopefully you can find a more comfortable one.
IWB ONLY. If you try to use the Groove belt with an OWB, it rolls outward. Too much "twist" to the belt. With the ability to stretch AND twist, it will dump your gun with an OWB. With an IWB, it is phenomenal.
I only use it for IWB with 43x style and sizes maybe hellcat pro max.
I have one of these super comfy wear it everyday 🤙🏾
Right on
Damn it you sold me 🤣 and it was on sale. Got the black and carbon fiber. It's amazing and I'm a suckered for a lifetime warranty 😁
I was wearing this one today.
Fellow Zelda fan. Nice lil Easter egg
Yessss.
Great belt, I love mine 6 months in.
Very cool thanks
Maybe as just a general belt for shorts so have a knife or something, but for an EDC, I think I will stick with my Kore Essentials.
Dale nothing wrong with that. This is a light carry option perfect for slim stuff.
I have one. Best belt I’ve ever owned.
Love it for light edc
For me it’s a bit too thin and the buckle is a tad to big but I got one for my dad and he loves it
So what belt are you running
Tactical Considerations I run the emissary gun belt from ciguera gear(basically the garand thumb belt). They also have a version covered in loop Velcro that I use as my inner bet for work.
Been using the blue alpha edc belt and love it. I wish I could use a belt like this but I have a metal allergy and it'll give me a rash. Looks like a great set up though!
Do you have to carry a plastic gun?
Oh man sorry to hear that
Thanks for actually talking about stuff to put on it and how it well it works with a holster. I thought it would be to flimsy to put a holster on, but it seems as though that's not the case in your experience. I'm willing to give it a go based on this review. Greetings from the other side of the valley!!
Hey man.. Its good or light carry 43x style stuff. I still wear it constantly with my LAS ronin 3.0 G43x mos extra shield arms mag. That where I call the limit for the belt
@@TacticalConsiderations oh wow, I was thinking of hooking a P320 to it. Maybe my G48 would be the limit, but I don’t shoot it as well. Thanks for the extra info.
That's a but much for it, in my opinion. Once you get into full size owb for me it wasn't stiff enough for my liking
I was interested until I saw how much it flexed and stretched. I don't want to have to swap belts to just put on a pistol. I've ran the nylon Kore gun belt for a few years and even though it's labeled as a gun belt, it EDC's just fine for me. Cheers!
Oh yeah Kore is a great option as well. This is a slim light carry or just everyday style of belt.
@@TacticalConsiderations Understood.
Looks good , it doesn't scream Rambo and it's a reasonable price !!
Hahahah yeah no Rambo here .
If anyone’s wondering the exact thickness of the belt is just under an 1/8” (it’s stiff and it stretches slightly)
The buckle is 3/8” thick but it looks like a quarter inch
Thanks for adding that.
Np, actually I measured again and the buckle is a hair under 3/8” 👍🏼
Just ordered one
enjoy
I like my Caltech force steel core bullhide leather for edc. solid built, Ridgid for ccw ammo and no sag.
Sound like a stiff belt.
@@TacticalConsiderations it is, it’s fantastic actually. Just a little thick but that’s a given since it’s made for ccw
Going to definitely check this belt out thanks for the great content bro!
Thanks for watching
Great review! Take a look at The Wilderness belts also. A local Phoenix company that's awesome to work with.
Thanks. I had a wilderness belt several years back it was good
Ares is the only belt to wear! I’ve tried so many over the years and have settled on Ares.
I actually don't have one of those
Top Belt. Could you make a video of the best Shot Timers?
I can look into that for sure but the only one I personally own is the pact
@@TacticalConsiderations what do you say about him?
Are we taking about shot timers as in buzzers here ?
@@TacticalConsiderations shot timers.
I dig it . Some are more in depth as for setting the pact is simple, effective and does everything most will ever need
The grip6 work belt is my go to!
Solid choice.
How come you didn’t show the belt actually holding up weight from a gun/holster setup
If I should the actual gun you tube restrictions come into play
@@TacticalConsiderations stupid youtube...I'm really considering the belt but not sure if a G19 with an x300 and spare mag is too heavy
To be a 100% honest with you you may want to look into the blue or kore essentials instead. I really think this is for subcompact or micro compact carry
Never thought I’d see Dax Shepard give a review on belts
Lol well figured I would branch out.
@@TacticalConsiderations 😂
Low Profile EDC Belt By Blue Alpha Gear is my favorite
Blue alpha is a great company
I am using Nexbelt EDC carry belts. They work great. Looks like quality but seems way to flexible. I would not want the gun leaning forward, doesn't appear to have the necessary stiffness to help keep the grip in tight to the body.
Been wearing for a couple months its held fine but time will tell on the elastic
@@TacticalConsiderations Please post a follow up in a couple months. I like the styling and the adjustment ease. Guess i just need to see some long term results.
Will do
Buckledown has been my choice for almost 10 years and now I'm anxiously awaiting my GL belt.
Definitely check back in
My buddy has one of these along with his wedding ring. Seems like a decent edc belt for light carry. I think I'll stick to my alpha gear for my g19 but would definitely be a consideration for something smaller due to the stretch
Blue alpha hybrid is a great belt that one has been a go to fore me for a long time now.
@@TacticalConsiderations yes sir, it's a winner. Love it in the grey, nice change from the typical black. If you ever get another leather belt, Beltman belts are great. You can get them with an internal stiffener if you wish but the standard is great on its own. I used to use it as my edc but use it for work since I got the blue alpha.
👍
Much appreciated but just head to their site to grab one . I don't have affiliate links for them
I love my grove belt.My only criticism
is the buckle finish is easily scratched. However to be fair I wear my shirt tucked in so the buckle is exposed.
Yeah I almost never have my buckle exposed but good to know.
Love your T-shirt
Well thanks David.
Wonder how well it works on the left side for left handers since the magnet is on the outside at that point.
you know that is a really good point the little hooks go in a fare amount so its not just the magnet .
Had mine for a week now I fuckin love it
I wear this all the time still love it.
Nice belt and nice Contra shirt.
The code of Contra.
I love mine i have had it for 2 months👍👍👍
Glad to hear it.
I tried the we the people holster and really wanted to like it. Had to send it back I could not deal with how hard painful and tricky it was to use
Check into maybe Bravo concealment they have some similarly priced options that are nice.
Where’d you get your T-shirt?!? I love it. Great review.
think that one was an Amazon buy.
Luv the shirt! I need it lol
I have the link to the channel merch in the description.
So if you're a size 36 waist, would you have to buy a larger size for concealed carry?
Trayvax Cinch had been my go to for last 6 months. Thinking I'm gonna try a Nexbelt appendix next.
Rough finding the right one
@@TacticalConsiderations gotta try them all....lol... Never tried a ratchet style. But now this groove seems worth a shot too.
The ratchet is nice for small adjustments and very sturdy
New slim nexbelt edc belts what I use now. This seems interesting though
Yeah I was pretty skeptical at first but after wearing it around I was pretty happy. I do wonder how the stretch material will hold up after a year or so
@@TacticalConsiderations I got one and have been wearing and edcing it since the day after this video 😂 it's awesome
Glad your liking it Tyler
I used your affiliate link and purchased two!
Awesome hope you enjoy I still wear this every summer everyday.
@@TacticalConsiderations badass. good to know!
Just curious how come you didn't Mount Your holster and draw your firearm and show us how it sits and draws and reholsters especially appendix
Demonetization is why.
@@TacticalConsiderations gotcha that sucks well thanks for the videos man you got great videos
I appreciate that. The rules have gotten pretty crazy
I wear Trayvax Cinch belt. Not sure you’ve ever wore/reviewed it. It’s amazing. At $30 you can’t beat it. Never had a single issue for the 2+ years I’ve had it. I’d like to try other EDC belts but why waste money I feel like when I have a product that is tried and true for me.
I had one when they first came out I am not sure where it went. Trayvax makes good stuff as well.
Yeah. I just ordered the belt. Question: Where I can get a knife like that one you have? Thanks.
I am pretty sure that company went under. Colonel blades.
Hey stupid question I'm a dude's wife and wanted to know Hes a bit overweight and my question is would the belt roll which is the problem we keeping running into other then the belts separating at the seams. Every so couple of months I'm forced to buy him new belts because they break down so fast it's not even a joke. I'm just looking for something more durable, and I think this might be it. Because if people thar use guns and other things on the belt to holster stuff say the belt holds well under stress. Then there's a big chance that for the regular guy that just uses the bell to hold his pants that should be OK I'm just looking for something more durable.
Hey the best option for him may be the blue alpha hybrid edc its really a tough belt with a stiff lining so its not going to have issues like normal belts from stores.
@@TacticalConsiderations thank you for the prompt response I'll definitely check it out
Jukmo and grip6 are great. Grip6 just needs to be a size up for edc. Also grip6 is made in America so that’s a huge plus. The jukmo has a little stretch so it’s super comfortable for edc, especially when you sit, it’s stretches to account for the change in angle. Also it’s $17. Both belts are super strong and really thin. The grip6 is really thin and still retains. The jukmo is slightly thicker and I usually wear that for edc and use the grip6 for casual/slight edc. Super minimalistic too. Grip6 is only $35 too
Thanks man I appreciate the info
Grip6 has a 1.75 inch belt now
